    Okay. This thread is about discussing this song. So back on topic.

     

    The possible meaning of the song from my understanding:

     

    (a) he has no faith that a loving relationship is possible (either from a bad experience or no experience)

     

    (b) people think they are falling in love, but the feeling is fleeting and he is cautioning them

     

    © he is jealous that his life is rushing by while everyone around him is in love and he is not.

     

     

    those the exact same messages i also get from this song !!! :) in fact those are the exact same messages that i get from the demo version !!!

    I wrote the chords down so all you have to do is Google them and it will show you how to play each chord :wink2:

    hey does anyone know the chords to Mika's version of "Everybody Talkin", because i would lllooovvveee to be able to play that and also "Lady Jane" and "Any Other World (the way Mika plays it live)" ???, i be ever ever so greatful !!!

    Which songs from mika's new album do people think will be released as singles and in what order?

     

    obviously this is different from listing what you think will be your favourite songs - some seem to be more catered to being singles than others, it doesn't necessarily mean they're worse.

    I think singles will be (in this order) :

     

    We Are Golden

    Rain

    Blame It On the Girls

    I See You

    Touches You

     

    I totally agree, it think if you swap Rain" with "Blame It On The Girls" and you might have it spot on, i think he will release a ballad and from the reviews "I See You" is getting it's more than likely it will be that song and " Touches You" as got SINGLE written all over it !!!, "Good Gone Girl" is very catchy but it think that the ones mentioned have a stronger chance of being a single, "By The Time" seems like a lovely song but i think it will just stay on the album but Mika might perfrom it Live, "One Foot Boy" i love it but when i listen to it i can't thinking "album track" and it won't be the first time at my fav song from an album is an album track !!! lol. Dr John is a song that most people will like but i think it may stay on the album. Blue Eyes techinally has already been out there as it was used as a promotional single for the "Song For Sorrow EP" which was a good move from Mika. From listening to the other songs/parts of the other songs "Toy Boy" also has album song written all over it, shame because i love Paul Buckmaster's string arrangement in it and the acoustic version and "Pick Up Off The Floor "will proberebly stay on the album because it doesn't sound like a comerical single AT ALL but love the darkness of the song and bluesy feel, i can see this song beening on of Mika gems and i think he may perfrom this live oh and one more thing ... i love song :mf_lustslow:

    OMG, my mother has just said to me "john i really like that Mika song you've been playing" i said which one, she said "according to you it's one of his new ones". Then i thought she must have heard me playing the songs from the channel 4 program, so i said "is it fast,slow,in-between" and she said "it's like a ballad" so i started sing the the lyrics to "I See You" and she said "YES that's the one" and then to my amazemennt she said "not many songs grab my attention first time, but that song defatnley did ... it's beautiful" !!!:shocked: and my mother is not a fan of Mika !!!

     

    i personally think from the feed back "I See You" has been getting, i think it has the power to bee relased as a single, wheather it's the 3rd 4th 5th single for example

    I pretty much used to hate WAG:naughty:

    Now it has kind of grown on me though.

     

    From LICM Billy Brown was never one of my favourites. Don't get me wrong, I like it, it's just the song I listen to the least, I think.:aah:

     

     

     

    ain't it funny how one day you think hmmmm this song is s**t and then the next day your wooow i love this song !!! lol:roftl:

    And another time, and I did get to know him, but that's what made it wrong. So that's what I do now.. I stare.

     

    guys i really feel your pain, i really really do !!! :huglove: , i'll also think of your guys when i listen to "I See You" !!! if i ever sung this song infront of an audience i would have to try so hard to hide my tears !!!, what a wonderful and emtional song !!!

    this song get me emtionally hooked every time bacause !!!, when i was a teenager i came across a girl that i was conviced i was in love with and i never had the guts to tell her how i felt about her, i never even told my firends about her !!! and all i did was sit there stare at her !!! tripping (as mika says) over her and and wishing that i had the guts to tell her how i felt !!! also i hardly knew the girl either and she never really knew me !!!

    One Foot Boy - the itunes clip sounds great! :biggrin2:

     

    In terms of what it means, we'll all get a better idea once we can hear the full song but my initial thoughts when i saw the title was that it was about a person with low self-esteem - you know, he feels small or insignificant, as if he is only one foot high.

    Though the other ideas on this thread are very interesting, to say the least...:naughty:

    If the song is about this One Foot Boy Character, from what i've heard so far of the song !!! it seems to me it's, it's about teenage peer pressure and doing something you don't wanna do but you do it even though you know it's wrong and you know that your gonna look back and regret what you did !!! and One Foot Boy re presnets a devil figure sat on your shoulder telling you to give in to peer pressure even though your trying not to give in to peer preasure and the song itself is telling this One Foot Boy to go away !!!

    i agree with all all of you "I See You" is a real tear jerker. I see the song being one of my favs on the album already !!!. Also, i don't about anyone eles on here but, but this is a song i can really relate to on a personal level, because when i was in my mid teen's there was a girl i came across and the second a layed eyes on her love hearts appeared in my eyes lol, and the more i saw her the more i was convinced i was in love with her, she was always on my mind !!!, but the only thing was we never knew each other and i never had the gutts to talk to her and when i listen to "I See You" (even though it's only one minute of the song) i refer back to my own personal experience !!!
