Hubby tells me its IDAHO Day - International Day against Homophibia - tomorrow - and there seems to be quite a few Birmingham clubs holding special nights (Hubby's work are having a "pink day" - darn rebellious civil servants!). So seems we probably won't be the only ones wandering Birmingham in very brightly coloured extravagant clothes - copycats!!!!!

I never normally take bags to gig because

1) they get in the way

2) you get them searched which takes up valuable running to the front time. (Can't remember if they check at the Academy or not though)

 

But I think i'm gonna have to. I've got my wig,face paints, camera and purse and stuff so i'm gonna have to. I'm gonna take a small handbag for when i'm in there and a carrier bag to put my wig and stuff in before I go in.

I'm loving the pic. But surely our boy wonder drives a "custom made" car possibly in bright colours with braces for seatbelts, although this one would match his pants!!

We heard that some students complained to bar staff and they called gig security - any students involved? - maybe they just thought they'd cause trouble cos you were better dressed than them?, is that all it takes, for some student to take a dislike to you and can ruin your night! I can't believe that security can get away with this, surely they expect people to have had a drink before the event, as long as there isn't any abusive behaviour then I can't see their problem! We need a big banner for Brum - Justice for the Leeds 5 (or however many of you there were!!) LOL.

There ain't a soul I know now who doesn't know Mika's entire life history - whether they wanted to or not. No-one is allowed in my car without an earbleeding rendition of relax/lollipop etc - the faster the song the speedier we go - whhheeeeeee *flash*... "sorry officer but it wasn't my fault Mika made me do it!!!":naughty: I have convinced at least 4 of my friends to buy LICM one of them even had to buy 2 copies cos her daughter pinched the first one! Ok so there are one or two friends who cross the road with a frightened look when they see me now - but I'll Mikarize them or die trying before much longer! My daughter has got the whole school singing Lollipop (who is Beyonce anyway!!!??? big ....ummmm.....braces.... beats big booty anyday!))

An my proudest success story is catching my hubby singing along to Love Today (with the obligatory bum wiggle) when he thought I wasn't watching (he is a confirmed punk! - not exactly Anarchy in the UK is it?)

OMG - and they are - cheeky monkeys!!!! Now I feel totally unimportant:tears: and ever so slightly used!

Best go now cos I'm starting to get a bit angry about this:mad3: - surely our nice gentle down to earth Mika hasn't become one of those far-too-important-to-talk-to-fans kinda pop person, I hope not. I know his schedual has been hectic recently but if he can find time to "relax with friends" in sunny climes then why couldn't he take 5 mins on a laptop or in one of the many recent interviews to say a personal thanks to the fans who have helped him get his big break and carry on promoting and adoring him without even a mention (stepping on the little people on the way up is a bad move!). I just getting the feeling that it will be the record company choosing the entries (with a cut throat attitude), because Mika is "far to busy to deal with THAT sort of thing". They must realise that people have lives to re-organsise if they are one of the lucky ones - unless they think that our lives are so bloody worthless that we can just drop it all at the mention of Mika.
