  1. Finally I've listened to all your songs (I've been too bussy last week) and I have to say that all of you are fantastic singers! :thumb_yello: :thumb_yello:

Cazgirl, I think I said something about your Grace Kelly version last month in the other thread. I like your Happy Ending version, you have a strong voice and a natural vibrato. Maybe you need a little more control like someone said, but you have a great voice.

Stien, I like your song very much. You have a sweet voice. Wow, I can only sing this song doing falsetto all the time, but you don't need to. Well done!

John Alan, your songs sound so profesional! You sing most of the chorus, don't you? I specially like Billy Brown. You can do the falsetto like Mika's!

Ioana, I'm so impressed by your capacity of improvisation! Your versions are fantastic, but I still prefer Billy Brown! :wink2:

Ircazo... you have a deep and sweet voice... it's like... your voice is touching us while you're singing, like a whisper... I can't explain it better, but hope you understand me!

    Did I forget someone?

One thing more. If finally we're gonna give "our album" to Mika, I think my version of "Falling" must be out of it. I don't want Mika to be angry about the unreleased songs...

thanks for your comments! It's cool that you took time to listen to all of them!

About 'overrated': it's also an unreleased song, so you don't have to give my version to him either. That would be kinda weird I think!

  2. I would try again and see what happens. I'm not sure if you have to withdraw the request first as I've never had to do it. Mika added me immediately but that was a long time ago when he was on MySpace himself on a daily basis.

She was a one-hit wonder about 10 years ago with one of my favourite songs. Nice to see her making a comeback.

She played 'show me love' actually! But in a different version with only conga's and a piano. And that worked incredibely good. She made the song more 'hers'.

And damn, she's got it when she's on stage! She's feminine and cool at the same time.

It was a very small venue: only 200 people or something, but they were ON FIRE!!

    So... back to Kate?:blush-anim-cl:

  3. Unless you can't afford it, you should go. Anyone who's a half decent artist is much better live than on CD so if you can spend time listening to her music, you will love the show. Just try to get fairly close to the stage.

I don't know if anyone watched the video I posted or maybe you just had to be there, but she had such a great connection with the audience so it's not like her performances on TV. They reacted to her every pause and expression and she responded in kind.

Even though she's tied to the keyboard a lot of the time she's still very animated during the up tempo numbers. A lot like Mika with Billy Brown and SITM.

    Wow!

that's indeed good! Little Red is a very beautiful song and there is indeed interaction. She balances between serious and joking with the audience.

I'll take a look at the price of the tickets!

BTW, can we make promo for other artists here too?

because if so: I saw this lady yesterday:

    http://www.myspace.com/robynmyspace

Mika mentioned her once in an Australian interview...

    and she rocked!!!

  4. I've got her cd and I really like it.

She has a way to talk about things that is indeed refreshing. The way she tells her story is quite vulnerable.

She's coming to Belgium in April.

I haven't decided whether I should go or not. It's a small venue, so it could work.

    Don't know yet...

  5. But these celebs need to stop whoring themselves just to get attention. There's no need for them to stop and pose for every photographer like the chick with the big hooters did.

You can't have it both ways. If you want to use the press to promote yourself, this is the price you pay.

God, seems like some of them are only going to these events to get their picture taken afterwards.

    It's just discusting... really!

And some of them are indeed rushing trough, Mika 's not the only one!

He's paying the price... the very strict minimum here.

  6. hihi I told you :naughty:

thanks for the pictures! love them! but he's wearing that horrible sweater again lol

oh and he's wearing a ring I'd like to see it closer! (just because I'm fashion obsessed :wink2: )

 he IS wearing a ring! and not just on a regular finger

Looks like a bling-ring to me!!

That sounds very flighty to me.. If I didn't know you better I'd say you want to marry Mika for the fame it will give you.. And that's probably the exact type of person Mika is avoiding now.. No one wants someone else to ride on their coattails of success.. But then again' date=' I don't really know you so I would hope, that if you do acheive fame, that you do it based on your own talents as a writer and in film..[/color']

(IMO) One thing we all need to remember (even though it's nice for Mika that people do it I suppose - if he reads the forum) when expressing our feelings for Mika on this forum, whether it be respect, love, or delusional love, that none of us know him any better than the next person.. for example: how could you know him any better than I do? Realistically? We are limited on information about it because he likes to keep things private, so most of our perceptions of him are based on interviews, others opinions and our own perceptions of our 'Ideal Man'

So that makes me and the other 8000+ mfcers equally as compatible as a potential wife of his..

In astrology, Leo's are known for choosing a partner who looks up to them. I wouldn't say they like obsessive types though, even though they like a little drama (icing on the cake). And posting on a forum dedicated to Mika is somewhat obsessive. So while I find it sweet that quite a few people here think they could be Mika's wife, due to being similar (in their opinion) to him, I find it completely unlikely and delusional that he would marry any of us. And would more likely choose to marry someone he has either known since before his fame, or someone who is somewhat musically or artistically famous, but reserved in the same way he is....

Call this age talking or life experience, but this is just my opinion.. I'm sure others see it differently.. But I'm sure many see it the same..

Besides the fact that I don't believe in astrology-things, I agree with you 100% !!

Relationships have to be based on equality, and for a fan to get together with their favorite artists: that's anything BUT equal. You get an strange situation where one person admires the other one and that simply doesn't work.

The artist should admire you just as much as you him, and in the case of fan/artist --> never gonna happen IMO
