MIKA’S the mannnnnnnnnnn!

Are you feeling down waiting for the sunshine summer months to come? Need a little color in your life? Are you looking for someone sweet, fun, unpretentious, undeniably cool? Someone who seems like they don't give a **** about who's who or what's in… a.k.a. someone who is bringing genuine back, that will take your mind off of unnecessary drama, and just wants to have fun with life? As unhopeful and unlikely as it seems… don't fret… someone who fits this description ACTUALLY exists in this world. His name? MIKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night at the Grammercy Park Theatre, filled with a happy crowd and circus like balloon-filled atmosphere, Mika spread his love and rocked his and everybody else's socks/suspenders off by simply just doing his thing. The loveable up and coming Briitsh pop artsy musician, who recently has appeared in NYLON, sang and danced the night away to everybody from his family, to music big man Tommy Mattola, to number one fan Perez Hilton, to his loving loyal fans (aka me and my friends!). Mika could be described as a rare musician these days, pulling pop off in an artistic and meaningful way… and not to mention, the only person who could pull off customized colorful Cheap Monday jeans, made by his equally creative sister who does all of Mika's album art work, clad with suspenders that are part of his amazing hip swinging dance moves. I mean what other celebrity has only been bowed down to by the harsh but humorous celebrity gossip king Perez Hilton? Check out some pics from Mika's after party below… but beware, Mika is known to unintentionally break some hearts. But take some advice from the singer himself, "Relax Take it Easy" and Live your life in cartoon motion (whatever the means to you)!!!

P.S. - I've only gotten about 8 people (previously oblivious of Mika-magic) into buying the album, but it's such a great feeling spreading the love! One of them has Grace Kelly as their ringtone and it makes me smile ear-to-ear when plays. It's a different feeling hearing it somewhere other than my mp3 player/computer. Ok, I'm a crazy.

Unfortunately, most of us miss your appearances on talk shows, as we don't know the times and the places in advance! Surely, you or your team know which program you took part in and when it's going to be shown. So, do you think you could consider having some place (maybe on your own site) where you can announce staff like that? We would really appreciate it! We love you, MIKA, and we don't want to miss anything to do with you! Please, think about it, pretty please!!

Straight on. Most of the people I've talked to have only (or not even) seen the Grace Kelly video and judge. I have a huge Mika sticker on my notebook that I bring with me everywhere, so that brings up the subject a lot.

Yayyy, I'm also from Houston! I drove those 3 hours to Austin for SXSW It's a shame that there's no Mika action in Houston, no? I'm all for the campaigning to the radio stations Welcome to the MFC!

One of my friends has Grace Kelly as a ringtone Another saw a poster that said "Micah" and thought of Mika since I talk about him so much. Many can identify his songs on the commercials. Another even had a dream with Mika in it! And all of these people haven't even bought the album yet!

Mutual feelings here! But for me, my parents and my friends don't understand the greatness for Mika that I feel, so when I talk about it, I just sound insane!

I was front row at his sxsw gig, and still managed to get back and meet him. But it may be a different case at one of his real shows.

As a matter of fact, I went to a party tonight, and 2 of my mates and I broke out into Love Today. I've lost my voice now! It's quite difficult singing loudly. It's marvelous how Mika does it night after night!

Yes, I get a strange feeling in my throat and a slight headache when I attempt to sing along! I think it's because my voice is relatively low (to my gal friends that it) and it's difficult singing the falsetto

Realistically, being my shy self, I would just sit and stare in awe, not saying anything. My mom would probably point him out as if I didn't know who he was and then start talking to him about his concert we went to see. I'd probably be in too much of a shock to actually say anything.

I get excited everytime I hear the Verizon commercial, and all it is is the first 30 seconds of Love Today, I turn the volume up really loud and sing it at the top of my lungs. My brother always tells me to get a life when I do that, lol. Two of my friends have seen the commercial for Mika's CD but I haven't seen it yet...who knows what I'll do when I do see that one though, hah.

I've told many non-Mika fans about the commercial and they've all seen it, but I myself have yet to see it either! Ahhhhh.
