He looks nice. Good package, too.
Telling it like you see it?
He's very cute, isn't he.

I just found the song
As I am listening to it I can't understand why I thought it was Mika, cos it doesn't really sound anything like him at all... I guess I just thought so because he kept playing it on repeat, but it was actually Vampire Weekend with White Sky
Thank you!
It's amazing how these songs burn that pre-gig feeling into my brain like Pavlov's dog. It doesn't happen with songs I already know, but hearing songs again that I first heard on his pre-gig playlist makes that whole state of mind come rushing back so strongly. It's kind of making my skin tingle.
Mika should post a blog outlining what the songs are every time he changes his pre-gig playlist. He'd save us a lot of effort.

Someone should make a slow mo version of that fall
(Sorry Jimmy I just couldn't resist... but you know I got mad love for you, right? )
-
And here a wonderful quality for WAG
Ooh! Sounds like he's changed the beginning? The drums don't come in until later...?
It was amazing!!And I liked all the show.
Mika was incredible of energy, talent and presence (Sorry it was the first time I saw him on stage ) but I'm too tired to say whatever clear now, I'll try to write something later but in French, it's too difficult for me to write in English
Thank you so much for the beautiful pics and vidéos, I took nothing unfortunately as I said, it was my first show and I made a lot of error of beginner , I'll get organized better the next time
Thanks for sharing! Your English is great. Glad you had fun.
Hello everyone,I attended Mika's concert yesterday in Rabat. I really loved it, one of the best concerts I've ever been to. In a word it was AWESOME!! But I can't find the link to the "happy ending" video, does someone have it?? (it was one of the best parts!!).
Thanks
Welcome to MFC! So glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Mika is on fire on the OLM-Souissi stage.
Thanks for translating.
So nice to see the pics and Mika in a fesitival settingHe seems to get better looking every day!
Ain't that the truth. You said it, Fredster.

We need to add that smiley to MFC

Great vids Sara!
She really is too good to not be a star in her own right. Sorry Mika.
-
Hmmm I think girls look for detail more than guys tbh ..I dont think I really notice teeth unless they are black and broke and stuff:blink:
That's not true. You complimented me on my teeth at Sadler's Wells. And I assure you, they're neither black nor broken.

Okay Mika this dog story is getting old.
Yeah he needs to shake it up. He should get... a quail!
OH.MY.GOD the white and blue scarf he wears on this photoshoot is a gift from my friends and I ! We gave it to him in Glasgow ! I m so happy he likes it! Can t believe it! ↲Edit : it s the same he wears on my avatarOh that's fantastic! Congrats!
-
Congrats! She's beautiful. And I'm not just saying that to be polite while secretly thinking she looks like a Cabbage Patch Kid - she actually looks perfect.
-
Thank you sooo much girls I really appreciate
But it's a quite long text, maybe I could send by PM half of it to both of you ?
I'm sorry to ask such a thing. And thank so much for answering me. And you're right Mana, it's better by PM, I thought about that anyway
Sounds good to me!

Hi guys !
I'd like to ask something to the English native speakers but I don't know if this is the right thread
I have a text translated in English, and I'd like you to read it to check if everything is correct... because it's an important text which will be online for a french company...
It'd be lovely from you guys
Thanks
I can look it over if you'd like!
Just one thing - you might want to send it to someone by PM rather than posting it in this thread... I'm not sure if it matters, but because this thread is public the text you paste would be cached by Google and then the French company could theoretically search for the text and find it on MFC. So I guess it depends if that would be a problem or not.

So we struggling, fighting to eat and
We wondering when we'll be free,
So we patiently wait, for that fateful day,
It's not far away, so for now we say
K'Naan. Love that song.

Another one of Droopsy's amazing pics. How gorgeous is this?

I noticed that Katy Perry's new song California Gurls was released to radio on May 7th, and by May 11th it was available on iTunes.
I'm not sure if it's necessarily fair to compare the two situations because of the whole movie element, but Kick Ass was released to radio (or at least to the Sun) in mid-March, but not available as a single until May. And look at WAG. It was released to radio in July but the single wasn't out until what, September?
I don't get that. It seems Katy's people are of the opinion that today's gotta-have-it-now music consumer will want to get their own copies of a song as soon as they hear it. Whereas it seems Mika's people don't necessarily share that opinion.

Ida's interpretation of the Queen of the Night aria that they'd been using as a GGG intro. Specifically this bit.
"Alle Bande der Natur
Wenn nicht durch dich!
Sarastro wird erblassen!"

May 12th, 2010
Well, had an appointment at the doctor's today and my belly now has an expiration date: May 17th! So she's not gonna be a gemini, sorry Guylaine and Sara! loll!! At least now I know I have max 5 days to go! I still hope she's gonna come out before and that I don't have to be induced!
Good news is, apparently the baby is veeeery low, very well engaged, so the doctor says I should have an easy delivery. I hope she's right!!
I can't wait to see pics!
A little Taurus girl... sign of the bull, she's going to be very stubborn.
-
Aww, thank youuuu!! Just three months until the big day!
Aww, that's gorgeous! I love that sweetheart neckline.

I'll tell here as i'd die of shame of reporting this...
So me and Mary and Lils get inside the Ritz, right?
And i try to keep a professional look so the girl in the lobby thinks the bag is a real order from Mika...and that we're not really fans, but catering deliverers or whatevah...
AS IF..
And i say: Hi, i have something for Mr. Penniman...
And everything would be fine and we would leave without a grin on her face if i don't say the last "geniuslike" sentence:
Oh, please, be sure Mrs. Penniman gets it today, it's fresh products...
She grins as she's starting wondering whether the damn bag had fresh eggs or fat milk directly from the farm...
By now, the girls behind me are about to break up in laughter so we make our best Sex & The City looks with our hairs blowing in the wind and our shades on, and walk out of the Ritz with 3 concierges opening doors to us...
I'll never putt my butt on that Ritz again...
That's an epic story.
Were you girls looking over your shoulders worriedly every minute, concerned you might trip over a popstar and his entourage without even meaning to?
-
Such luverly pics being posted! Elise, Babzz - love them!
And, that thank you video is super cute. Not gonna lie, his accent is a little bit amazing.
-
Haha, I hear people thinking: why is this bumped?? Pure coincidence, was browsing through my gig pics and came across my picture with Dan
I read this thread again from the beginning, so cute to read it all again!
Seems like he's doing good! :
Aww, my old boyfriend. He's looking good as ever.
And, working with Melissa Etheridge?! Nice work! .
-
what do you mean? once you've given birth the period pains aren't as painful anymore?yeah, that's what my mom says at least. apparently it was like that for her
Yup, my mother said the same thing. I'd be 15 years old and in agony, and she'd be like "oh, have a baby, that will fix you." Um...right.
AWESOME. Who's prepared to knock me up? :roftl:Kiddin'...
You could call up Mika...
-
I think this needs to be added.
His cover of La Solitude in Luxembourg. Thanks tiibet.
(He talks for the first bit, and starts singing at around 3:16).
-
I can't say I didn't try: being an experienced and well-travelled rock chick I really did my best to brainwash my lovely babes ... it was working quite fine ...
and then Mika came along ...
And it's a slippery slope from that point on.
Welcome to MFC! Glad to hear you and your kids enjoyed the show.
Whoops, forgot what I came in here for - video links!Mika's Murderous Rampage - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8JMte0u9jw
Erm... does Mika toss his pistol aside and whip out a bazooka or something to take out Cherisse? Talk about overkill.
Thanks for the lovely pics, vids, and reports everyone. Almost as good as being there... almost.

Oh, on the North American 1955 tour he played She's Always a Woman by the King's Singers:
And on the acoustic tour he played Chinese Children by Devendra Banhart:
And Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat:
