  1. I watched The Changeling today... About an hour and a half ago... Gave me a few ideas for this storyline. But yeah, it was an amazing film but it made me see people in general in a different light. I mean, I can't believe it was based on a true story. How they could do that to anyone... The entire story was a shock, really. That's probably a bad thing to say, but it really was.

  2. Amelia left home a long time ago. Well, left wasn’t the word - her family were ashamed of her ‘strange’ ways. Speaking of the past like it mattered. The past was now a forbidden subject almost everywhere. Children were told why at seven and it was never to be mentioned again. Like a fairy tale, it was never questioned - questions were hushed and the children were distracted. They proclaimed seven was the age when children would understand - Amelia knew that any younger they would ask pointless questions and wouldn’t remember when their own children had to know, but any older they’d question the ways of the world. Though, who wanted a world in which only the rich lived, and were noticed? In a world of the future - Amelia remembered the story like it was yesterday - it seemed that the world had retracted into the past.

She didn’t want to stay before she was sent away; her mother pleaded with her to ‘please, be a lady’, but Amelia couldn’t let go. Why did they deserve life more than anyone else? Her mother told her views like hers were frowned upon, and would lead to a life as an outcast. Amelia didn’t care, no matter what horror stories of protesters were told.

She had been chucked out in a dress, with no shoes or any other kind of clothing. Her parents believed she would be taken away, dressed like this. They were reluctant - if Amelia was seen, it would shame the family, but it was better than having a protestor in the family. But Amelia hid until the night had settled in, and climbed into her bedroom window. Packing a bag with her best dresses, a pair of sensible yet pretty shoes and some money and left. Though people would not like a lady to be alone, she found a place to sleep each night, as she went in search of the truth. Which eventually led her to the street where Emmeline Chesterfield lived.

Something was horribly wrong with the ways of the world, and Amelia would change for the better.

  3. I saw an interview where some guy asked them if the foam had another meaning. Their reaction was great.

    Oooh link please?

Ahh I can't wait for the movie... Or the TV show... Or the TWO shows I'm going to!! June 15th (I have an exam that day... Nurgh) and November 20th (with any luck, good seats!)!!!

  4. Oh, honestly your system seems WAY different than mine, like the "year 7" and "coursework" confuses me, I'm not sure I understand how he is to you :bleh:

    Is it...like a principle?

Sorry haha Year 7 is the first year of High School. Coursework is like homework, but you have to have it done to get a GCSE...

No, not a principal... Hum... Do you get separate subjects teachers? It's kind of like that, but when Year 7s join, they are clumped into classes, with a subject teacher taking them and that's their 'form'. They're supposed to help with school in general. They take the register (I think you call it the roll) in the mornings and at the end of the day, and then they take you to assembly and then before lunch do a small class on stuff like CVs and interviews and how to act, so on so on. Better, or more confusing? :bleh:

  5. So, is he just another kid at your school, or is he like... a professional - type person?

Um... Do you have registration and stuff? Like a main teacher but they don't really teach you anything... They lead your class. He replaced Mr Brown who left in Year 7 (he was nice =( ) and he had taught us English Lit and he always disliked us, even then. To this day, I say he did it out of spite. Except the last year, they teach you PSHE (which is like how to act in public, etc.) and they're supposed to help you with school in general. Pah.

I know why he doesn't like me. He thinks I'm thick. In a rush once, I made this really stupid comment which I didn't mean, you know they type where you kick yopurself later and think 'where were you brain?!'. Then I made a sarky, but half hearted comment about 'Jaws' (there's another thing I hate! That was the worst movie ever made, including HSM). He took the class and asked me 'Where were you in the film?' and I shrugged and said 'A bit on a boat.' Obviously, knowing the entire film was based arund the sea. But he took it seriously and replied, laughing 'Well the majourity of it is based on a boat. Har har.' :sneaky2: Obviously the 'thick' thing contradicts my grades - all passing, a little behind of coursework.

  6. I hate my form tutor. I'm sick of the sarcastic comments about my absence. He's all lovely to my mum if ever she mentions why I'm off, saying how he understands and blah blah blah but to my face (and the rest of my class) he adds this really sarcastic tone. Like a few weeks ago, it was 'Oh, so your better then?' and I can tell that he doesn't take it seriously. And today, the register wasn't working, so the class got in a huff cause he's making us hang around and eventually someone says 'Just write down who isn't in!'. He decides to do that, and we point out everyone's in and he repeats 'So everyone's in. And Rebecca.' Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I am so close to just bringing in tea in a flask and a bucket to shut him up!

  7. Me too =) I've got loads of stuff off there... Only been scammed the once, which was wayyyy back when we first joined (technically it's my mum's account but usually I'm the one who sorts it out :naughty: )

  8. Be very careful of anyone with no, little or bad feedback. I also would say the same of someone with general press pictures, not their own. I've been caught in that trap before. But otherwise it's a good place to get a bargain.
