  1. You've completely lost me with this one. :roftl: Sitting under Elephant tails. :boxed:

Well, I am afraid I am going to make the happy owners of A tickets very unhappy indeed : it seems that we will be sitting at first circle level :furious: while people with B tickets will be right under the elephants tails :fangurl:.

Good for them but, f... ! It would be lovely if some kind of screw up didn't take place for at least one of the acoustic gigs.

[Totally off topic, but was the Passionkirche piano a grand or a baby grand ?]

  2. Oh, girl...walking past people in Big Cities actually becomes a survival skill. You would be giving away all your hard earned money all day long if you couldn't just walk by them. It just gets annoying after awhile.

There is one guy who lives in my neighborhood that panhandles in the city I work in. One day, he came up for me for money and I said, "Dude, you live in the building across the street from me. You aren't homeless." He laughed and said, "Oh, thought I recognized you."

Many of these people aren't homeless so you just don't know who really needs it. If they ask for food, I'm more likely to get that for them.

My problem is I often don't "see" people. I guess from living in hard-ass towns like London and Toronto where you learn to block out the crowds and the beggars, etc. Unfortunately it has left me just generally unobservant in all situations

Standard Toaster was horrified that I could just walk past people on the street in LA who were trying to get our attention. He must think I'm a cold biatch.:naughty:

  3. Well,

I guess what concerned me is that I told Helen that I was leaving for London next week and if I could pick up at will-call (at the venue) and she wrote me back saying that they would be mailed out next week sometime.

So, I wrote her back and said that there is no way that I would get them in time and if I could please arrange pick up. I haven't received an answer back but I'm sure that there will be plenty of help.

I won't have email or a phone when I'm in the U.K or Paris so getting in contact would be very hectic.

I'm glad to see that email to FD.

Do you all not say Will-Call to mean picking up the tickets at the venue? Wow, I just googled it and found out it's a completely American Expression:

Will call is an American term for a box office where patrons of entertainment venues go to pick up already-bought tickets for an event, such as a play or concert, either just before the event, or in advance. With the onset of the Internet and e-commerce sites, which allow customers to buy tickets online, the popularity of this service has increased

I just love language barriers...and we sort of speak the same language. :naughty:

sandbag answered this when FD had e-mailed them asking about the tickets
  4. My Message to Helen:

Hi Helen, I was wondering if the Paris tickets will be will-call? I'll be leaving for London next week and if they are mailed, I will not be getting them.

    Thanks for your help, Charlotte

    My Message back from Helen:

    Hi

We expect to receive the tickets on Monday and we will pack them and mail them as soon as we can.

We will e-mail you as soon as your order’s been dispatched.

    Kind regards

    Helen

This means that I will not receive the tickets in time for the Gig. Even if I was not going to London, I still would not receive these in time. I wrote her back and asked if I could pick up at will call.

I hope so...I would be shattered if I couldn't go to the gig because my tickets will arrive to the U.S about the same time I get back. :sneaky2:

I'm sorta bummed right now......need a drink and an answer.

  5. Hey y'all,

Well, I'm freaking out just a little bit. I contacted Sandbag about the Paris tickets since I will be leaving to London next week. They told me that they will be mailing them out next week. Um, this is not good since I won't be here to get them. NOOOOOOO!!!

So, I wrote back asking if I could get them at will-call. If not, I'm afraid that this isn't going to work. I certainly hope someone can work this out. How sad to think that I'll come home to Paris tickets in my mail. :sneaky2: I think they forgot that they had international ticket holders...sending them out next week would not get them here on time even if I were not leaving to London next week.

This is soooo not good. *sigh*

  6. Oh boy..I can sure feel our "17 and under" member's pain. I remember when this happened to me when I was a kid. My Mother had to call and beg for them to let me in. It didn't work but boy, did she try. :thumb_yello: I don't understand the whole 18+ thing either. Some bars do the "All ages" shows and others do not. So, I wonder why this one is.

    Big hugs :huglove:
