Besides the "mobbing" during the party, I don't think that this has been mentioned, and I won't say any names, but I found it pathetic that "some" who had had their time with Mika (and even got pics, etc) during the party, then decided to run to the exit door to catch him again when he was leaving the building.

I found that SOOO bad, no words to describe how I feel about it, really.

 

When is "enough" enough? Do people not have any sense?

 

It does seem a bit much when you look at every "mika entering the venue" "mika leaving the venue" "mika at the party" pic or video, and you see the same people there:thumbdown:.

I couldn't even believe it when I saw a video or something and he turned to ppl and said "Oh, you were at the afterparty..."

After the party I stood by the front of the venue saying good bye to all of you...I miss you ppl

I'm going too...no party for me???? *pouts*

If he goes I'm going...I mean, it's the closest I can go....I'll be there

Now to buy tickets where??? And a place to sleep

Why he should come to Portugal

- I live there

- He has lots of fans here that want to see him (LICM was platinum)

- The weather is great, sunny, warm....awesome

- Seen great names here like Robbie Williams, Bryan Adams, Scorpions...and they all come back saying we're one of the warmest adiences

- Our food is the best EVER

no, it didn't go this way. the backstage with the frenchies and others was one thing, this is another.

 

cause the two things collided time wise, the 10 persons backstage encounter did not happen, but they were two separate things.

 

and yes, there were 29 extra passes.

ehm.. NOT saying ANYTHING against olga or anyone with this, but I was there and I can tell ya the truth. the passes for the french people were ASKED by them, not given by mrs penniman for her own idea. mrs penniman promised she'd arrange smt for them which was very nice of her.

 

BUT the 28th thing is mika's idea, not his mum. and it included all fans who stood there for longer time queuing as well as mfc'ers and fans that followed mika round quite a bit.

 

what I wanna say is NOT taking off the praise of this from some fan, but to in fact direct it all to mika, cause it was his idea. and ya know I can be harsh at times with the man. have been in past, so I cannot be biased over this.

It started on Monday from Olga...not only french were going...I'm not French

Than Mika decided to evolve it to something else...it just didn't work that well

Ok, read a lot and I was there so now I wanna post my opinion

I've been a fan of Mika for over a year now, don't guide yourself by my joining dates...I simply dislike fanclubs 'cause there's always sh*tty things happening there

Anyways, I used to lurk arround here and when i found out about these gigs in London and the extra ticket thread I decided to join

The thing is, I had never gone to a gig....he never did come here so that was a bit impossible...RL and money do get in the way

So when the chance came to see him in London I did it...3 gigs in a row, queueing from really early hours and meeting lovely ppl

Of course I was over the roof to get a wristband...now, am I less deserving than some??? Yes, I don't doubt...but who does decided that??? I've been a fan for TOO long as well...and I loved every minute of it...seeing him grow

Just the fact it were my first gigs 'cause that's when I could attend some were enough reason to leave me out???

And when I saw everyone crowding Mika I was like "F*ck it, I'll just mingle with the others and talk to them instead."

Spoke with all, even Marcia, the big girl that did the cartwheel....

Then went to the bar to get some more drinks () when Mika came over and started talking to me...and after the present was giving from all the portuguese fans he asked if I wanted a pic...should I have said no???

I then left the group and only came back to be Sarah_mags photographer...glad I took that pic for you girl....we waited

Lol, I'm going to make sort of and Oscar speech or something loool

First off I wanna thank MIKA...for the music, the person, the love, the way he just is...I've been having a depression lately and what has been lifting me up is music (as always), and his is just special...and I just giggle and all when I hear something Mika related (aren't I patethic?).

Then I wanna thank his family, you are ALL lovely and thank you for keeping MIKA the way he is

Then I wanna thank the rest of the band...had a lovely time talking to all of you while waiting for ppl to stop crowding MIKA, and I loved you all...Luke, Martin, Cherisse, Mikey and Sarah...you are all top notch I love you guys

Thank you John for the patience, the grumbles, the hot chocolates, the meet and greets and the party...loving you too, you can't fool anyone...you're a teddy bear

Thanks to the rest of the crew, Andy, Bubbles (sp?) and all the other I don't know the names

And specially THANK YOU PPL FROM THE MFC...though I only met some of you I wanna thank Avoca and Allegra for the extra passes, Rose for being...well, Rose, Vicky, Robertina, Babs, Jemma (my heart was with you at the end), Vix...so so SO many names....I LOVE YOU ALL

So we arrived at the queue and I knew NOONE there...I was getting a bit scared....well, if that's the word

Saw many ppl, didn't actually meet them this night...The Black Queen recognized me though, from the fact i said I was Juju to someone, love you girl and my photo with Mikey on the 26th LOL....was looking forward to Tuesday to meet Wendy...and I couldn't believe I didn't saw Pink on Tuesday....moving on

Met Olga, a French-Portuguese girl that has been following Mika arround for as much or almost as much as the lovely Rose. She had a portcard from the portuguese fans since the cancelled gigs....would this be the day the d*mn thing was finally given to him???

