  6. I don't know who Allegra is only that Zuleika is his younger sister and that all his siblings appear in his Grace Kelly video also his mum.

Hmm.. I've seen a photo of Allegra.. and she looks very much like Paloma and Yasmine..(all 3 look as sooo pretty!) according to the 'Bohemian Rhapsody' article (one of the BEST!) Paloma, Yasmine and Allegra are Mika's sisters and Fortune his brother. I always thought Zuleika was a cousin that does the 'what's the big idea?' bit in Lollipop on LCIM.

I'll ask Mika next time we're out having coffee (:roftl: I wish!.)

Anyway.. its not really important who is siblings are.. is it? Where it is interesting and as fans we want to know EVERYTHING about Mia, we should respect the family's privacy! :wink2:

  8. Mika - Life in Cartoon Motion

    07 March 2007

    WEB EDITORIAL - webdesk@herts24.co.uk

THIS is the debut album from Beirut-born, London-based singer-songwriter, Mika, whose music attracted a quarter of a million listeners on MySpace in just four months.

His sound is flamboyant, funky and quirky, which is why he has been described as a one-man Scissor Sisters and has also drawn comparisons with Freddie Mercury. His first single Grace Kelly took the nation by storm topping the charts and introducing an almost theatrical tone into the mainstream music.

Other songs on the album can be described as Bee Gees meet Village People in a cheesy and upbeat way. This is an album most people will be able to sit back and enjoy.

Mika wants to set the bar for fantastical, 3 dimensional pop at his own height. Which is over 6’ and statuesquely sculptured, since you ask.

Welcome to his world: where some louche dilettante is throwing the greatest party in the universe and everyone is invited under his very own cherry moon. Mika is a songwriter, performer, producer and orchestrator and he’s ready to unleash his debut album to the world. Both astonishingly musical and profoundly thoughtful, his tunes combine a heady euphoric rush with darker unexpected elements: daytime melodramas and night-time tales of love, loss, abandonment, hope and happiness. They all jostle together for attention, each one a pure pop golden nugget.

    Keep it on the EDGE!

***** Please note, the giveaway you are entering is OFFICIALLY related to the EDGE "Mika" DVD Release Party at Club Cafe on Friday, March 30, 2007. PRIZES WON, MUST BE PICKED UP AT THE EVENT, NO EXCEPTIONS.

  10. Mika, Living in Cartoon Motion

    POPJOURNALISM.CA - Toronto, ON. Canada

REVIEWED BY ROBERT BALLANTYNE, POSTED ON MARCH 6, 2007

    4/5

Eclectic in a good way, Mika's debut opens with the infectious lead single, "Grace Kelly," a sarcastically sunny slice of disco-pop. Surprisingly, Life in Cartoon Motion is as consistently good as that single  a one-hit wonder he's not. Still, Cartoon Motion is front-loaded, as the first four tracks are the best, including the aforementioned "Kelly," "Lollipop," "My Interpretation" and "Love Today." Hilariously, Mika delivers his radio-friendly falsetto pop with a knowing insincerity, which works, ironically, whether you're in on the joke or not. (Universal)
