  1.

:thumb_yello:Please come as an egg :biggrin2:

Hmmm, I'm not sure I'm completely happy with that......I think at least one of us should look half sane :mf_rosetinted: Can't he just hold an egg in his hand???:naughty:

    "I am the eggman

    they are the eggman

    I am the walrus

    goo goo gjoob"

    (Original movie soundtrack)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNDvVncPGGI (see the lyrics @ 0:55)

  2. You'd do perfect as an egg:mf_rosetinted:

I thought Humpty Dumpty was from another fairytale?

    Enough said :mf_rosetinted:................

Ingie, you just met him once, but you know him so well :biggrin2:

So an egg it will be:sneaky2:. Is there any costume for that?

So this was my daily hour mfc, will hear some of today from miek, will probably read the comments of you tomorrow myself.

    Catch you later. :biggrin2:

  3. I'm following someone on twitter who designed stuff for Alice too: http://bit.ly/6BMDTF

Uh yes I'm following Stella mcCartney, I'm a beatles fan as well, besides Mika. She's the daughter of Paul, and designer. So bring you wallet or your unlimited credit card. It's not cheap :naughty:

Oh, and by the way: I will be the Alice in Wonderland photographer. So, I've said it. Couldn't find any good costume for me:aah:, but wants to see all you wierdos all day. And yes, all will be published on MFC :thumb_yello:

  4. It´s the hotel Trianon, I haven´t still the exactly adress. It´s so nice that you help me :wub2:

I googled it and it's apparently near the Museumsquare... if it's really there then you can take tram 2 or 5 :thumb_yello:

I'm glad to help, it's always much easier to hear it from people who actually know the city as opposed to confusing websites and touristguides :wink2:

I found it. For the ones who went to the concertgebouw gig. It's at the back door of the concert gebouw :thumb_yello: where we all met Mika after the show. So indeed very close to the museumplein/square. And it's a good start for touristic activities. Quiet enough to have a good night sleep, but on the other hand very close to some museums and also the city shopping area, starting at PC Hoofdstraat with all expensive stuff, just like Bondstreet in London.

And don't forget to see the canals. I drove near the canals a little while ago and found out it's actually very beautifull. Every house is unique, not 2 of them are the same. Maybe you can take a canal cruise, starting at Damrak, near Dam Square. It takes about 30-45 minutes. The guide is a tape in several foreign languages. And there's also a tourist (american school)bus, same kind of tour, but on land :biggrin2:.

If you're interested in seeing the red light district it's also close to Damsquare. I heard they're cleaning up that area, so I don't know if there's still something to see.

If you walk along the canals, especially in the Jordaan area, there are a lot of small galleries of painting artists, mostly in the cellar of the building. Maybe you can see them at work sometimes when they are at work somewhere in the city. All amatuers, but there are talented people over there.

Watch out for the tourist shops. They sell tulips and clogs, but the tourists are the only ones buying these. It's the same in every tourist shop all over the world, selling things locals ever use. I don't have clogs at home :wink2:. They're mostly used by farmers. Very handy to have these big wooden shoes when you walk in the mud next to your cows. And I don't have tulips all year in my house :naughty:.

Amsterdam is a world city, but with close to 800.000 residents you can imagine it's a small city, everything close to each other. Some history and other things about Amsterdam: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amsterdam

Hope to give you a start for the ones taking an Amsterdam tour. Of course there is much more to see. The weather will (probably) be good in may, so you will have a good time besides the Mika gig.

  5. OOOoooh I just wrote something in the Goldlings about this .... I needed info ... I would be very grateful to be picked up ... I was asking about taxi's and not speaking dutch :lmfao:

I can tell you this about taxi's (and that's a hint for all of you): don't trust them . Sometimes they are making abuse of tourists. It's only 20 minutes drive from airport to the centre of Amsterdam, mayby 30 minutes in heavy traffic, but some taxis will drive you around for more than an hour and (of course) charge you for that. Thieves they are:sneaky2:. Watch out for them. Of course they're not all like that, but I've heard many examples.

I'll pick you up then (unless you arrive at 3 in the morning :roftl:).

So, Laurel, you're save having Monie as your personal driver. She will only charge you €500 to drive you to Amsterdam.

@Monie, I arranged you some extra cash, so you can buy all these merchandise at the Mika gig :roftl:

  6. So this will be the masterous plan Mwhoooo hahahahaha

    1) concert is still rescheduled to may

    2) but there will also be a concert march 13

    3) our British friends will kidnap Mika and his band on march 12

    4) put the band in a big cage

    5) transport by boat during the night

    6) package will be delivered in the cellar of this small Irish pub in Amsterdam

    7) all rsvd-ed people will be invited for this evenings concert :punk:

    8) march 13 at 8pm Mika and his band will be released from the cellar and put on this small stage to perform a special gig for all his lovely fans :band:

    9) 0:00 Mika will be set free

    :biggrin2:

  7. Alice in wonderland?!

My brother just told me that you can see it Imax 3D or smthn ( really good quality ) in amsterdam bijlmer... :teehee:

Amsterdam Bijlmer? You know it's the next door to the HMH, don't you? :wink2: There's a cinema, HMH, football stadium, some shops, some eat thingy's. For the rest it's pretty boring over there.. Just take the metro to the city, you'll be there in 15 minutes.

  8. You have them even in Utrecht, where I live! When I am in the bus in Utrecht, I always see this Irish pup (or is it Scottish, I'm not sure :teehee:). I always feel the need to get out of the bus and get into the bar, I never did tho.

Yes, I like little puppies too, allways get out of the bus and hug them :biggrin2:. I don't see much pups in bars though :naughty:

And what will you drink then. Orange juice? :naughty:

I don't drink alcohol at all, ever. Diet Coke for me and I get just as drunk as you guys

  9. Is it a game show or a variety show or both??

It's a talkshow... But also variety.

I think the host is a little strange.

His humour is weird or don't I have a sense of humour??

Did you see the look on Mika's face when the host referred to "little Mika" as what is in Mika's underpants?

Yes he's strange. See him as Annie the Rooy in "british got talent" :aah:: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g27XAWrp8rI

But this is also Paul de Leeuw:

It's dutch, but he has a wonderfull voice. :thumb_yello:And this is one of his most beautiful songs, I think. Of course it's dutch!! you heard him talk in english. That's the worst you all heard in years.
  10. Glad you all had fun! :biggrin2:

    Found this

I guess it's at the tent?

Here's a good example of who kind he is for his fans. In the beginning he says: "Just one more minute and then I have to leave" And then 4 minutes later he acctually left. And that was already the third time he said that. I think he really wanted to stay longer, but couldn't. He had to get his plane back home.

  11. Here are all our 47 pictures from today:

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5NCW8VO7

    Enjoy

thank you so much!....wonderful pics! :flowers2:

I made these pictures. Sorry I havn't photographed more fans. I was there with Miek, Monie and Shady. I made pictures for them and some more of Mika alone, hoping to make you happy with some close ups. I know you all have a crush on Mika. Right? :biggrin2:

Remember the signs outside for the queues? "Audience" to the right, "Mika fans" to the left. In other words: "Normal People" to the right, "weird people" to the left. :roftl:. We know what they mean. :sneaky2:

But we had a great time, didn't we. And we didn't have to pay €12,50, the audience had to.

I searched for it, but it's not possible to watch the show live online. Our international viewers have to wait untill it's on http://www.uitzendinggemist.nl/ (=broadcastmissed.nl):biggrin2: The direct link will be post when it's there.