Saw Cherisse going in, took a pic with her (need to contact Olga for these) and gave her a little something from me...you should have seen her eyes sparkle, I love her

I told her I came all the way from Portugal to see Mika and them and she smilled....lovely girl Cherisse is...

Then saw Luke, a pic with him as well, lovely boy...aren't they all lovely???

Then Sarah, she was SO nice

For those that weren't there, we were inside a sort of caged barrier by then and she actually jumped some of those to get closer to the queue...she triped and almost fell on her face

Luke laughed at her like there was no tomorrow

Then at 5pm....d*mn, did the queue just got a bit sort of like canned sardines???

Love singing, loved when babs arrived and we all cheared for her...Mika who??? We want babs

Some ppl went in before us, don't know too well, don't care...things won't ruin my good mood that day

BTW, Rose and Vicky made fun of me when I saw MIKA written all over the venue and did this sort of cheer...ehehe

7pm, doors open...run like the wind...or not....go

Ok, so now I think I have some time to do this....a BIG report...if you guys want it...But before that, thanks for all the photos and vids, lovely to see them and remember the gig, since my cam is crap and takes like 30m to take a pic

BTW, seems like the numbers were repeated this day, since both Caz and I were 53 and was there one hour at least before her...I arrived with the lovelies Rose and Vicky

And another thing, I may only been here on MFC for 2 months, but I've been a Mika fan for over a year now...I just have never been a fan club FAN before you know??? The only other fan club I belong to is the Queen Fan Club...But I used to lurk arround this place a bit and signed up for the ticket thread for these gigs

Anyway, PART 1

I couldn't sleep on Sunday night at all, this would be my first trip overseas on my own and my first Mika concert EVER since he never came here

I went to bed at 1am and at 5am I was already up to catch my plane at 7h50m....I live like 10m away from the airport and actually hear and see them passing my house...OK, too much detail moving on LOL

Just so you know I'm TERRIFIED of flying...I hate it with all my being, but for Mika...heck, I''ll do it =)

So when the plane was lifting you could see me mumbling something. No, I was not praying to God, but singing Grace Kelly to myself, you should have seen the looks I was getting

But the stupid plane was delayed 20m, more 20m to way to leave the damn thing...time was passing by and I wanted to queue

And to meet ppl I never saw in my hole life...I saw Vicky's myspace photo to see what she looked like, but I had no ideia I'd be sharing the room with the Penguin as well

Well, met the sweeties, left luggage in Cath and Abby's room...off to queue...

Then from their side since it was the last gig of the tour they decided to make it special for the fans...and went to 70 passes

Due to way they were giving them out, deserving ppl were left "behind" (like Rose) and about 70 more were handed....

There were too many of us there for a single man o.O

I actually decided to ignore him when he came inside the room when i saw ppl crowding him....I was like "F*ck it, I'll talk to the others instead"

But if the man asks you "Do you want a pic?" should I have said no???

Ok, still haven't read the hole thread...

xBillyBrownx - even if you queued early you couldn't have gone to the afterparty...you weren't 18...only +18 because of the drinking

The thing is...Olga, the french girl, has been to like 18 gigs or something and Mrs. Penniman already recognizes her...on Monday backstage for Thurday was brought up...On the 28th Mrs. Penniman called her and 10 backstage passes were going to be handed over to her...and I was going in with her since I was representing the portuguese

I was afraid of going though...ppl would probably mob me or something saying I didn't deserve it...Though I've only been here for 2 months, I LOVE Mika's music from the very beggining, but due to RL and money issues I don't have the chance of following arround...Olga did so much for me on the 3 gigs...the first of a long list I intend to do...

And not only the french group was going with her mind you...it just became bigger suddently, but if it wasn't for Olga talking about it on Monday it wouldn't have happenned...so bow to her now

I got given this oportunity and I don't want to feel bad just 'cause I had my first gig this week....my mind tends to block the bad things that happenned and focus on the good ones liek meeting all of you...I LOVE YOU PPL
