I've just made these a few days ago

 

I have made these ones on an overall, for a Dutch holiday called 'carnaval', where you dress up like a pirate, princes, policeman etc, or in my case, you wear a overall that you have decorated yourself . It's a bit like halloween, but it doens't have to be scary and we don't go trick-or-treating, we just party!

I never celebrate 'carnaval' myself, but I love to watch the parades and costumes. Your idea is really lovely!

This is such a wonderful news! It'll be amazing, I'm sure. I went to performances of André Rieu and the Johann Strauss orchestra a couple of times and everytime when I saw another guest artist performing with the orchestra, I wondered how it would be if Mika performed with them. So now I'm really curious about this collaboration...

Just e-mailed the Swatch Net.hunt team to ask if they were able to hand over our team drawing to Mika. I hope it helps them to think about the prizes too!

I said, as I was told, Mika wasn't planning on being at the party all night. I clearly said he might stop in, but if he did he wouldn't stay long, and I think that's going to be the case. The party is for the fans to enjoy themselves, not for them to party with Mika all night. Sheesh.

Please don't feel bad! The fact that Mika decided to throw a party in conjunction with the MFC, proves that the fanclub is a reliable partner when it comes to organizing things. In my opinion there was no better way to express that it was uncertain whether Mika was showing up at the party. It's so easy to express displeasure... I'm just proud of everyone who runs the MFC; it's a warm-hearted community! So please keep in mind that there a lot of people, that appreciate all of your hard work and the work of other moderators.

what a wonderful day that was! as those who were there already know, nina, lara and me won the trip in the swatch net hunt competition, because the first team couldn't go (they'll get a trip to another swatch event instead). so we got a special vip treatment by swatch all day, which was really lovely! basically a city tour through london, including a driver, a private tour guide, as much food as we could eat, and a professional photographer. and we were lucky that they were flexible enough to postpone our dinner when they learned about the party! so everything was really perfect!

 

we entered the swatch store half an hour before the signing, were able to buy our limited ed. watches and got some champagne while waiting for mika. also there were about 20 swatch club platinum members. us and them got to meet mika first, before they opened the doors. we took some pictures while mika posed for photographers, and we got a pic of us 3 with him,taken by our swatch photographer. hope we'll get that soon! oh, and mika drew a "fluffy flower" (his words!) on my autograph,haha!

we had to leave then because the store was tiny!

 

it was lovely to meet the other mfcers at the party, i'd guess it was about 50-80ppl altogether. the place definitely would've been too small for 200! mika was there for about 10 minutes, he thanked us and went around a bit, followed by a (although relatively small) mob of fans. when he came to us, i said we really appreciate this (party), and he said it was the least he could do. aww! also i learned that the party was completely his own idea, not by his team or anything. i love his ideas! after he had gone, many fans left, and we had a lovely time chatting with our friends and drinking/eating snacks,listening to mika songs. tho the sausages really looked (and smelt!) questionable, lol! but the fries were ok. we also had a lovely chat with some swatch club members, they're just as crazy as us, just about watches instead about mika.

 

he's just the best popstar ever, but i think you all know that.

So happy for you, Nina and Lara! Of course it's sad that the first team couldn't make it to London, but it's really nice that Swatch decided to give the prize to the runner up (you deserved it). I'm glad to hear that you all had a wonderful day, thank you for the report!

Thank you for sharing your stories! I can't make it to any of the signing sessions, so it is really nice to read your stories (I'm sorry for the ones who didn't get the chance to meet Mika). It must be strange to 'suddenly' end up in such a hysteria... It's difficult to imagine, cause my experiences with queueing are so positive; there is always some pushing involved, but the sense of respect for each other dominates normally (I always have a great time in queue: chatting, laughing and singing). I'm glad that most of you were able to create a positive atmosphere and enjoyed the signing session!

My parents were in Paris this weekend and the blue ones were still available in the Swatch shop (maybe it's a good idea to buy it earlier today). To everyone who is attending the signing, have fun!

I'm very happy for Nicky, she deserves to have a "special prize" and, I think, Swatch's request: Nicky to send her drawing as they could give it to Mika is a little but wonderful "special prize"

Got all the inspiration for the artwork from the Net.hunt and our amazing teamwork. If it was a crap competition and if I had to do all the searching work on my own (I still have respect for the ones who did this on their own), I wouldn't have been capable of making this drawing. I absolutely can't draw on command; it's a special feeling that has to come out in a sort of artistic way! So you, Dee and the Net.hunt are the origin for this drawing.

Btw It's such an honour, that they asked to send the drawing in order to give it to Mika (or make an attempt to give it). Absolutely special to me. It's at the post office now, so I keep my fingers crossed that everything turns out fine... I'll keep you updated.

Don't know if anyone of you participated in the illustration challenge, cause we were told that we won the story competition. So if I'm right someone else should win headphones for the illustration challenge. There are a lot of amazing creative people among the mikafans, so there is still a chance that another mfc team wins!

Funny that you noticed! Couldn't draw 'The Beatles' itself, so I had to come up with something easier

The special challenge for the story was launched during the Net.hunt competition, the end date was November 7th. Our team participated in both special challenges: we had already submitted our story, when they announced the illustration competition (I love to draw, so I couldn't resist taking part for our team).
