I meant to tell you about the Mika/the Y&R thing. One of the characters said they saw Katy Perry open for Mika, which would have been a reference to one gig they did in LA in March 2007. There were only 300 people at that show so I think one of the writers must have been at the gig because it was such a strange thing to say

If you get a chance to go to one of the concerts you may want to wait to give it to him then because he often signs autographs after gigs. It's not guaranteed but there is a chance.

If you want advice on the hotel, then ask in the gig thread and hopefully the girls in Montreal can help you. I know there are cheaper hotels in a suburb of Montreal that is a bit closer to the balloon festival. Then you won't have to travel all the way back to downtown Montreal on the night of the gig.
