I still don't think it's any different than playing the stock market. The "sellout" artists are just blue chip stock. But eventually even they can fail as we've seen with Madonna. Look at the IPO launch of FB. Nothing is guaranteed when you are relying on market forces to decide the outcome. The buying public can be sheep but they are not machines programmed by an algorithm.

 

I think there is also a lot of randomness involved that no one can control or even predict. Everyone will tell you that Adele's foot into the US door came because she just happened to be on Saturday Night Live when the whole country was watching. Something no one knew was going to happen until after she was booked as a musical guest.

It would be so awesome if Mika would ever perform on SNL

maybe spotify just imported it from your hard disk? i can't find it there either, found some other songs with the same title, one of which turned out to be quite good , but mika's song isn't on there, at least not in germany.
