  1. Night night Shari (if you are going, I'm not sure! ) MM x
  2. You need to fly "Freddie Air" He would keep you entertained, make you laugh and then you'd forget about how scared you are. It worked for me...................see if you can persuade him to go with you!
  3. No way Bexxy!!! You just haven't met a nice enough one yet. You're still young. You're gorgeous, funny and kind and you'll find the right person. He obviously wasn't the right person, but at least you're not wasting any more time on him and now you've got the opportunity to find the right one.
  4. I haven't got gay parnsips or bridesmaid dresses!
  5. Hi Bexxy! I haven't been on for a while and didn't know that you were having a bad time. Is it health, family, relationships? I hope that things are better for you soon. If you want to book a cheap flight from Cardiff to Amsterdam you are more than welcome to stay here (even if I'm not here myself!)
  6. Are you bad too Wendi? I was terrible until I went to Italy with Freddie. I had a few drinks on the plane and found that it helped a lot. Plus the fact that I was nervous about going with Freddie and then meeting Robi and Kath for the first time. The other things made me less nervous and then the scary experience of Italian roads (not just Robi, honest! it's all Italian drivers! ). All things combined to make me a lot less nervous and I haven't been as bad since.
  7. Yes, I love it. It feels much safer than landing over towns and roads, but I suppose that in realilty, it makes no difference if you crash! (spot the nervous flyer!!)
  8. If it had been a straightforward package tour I would probably have tried, but we buy flight only and rent our apartment separately. Plus, it has to fit in with work and my parents other hoildays. They are also going to the same place 3 weeks earlier in June, so didn't want to go twice in the same month!
  9. Somehow, I think that our families might suss that one when we mention that there just happens to be a Mika in Amsterdam that we could go to instead!
  10. I'm going to Aghios Gorgios, I've been there an embarassing number of times (I think it's 9, or maybe 10), but the kids absolutely adore it and don't want to go anywhere else. My parents go there several times a year and we always stay in the same place, eat in the same place, have the same routine each day etc. Mr Mika Mad can't stand it because it's so boring and repetitive, so he's not even coming with us this year, which is why we're going to Holland as well.
  11. that sounds lovely. I love silver and turquoise, especially together.
  12. Congratulations Vicky! and a lovely present for all of us, thank you!
  13. Damn! I'm going to Corfu on 4th July! I would have to gone to Amsterdam at any other time because I can fly there from Cardiff. In fact, I'm probably going there anyway sometime this summer and haven't decide when yet.
  14. When's that Wendi? (you can tell I'm out of touch!)
  15. ....................and they have you. I hope that they appreciate that.
  16. Yes, they've reached the point now where you can buy a video camera for less than that, so it would be worth faking an accident just to pay for it. (not that anyone ever does that of course............... )
  17. I would loved to have been there Rose, it sounded brilliant! Alice still talks about Mika all the time and shows her photo to anyone who'll look. I feel a bit left out of things at the moment. It's that time of the year when I have to take a step back from the MFC and get all the RL stuff sorted. I'm working every hour I can, so Mika has to be a seasonal habit for me!
  18. I don't know what to say Wendi, that's so sad. It seems so unfair that 3 of you have serious health problems. (I must try not moan next time my sister annoys me)
  19. Hi there Leonita. I was laughing too much to stand up properly, never mind take a photo. As Wendi said, I'd have easily got the dosh from You've been framed because it was a classic, What a missed opportunity. One of our friends got very drunk here a few years ago and got on his bike to ride home and rode straight into the stream. (It's a very small, narrow stream that runs along the edge of the road and there's no pavement) I've just remembered our funniest stream incident - a Jehovah's witness got his car wedged on it's side in the stream when he mis-judged the bend...........fantastic! (apologies to any JW's, but it does make it even funnier!)
  20. Ah ha! You remember! Actually, I'm on the vodka tonight. I only started about half an hour ago, so I've got some catching up to do.
  21. What a s**t! You must be from a very fertile family! I hope that she has found a better bloke since.
