  1. I'm pretty sure about Vienna as that's a place I would like to visit even if Mika wasn't going to play there. If he cancels then I can have a holiday anyway! That's why I'm not so sure about going to Stockholm this time, I don't like it as much as London for example. Amsterdam sounds good because I haven't been there before. And it seems a bit cheaper than Stockholm. I considered going to Oslo and to Stockholm from there, but it's two expensive cities! Edit: Seems like Amsterdam isn't as cheap as I thought it would be! Fligths don't cost much but everything else does.
  2. Does anyone know a good hotel near the concert venue? As near as possible thank you. Is anyone looking for a roommate? IF I go to this gig I will stay from the 12th to 14th.
  3. To be honest I didn't even expect him to have a gig in Finland just yet. No one that I have talked to about him really knew who he is. His songs aren't played on the radio much, but I'm sure that can change with the new album. We just need to keep positive. There are a lot of summer festivals in Finland, so I'm pretty sure his first appearance here will happen at one of them, possibly next year already. Looks like I'm going to Amsterdam and Vienna, but I don't think I will buy my tickets tomorrow. I don't think they will sell out within a few days.
  4. I took a look at the main website of this hotel chain and it looks like the rooms in this particular hotel only accommodate 1 or 2 people. They don't have a third bed, so I have to keep looking.
  5. Oh, I just found this info: "Etap Hotel - the smart traveller's choice! Our modern, comfortable room can accommodate up to 3 people (in most countries), with a shower, toilet, and satellite TV, all for a very low price. And the next day you help yourself at our good for value breakfast buffet!" In most countries. Perhaps I will send them an email and ask if this applies to their hotel as well. The location of the hotel looks great!
  6. Where does it say they have three beds in one room? I only found double rooms and not a mention of a third bed.
  7. I still haven't decided if I'm going to this or Amsterdam. I should count all costs. The cheaper gig wins.
  8. That would mean one single room and one double room = over 300 euros. It's too expensive. If I book in that Allegro hotel it will be less than 200 euros for three nights. It's not as close though but not overpriced either.
  9. Ooh, thanks! So it's where I thought it would be and the last hotel/apartment I found could be what I'm looking for. It's quite close to the gig place.
  10. Most of the hotel rooms seem to be for one or two people. I need a room for three as my parents are going as well. I brainwashed them to go to the gig too. What's the address of the concert venue? I found a hotel worth thinking about but I've no idea if it's close to the concert venue... http://www.hotels.co.uk/hotel/details.html?roomno=1&departureDate=30-03-2010&destinationId=39254&rooms[0].numberOfAdults=3&tab=prices&arrivalDate=27-03-2010&hotelId=120334&destination=Vienna%2C+Austria#description This is a bit cheaper and they have apartments at the same price as rooms: http://www.hotels.co.uk/hotel/details.html?roomno=1&departureDate=30-03-2010&destinationId=39254&rooms[0].numberOfAdults=3&tab=prices&arrivalDate=27-03-2010&hotelId=258276&destination=Vienna%2C+Austria
  11. The venue holds 2000-3000. It's a beautiful city. I have never been there before. It's a home to many great classical compositions and the cake Sacher. Yeah, I'm definitely going! I grew up listening to classical music, and this is my favourite composition ever: An der Schönen Blauen Donau http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJgxSw199QU
  12. I don't know the language at all and I'm a bit concerned about it.
  13. The venue looks beautiful by the way. All the venues I have seen Mika before have been so modern. This will make a change!
  14. Great, we could be in the same hotel then. I've read that everything is within a walking distance in Vienna. It would be great to find a hotel near the gig venue.
  15. I have decided to go to Vienna! I need to find a place to stay from the 27th to 30th. Now, where else should I go? I want to see at least two gigs on this tour.
  16. Are there cities on the list in which Mika hasn't played before? I think I saw someone mentioning Vienna? I think I'm going to Vienna and Amsterdam or Vienna, Stockholm and Dusseldorf. I can't decide!
  17. Hmm... According to Wikipedia this venue holds 2000-3000. Could be one of the smallest concerts of the tour.
  18. Thanks! If I understood anything about the figures it holds 8000, so it's as big as Brixton Academy in London. I wonder if all the venues on this tour are as big or if there are venues that hold 3000 people? I haven't decided what gigs to go to.
  19. Aaargh! It's so hard to decide where to go! There as direct flights to Vienna but they cost 200 euros. Indirect flights are 50 euros cheaper but they take time like 8 hours. So far my options are: 1. Amsterdam and Vienna 2. Stockholm and Dusseldorf 3. Amsterdam, Stockholm and Dusseldorf 4. Stockholm, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt And I have only looked at flights so far. There's the accommodation issue as well.
  20. Of course! Like Mini Mika; he was sitting and dancing on my lap or shoulder most of the gig at Sadler's Wells.
  21. Do you speak French? I know some of it, but I don't really speak it. I have heard that they don't really like speaking English in France. Otherwise I would like to go to Paris. And I know I will go there someday, but not this time.
  22. Would be great meeting you too. I may have a new Mika doll by then. If I do, I'll take it with me!
  23. Yeah, my mum wants to go as well and I'm brainwashing her into going to Mika's gig.
  24. I might be going as well even though I live in the North. I've always wanted to see Vienna.
