i for one HATE Take That and am glad Mika turned them down .... but i mean why would someone with a sell out tour of their own support them?
Steady on - each to their own ! !! Anyway, no offence to Mika, but a sell out tour of the sizes of Mika's gigs (so far) can hardly compare to 65000+ at each of Take That's last year. It's a judgment call by his agents & if they think Mika can sell enough tickets then great, but Take That aren't touring til Dec & it would have guaranteed Mika a HUGE audience, when, for all we know, things may well have cooled down for him by then. DON'T have a go at me - I LOVE Mika:mf_lustslow: & can't wait to see him on Tues, I'm just playing devil's advocate here.
-
Gorgeous isn't it. When he was on SKY all last week it showed it & I thought he sang it beautifully too -he's got such a versatile voice. Apparently he has an 8 octave range.
-
OMG is it just ME - am I going to have to do the crazed stalker thing all on my own to get the pics we need?
-
I already stated my opinion on this in some other thread can't help on commenting on that thing about Mark Owen though, what the hell happened to him? I saw a Take That performance from when they were in Denmark a couple of weeks ago and he just looked so weird, completely overperforming and making some really wird moves, while the rest of them were just standing there calmly singing, it just looked so weird Think that song of his was called Four minute warning wasn't it, kinda liked that one anyway
He looked a bit odd on Dancing on Ice last night when he sang Smile - definately rolling eyes & twitchy. Hmm. And WHERE was GAry BArlow's wedding ring? Hope their ego's arent; getting the better of them again:sneaky2:
-
Ok I see Mika's point - but Take That AND Mika - I would've been in heaven:wub2: :wub2:
-
Yep. I have to admit it, although my heart belongs to Gary Barlow, Mika just has something (hot) about him! Sadly, girls, I think it may be in the same way that George Michael (in the Wham days of course!), Robbie (he's still not sure tho' is he?) & the GORGOEUS Captain JAck from Torchwood have! :blush-anim-cl:
-
Freddie - GET A LIFE!!!! :naughty:
-
Yep - saw it too & thought - 'hey, Mikas' made Dead Ringers - he must be really cool!'
Being a Gary Barlow fan I also couldn't help having agiggle at the t shirts at the end of the Take That sketch (anyone who saw it will know what I mean!) :naughty:

HAVE A GREAT NIGHT , CANT WAIT TO HERE ABOUT IT ALL
Me too -I'm going to MAnchester next Tues so want ALL the inside info before I go. I'm SO excited for you all.
-
Hey thanks so much - this is a brilliant link & I wondered what the meanings of the songs were as Mika said he writes as a 'remedy' to himself.
Totally identify with his dislike of flying - I went to Oz last year & hardly slept a wink!
-
He He He. Lucky me - I got the easiest one!! :naughty:
Sunny - you're male & live in Brighton (back luck for the gig yesterday then:thumbdown: ).
You work so VERY VERY hard on this website, which you created & you enjoy reading alot of the threads & joining in. You wonder what on earth you started!!!! But we al think you're BRILL:thumb_yello:
-
Any girl except me - he just doesn't do it for me!
Am I totally thick or is there a way you can can keep track of what threads you've been on? I keep forgetting what I've replied to & then get lost around the different forums?
-
At the moment yes, but fame can suck you in & spit you out. Robbie was always a bit 'wild', granted, but he had a stable family too. I'll be keeping a watchful eye on Mika's progress & hoping he does keep his own identity. Oh God, I sound like an old granny, but like I said my interest in Mika is from a purely musical point of you (ok, he is a tiny bit hot, but I'm old enough to be his mother & if I'm honest he's FAR too nice to be straight)!!

Hey, this was a great thread Freddiesdouble. I love the age range & mix of people on it.
Prepare to be bored: - I'm 42 with the best husband ever & great 2 boys of 11 & 15 ( & a gorgeous soppy golden retriever) . I currently work in a school as a secretary but have been a nurse & also a bank manager in my time. I've been lucky enough to travel too & last year we all went to Singapore & Australia (we wanted to emigrate after visiting Perth - who doesn't!).
I've always loved music, my earliest gigs being Level 42 & Go West!!! I love it that depsite my age (!!) I still love chart music (apart from the stuff that's total c--p!) & can get excited about going to a gig (MIKA!!!!). And the best thing about getting older is the peace of mind that comes with it. I love my life.
My biggest concern for Mika is that he gets sucked into the world of celebrity, looses his identity, hits the drugs scene & ends up like poor Robbie (Mika - I love your music, & you're a great looking guy, but my heart wil always belong to Gary Barlow!!!).
Anyway, thanks to all of you, who've been on here this past few weeks - I'm having a ball
-
Me too Freddiesdouble, & I understand if people are pissed off, but look at it from Mika's point of view - all of a sudden everything's gone crazy. Everyone wants a piece of him & he's probably lost his identity ( & his own diary!) already.
He doesn't want to say no (even if he could!) to anything in case it all disappears tomorrow & he's back to where he was when all those doors were being slammed in his face. It must be hard, but fans can be fickle too so I hope for his sake he gets better quick enough to do at least some of these dates this week.

So sorry, for anyone going to the gig tonight at Brighton. I know how I'll feel if he cancells Manchester next week, even if he does reschedule so I'm really sorry for you all:crybaby: :crybaby: .
-
Me too!
I couldn't believe how awful the records before Mika came on were! To think that people listen to that bland, dreary stuff voluntarily!
Maybe it was deliberate, just to emphasise what great music Mika makes!
Oh God, me too. I only got thro' the country & western by sheer devotion & will power!!!
-
That would be great fun!
Lucky me - Lulu did it herself when I saw them at Manchester Stadium.
-
rumour has it he will be supporting take that on their next tours.
if this is the case I am going to be the happiest person in happyville
my 2 faves together a dream come true.
Yay. Me too!

Yeh. Fantastic. What on earth is wrong with me - I'm like a big kid & it's GREAT!!!!
-
Yeh Mika - No 1 in the single & album chart again. :roftl:
I can listen to Grace Kelly again & again & again.
I LOVE IT!
Only 9 days to go til Manchester - wow!
And the Radio 2 interview was brill - Love the comment about his Mum & shame on those school kids for teasing him.

does anyone have the lyrics to lollypop... i have most of them but i dont understand the bit in the first verse...
"take a look at the girl next door, shes a player and a down right wh**e, shes a ???????? she wants more, oh bad girls get you down."
any ideas?
Isn' it something like Schlowzer, & if so, isn't this a jewish word for lazy person. Not sure as I my spellings def not right as I can't find anything on the net. Anyone got any Jewish connections that could find out?
Have you guys seen this?

OMG -my brother used to play the clarinet - I can still remember the chalk board grating sounds he used to make:shocked: (no disrespect I'm sure you're brilliant!).
As long as I can hit the high notes in Grace Kelly when I see him on Tues I shall be happy - hoarse but happy!!
:naughty:
