  1. Great interview, I liked it very much, the first part in particular, not so much the rehashed sexuality talk which makes me wanna yawn.

I LOVE what he said about the planned arena shows, even though I still dislike the thought of those very huge venues I just want to grab him and hug him for wanting to make up for the disadvantages and create something enjoyable for everyone. :wub2:

    agreed very much!:thumb_yello:

  2. I found the interview rather annoying... Is it just me?

If he doesn't want to discuss his sexuality, he should clarify that with his interviewer before. I'm sure they would reach an agreement easily. There's no need to say or print again and again all those useless words to avoid the subject. Once is enough, I just wish he stopped discussing it tout court, if that's his choice.

Or better, I wish he came out and end all the useless speculations.

That's clearly not what he wants to do and I 100% respect that.

Please forgive my lack of politeness, but I think we need a poster boy for homosexuality so badly and he's so amazingly talented, successful, smart, beautiful, down-to-earth! What better example could I possibly hope for? :wub2:

On the other hand, by avoiding the subject, he's risking to become another unnecessary bad example for gay people instead.

Just look what happened recently with Darren Hayes, former frontman of Savage Garden: he came out at the same time he was fired from his record company, so that in the eye of the public the moral of this story is "as long as you're married to a woman, you're successful, but when you decide to jump out of the closet, you lose the fortune it took you so long to achieve".

I just wish him to be still at the top when he will find the balls to reply to his interviewer: "Yes, I'm gay and perfectly well-adjusted. That's all I'm going to say about the subject and I do not intend to discuss my lovelife in interviews, I already expose my feelings enough in my songs."

I guess I just found myself another excellent reason to keep supporting him and caring for him even more.

    give it time...

and in the mean time: keep as supportive as you are.

    That's exactly what I do

  3. oh, i never thought that AGNL would make it to the album! i just meant that i have been listening to the rest for a whole year now and i'm not really listening to any other music and it is, SORRY, getting a bit boring once you even know the different live versions by heart. once you can say whether this SiTM was sung in Berlin, Milan, Paris or the Oxegen Festival... :boxed:

    :roftl: :roftl: :roftl: haha, indeed!

You start questioning yourself when you reach that point... and then ... you just listen one more time :naughty:

  4. Oh god :boxed:

They were awful... both of them.

The first one (Guillaume) tried to do a Mika imitation but man, did that fail! Listen mr Guilaume; it's NOT because you wear tight pants that you ARE Mika :mf_rosetinted:

And Grace Kelly... well... Mark obviously couldn't reach the high notes.

    Well: Mika 1 - Singing actors: 0 (and I'm being nice here!:sneaky2: )

  5. That made me smile.

Yes, not a day goes by in this house that Mika is not heard by someone, be it in the car, in my son's room (he has some of the singles), toddler miss asking to watch Lollipop (again) or putting the whole album on just to sing along to. And I was in a really crappy mood earlier this afternoon and hopped into the car to go pick up son and the tape started (yes, my car is that old it doesn't have a C.D. player and i had to tape the C.D. to be able to play it in my car) and it was Mika in the middle of Grace Kelly and I just had to smile. I couldn't help myself. I see him in my minds eye as I hear it, I can picture what he looks like when he's singing it. It certainly cheers a girl up.

my car still has tapes too :wink2: the quality of my Mika-tape is crap! Really, the voices are too high and the tape plays too fast, so Love Today is even higher:boxed:

but no way I'm throwing that tape away!

  6. phew, after a looooong reading-session:

I'v been here 8 months or something. I've always liked reading others jokes, stories, opinions. It took me a while to start posting myself. The fact that this is not my mother-tongue certainly has a lot to do with that.

It's very logical that people who can explain it well, get heared. So, a lot of the time I get 'ignored' too. But on the other hand: it's not because you don't have 10 quotes of your post, that you are ignored, is it?

About the more specific threads: I read them, I read the Apples (always with a BIIIG smile), I sometimes read the Aussie-thread, the Dutch thread. I know that if I wanted to start posting there, I can do that anytime. It's indeed my very own decision whether to participate or to stay at the sideline.

I also think it's logical that people don't interact with newbies immediately, but to me it looks like they're always respectful and that questions are answered (when a poor newbie asks once again about chicken).

This is a HUGE community, and like living in a big city: you have your favourite café, your favourite bench in the park,...

I haven't interacted more privately with a lot of people, only the ones that I've met while queuing in Brussels. I'm fine with that. I never came to this forum to make friends for life (which doesn't imply that I'm not open for it), I came to talk about that one cd that I couldn't get out of cd-player!

I agree that, once Mika start performing again, things will tone down, and we will be able to focus on that, new pictures, new video's, (new songs?) ect.

    that was a long one!

    greets,
