  1. I wonder how many hours he had to spend doing the ''oh,i'm a cute man who likes to plays with toys and stuffed animals'' to counterbalance this look...:roftl:

But,seriously now, somebody please close this thread!I just spent 10 minutes reading from where i had left this morning, just to find out there is nothing new...:aah:

Don't you see???:shocked:We are wasting our precious time AND energy in here while Mika is wandering out there with his real toyboy/barbiegirl(whatever suits him)...

Hehehe, threads like this hardly ever get closed. You can still find some really funny ones from 2/3 years ago. :naughty:

  2. I guess we will, yes..:biggrin2:

Only if we want to go for lunch or something we'll leave for a short time to find a McDonalds or something and get something from there.. :naughty:

Finding food won't take long. It's all right there on the square where we'll be Q-ing. ^^

Are we really going to queue at ridiculous o'clock? I think I'm just not even going to think about it and just do what Ingie & co want :aah:

Do you want me to drop my stuff (sleeping bag etc.) off at your place before crazy o'clock? :naughty:

I don't wanna be the only one who's not dressed up so I do something with playing cards too. :biggrin2: not very original but it's better then doing nothing.

There's quite a few people not dressing up. ^^

Great .. Not I'M gonna be the only one not dressed up :roftl:

    No you won't. :biggrin2:

We don't have one of those yet :thumb_yello::wink2:

    What about me then? :sneaky2::roftl:

  3. I haven't received my tickets either. :sneaky2:

    :aah:

I may have gotten mine today, but since they're being send to my parents house, I'm not sure. My mom called to say that there'd been a delivery from the UK that had to be signed for, but no one was home. I'm guessing it's the tickets (don't know what else it could be), but won't know for sure till Thursday, when my parents will have the time to pick it up at the post office. :aah:

I hope yours will come soon too!

  4. yeah, depends on the venue and the security guard you get. you can be lucky, but i prefer to take just a small bag. :original:

well, like i said, i'm taking the night train (to save me the hotel costs and because it was the cheapest option) - and no idea where else to go really except for the venue... wouldn't make sense to hang around the city for hours with my luggage, don't have a hotel... and guess i won't be the first one at the venue at 10:30, so the venue with my fellow mfcers is the best place to be! :wub2:

of course if i had the option to sleep in, i probably would. :naughty:

I agree, although I've never really had any trouble with bags/security guards.

That's a good point, dragging your luggage around Amsterdam might not be the best way to spend some time. :naughty:

  5. coat depends on the weather... and if we have an organized numbers/queuing system, and the parking lot isn't too far away, maybe i can leave some stuff in someone's car... but usually the way i do it at gigs is have a small handbag on my shoulder, for money, camera etc., and take an empty plastic bag in which i can stuff my coat etc. to put it between my feet at the gig. if it's not allowed to hang the jacket over the barrier (that depends on the venue...).

most important though: SMALL bag. i'd never bring a whole rucksack full of stuff, because it takes ages til the securities are finished checking that at the entrance. :wink2:

about the queuing time, i'll just come directly from the station to the venue (after i found me breakfast somewhere...), as i'm taking the night train to amsterdam, and leaving for luxemburg directly after the gig. no idea how long it takes to get to the venue, but guess i'll be there around 10:30. :dunno:

Actually I find that they usually don't check bags all that well. (At this venue I've actually had them ask me 'Can I look in your bag' while all they did was feel the outside of it, without even opening it. :dunno:)

    10.30?! :aah:

    Dude. That's early. :aah:

  6. Cool ... I've kind of cheated on my t-shirt now

Do you think this is ok ... I have to wait til I get paid tomorrow morning to pay for it ... but I'm not very arty ... I did try to do a complete card thing ... but it looked too busy ... and I like this design ... and the back thing I did :wub2:

    It looks awesome! :biggrin2:

  7. This is my first real gig ever. Yes, I have been to the Concertgebouwconcert last year (see sigpic), but never to such a thing as a gig in the Heineken Music Hall.

Therefor I have to ask these, possibly quit naive, questions:

    Do you guys wear coats?

Where do you put your stuff like money etc to keep it safe?

Do you have any other good advice for people such as me?

And: is there already made an appointement when and where we meet?

At what time do we start queueing?

I am really looking very much forward to it:mf_lustslow:

There's a cloakroom where you can leave your coat and your bag if necessary.

Personally, I always keep my bag with me.

(Although many times when I've put it down on the floor in the HMH, I picked it up to find it was covered in beer and other stuff. :aah:)

Bring earplugs. Your ears won't hurt/you won't hear that annoying beep afterwards + the sound quality actually improves, cause you won't hear all the feedback from the bass and stuff.

And if you don't want to spend a lot on drinks, bring cartons of fruit juice or something. (No bottles, they won't allow that, but personally I've never had any trouble bringing cartons.)

    Hope this is useful. ^^

(Oh, and I have no idea when we'll start queueing.)
