  1. Wow! I didn't know which song was the one by Bronski Beat, but the moment I heard it I recognized it, because every time I hear it I think of Mika, maybe because the falsetto sounds symmilar to his.
  2. While we wait for Blackpool, I was looking through Spin mag's site, and they have a section called Terrific Twitter Trio of the Week. For the week of 21 of August, one of the ones they chose is Mika. Here's what they say: Who: Mika (@mikasounds) Why You Should Follow: The quirky U.K. pop singer has one of the most unique Twitter pages on the web. His wallpaper shows an animated donkey with a bright golden halo around its head, and his "bio" reads "long live the golden donkey. may he guard my page. fear the donkey, love the donkey, donkey is GOOD." His tweets are just as wacky -- he writes about painting voodoo faces, "dancing like a coconut," and threatening to burn down pubs. He also tweets about his upcoming album, The Boy Who Knew Too Much, and the pros of cons of stardom (example: Debbie Harry knows who he is and asks him out for drinks; he doesn't go because he’s too tired from relentless photo shoots and interviews). Best Tweet of the Week: "going mountain climbing in the french alps, cant think of work there, if you do... you fall off and die. Ha!"
  3. I belong to the second group, the weak willled. I heard all the snippets a few times but then decided not to listen to them anymore. Not because I want to be surprised, but because I don't want to "spend" them. You know that feeling when you hear a song you really like, and you don't want it to finish. Eventually, even with your favourite songs, that fades. But I have to tell you, having heard the snippets it's taking the (little) will I have not to play them over and over.Specially because we don't even have a release date in Argentina:boxed:
  4. God, his nervousness (sp?) transpires in the blog. I guess the success of the first record did take him by surprise, and now he is feeling the pressure. We feel the pressure, for Christ's sake!
  5. Of course, the minute they mention Mika I lose my connection:sneaky2:
  6. Thank you girls! I don't know if I'll be able to watch it live:thumb_yello:
  7. But something is wrong with this, they are advertising it as We are golden, not The boy who knew too much. This makes me think that it was a glitch:boxed:
  8. I just hope this isn't like the Graham Norton show, where they cut all the fun stuff and they only showed him singing.:sneaky2:Don't get me wrong, I love his singing but I also want the fun stuff.
  9. :roftl: I only know Mika and Ricky Gervais (). Who are the other (players)? Edit:Nevermind, I just saw the other thread.
  10. Well if we are going to get punk I might as well recommend him London's burning:teehee:I love that song.
  11. I'd love for him to cover Blackbird by the Beatles, but I don't know if that is a song suited for a live audience.
  12. To me in that picture he looks like Dorian Grey. That smilie is for Mika, Dorian was handsome but a horrible person.
  13. I know a lot of people think this picture is horrible, but I'm finding this new Mika incarnation very hot. By the way, they call him Mica:blink: Oh, and Bianca, where did you get that picture? Edit: Sorry it was Laurel's picture
  14. Thanks, Bienie!:thumb_yello:Your pics are always so good! And his new self inflicted haircut isn't half bad, either!
  15. We are just making time until we see pictures of the artist formerly known as His Royal Curliness.
  16. He has become quite the twitter addict hasn't he?
  17. Yes, if you don't count the mannequins. I guess he's happy to be performing in front of a much more responsive audience:naughty:
