  1. I express myself through music, acting, and writing. I live and breathe music, and it's really what I want to do for the rest of my life. I love to sing, and I also reallt want to be involved in musical theatre for the rest of my life. For me, there's nothing quite like embodying a character who may be completely different from myself, and expressing their feelings through music. It's one of the most fulfilling feelings I've ever experienced.

I also love to write. Opinion pieces, poetry, stories etc. Although I would never seriously consider making a career out of writing, it's still something I'm really passionate about.

  2. Music. I first heard "Grace Kelly" on the radio, then my friend played the entire album for me. I didn't find out what he looked like until after I bought the album for myself, and saw his picture in the CD booklet.

It's really all about the music for me, but it doesn't hurt when the musician's a stone cold fox, either. :wink2:

  3. hmmm...wonder if this bumped thread has anything to do with MIKA looking for brains vs beauty....:

I just read a Celebrity magazine that Nicole Richie might be expecting! :roftl:

    Wait...that's not a book. :naughty:

*looks around the room for something more intelligent to offer and can't seem to find anything other than daughter's Dr. Seuss*

I just want him to LOVE ME!:crybaby:

Actually, I see that thread until after I bumped this one.:biggrin2:

  4. I decided to give this one a bump, because I absolutely love reading. I pretty much always have a book in my hands.:biggrin2:

Here are some books I've read that are just fabulous, with some summaries from amazon.com

Life of Pi: The precocious son of a zookeeper, 16-year-old Pi Patel is raised in Pondicherry, India, where he tries on various faiths for size, attracting "religions the way a dog attracts fleas." Planning a move to Canada, his father packs up the family and their menagerie and they hitch a ride on an enormous freighter. After a harrowing shipwreck, Pi finds himself adrift in the Pacific Ocean, trapped on a 26-foot lifeboat with a wounded zebra, a spotted hyena, a seasick orangutan, and a 450-pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker.

What Happened to Lani Garver: Lani Garver shows up at school, a tall, thin, strangely androgynous person. "No. Not a girl. Sorry," he says pleasantly when Macy questions him about his gender with vicious curiosity. But Claire, much to Macy's disgust, is drawn to Lani, and his wisdom and kindness begins to heal her. He takes her to Philadelphia to meet his artistic friends, talks sense to her about her eating disorder and her blind devotion to Macy, finds her a therapist. Who is this Lani Garver? He resists "boxes" like "gay." Even his age is a mystery to Claire. Strangest of all, could he be a "floating angel," as his friends at the hospital seem to believe? Meanwhile, the fish frat are closing in for the kill, and when their harassment turns lethal, Lani shows a terrible side of himself Claire has never seen.

Ragtime: (From the book cover) Ragtime is set in America at the beginning of the 20th century. Its characters: three remarkable families whose lives become entwined with people whose names are Henry Ford, Emma Goldman, Harry Houdini, J.P. Morgan, Theodore Dreiser, Sigmund Freud, Emiliano Zapata.

This summer I have a bunch of books lined up: In Cold Blood, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and Les Miserables. All 1200 pages of it.

  5. HOLY CRAP! Thats awesome!!! Pretty darn close, too! I love sims too. Once I made my brother into a sim and it freaked my mom out cause the sim had the exact same manorisms as my bro then it died.

I made my entire family once. The sim of my brother looked exactly like my brother, too. He was even wearing a shirt identical to one he wears. It was so strange!

  6. Ok people, don't call me a a freak but I've tried to do Mika in the sims 2 LOL and he does not really look like him (because he's too gorgeous) but I believe he's quite cool :bleh:

My god I had so much difficulties with his jaw bones!

...I now realize that I'm officially stupid ahah

That's a whole lot better than when I tried to make one! Because I only have one expansion, I don't have enough hair and facial things, so it was preeeeetty bad.

  7. I only remember the second one! But not he first one

Ooooh. I only ever saw the first one once, on this show on teletoon that played all animated shorts. I wish I could remember what the show was called...

Like a muffin or a beet!

  8. Don't know if it has already been posted here (sometimes I avoid this thread because it is so...:mf_lustslow::mfr_omg::stretcher: ) but here it goes:

sorry if someone posted it before:wink2:

That man has the best jackets.

    So stylish!

  9. My exams are finally over! I had four practical exams and 5 written exams over a period three weeks. I think that I failed a few of them but I won't get my marks for another three weeks so I have three weeks of peace and happiness and lollipops and rainbows and lovely camp British pop singers. *dances like Carlton on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air*

    The Carlton!:biggrin2:

Aw, that was always my favourite show...

I'll be leaving in about half an hour to do my exams. I hate exams. I've got a 94 in english, and I don't want it to change.

  10. Is it the "original" model? (Like V4 apparently is.) I used to have some other model of tamagotchi a few years ago. It always ran away after 2 days no matter how good care did you take of it.

    Stupid tamagotchi. :boxed:

Oh, and started a new tama on my V4 today.

    Yeah, it's V4.

And it died again today. After three days. Ho hum. :(

  11. We have accents? Hehe. Almost everyone I know LOVES Aussie accents. G'day mate! Have you a jumper? *giggles, but in the nicest way possible*

Here's a linky to the forecast in case you want to check it before you go:

Oh and fellow Canadians who watch MuchMusic - I was watching the Big Girl video, and I can't help but wonder what Ed the Sock will have to say about that video - or any of Mika's videos - on the next Fromage! It might be painful, but I'm quite confident it will be amusing :biggrin2:

What are you talking aboot? Of course we have accents.:bleh:

    It's already out in Canada? I wouldn't know, cause I don't have a TV

Golly, I have no internet connection for 4 days, and so much has happened. Aiyah!
