Indy and I just got tickets via Mikasounds Facebook presale! Indy had it sent to her school email (NOT gmail - didn't work for me!) and we ordered the tickets through the site. Thank the gods!

I am completely out of my element here, but it looks like the AMEX BLOCK of tickets were snapped up by scalpers -- because there is a site I was referred to where you can still purchase tickets for 70+ each.

 

All was automated; never spoke to a real person.

Yep - StubHub has tons of tickets for 60+. This is terrible!

I know someone else trying and they couldn't get tix either. It was either a very small quantity available or they haven't been released yet.

Hmm. How about the Facebook Mika Fan presale? I've signed up to receive the password twice and still nothing in the inbox ...

I'm really hoping I can get some tickets today because I might be on an airplane when the Friday ones are released .....

His manager told him on Wednesday he would come in October so hopefully it's in the works. Just wish they would announce the cities sooner rather than later.

I hope Mika's manager knows what's going on...he's going to be busy in the fall though! Luckily October is coming up so we won't have to wait long. And unluckily October is coming up because they need to ANNOUNCE already so we can PLAN and be READY come ON NOW

I think if you have a date somewhere in the future you have something to look forward to it makes all much easier even if there are months between.

Exactly -- if they could just get all the dates out already, then we'd have something to look forward to/plan for/obsess about!

Last summer in Portugal Mika promised he'd come back to the States this year (2012). I'm not giving up hope...but what a miracle it would be if one of Mika's promises came true!

I've listened to it about 20 times by now, and I can't say for sure yet.

Maybe if he performs it live in the morning it will be clearer.

I really am looking forward to hearing the live version. This one, and Makes You Happy, are both a little convoluted. Very catchy, but there's a lot going on and I'd rather have just Mika singing... without the machines.

So I am very interested in how this will sound without the voice effects...

I thought it was something like that, and Cherisse seems okay and excited! She'll do fine, she's a kick-ass drummer who'll always be in high demand.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new people, and if Mika is going to have a long career, like Madonna, he has to move forward and re-invent himself to some extent.

But judging by Underwater, he'll still be the super-vocally-talented, super-songwriter-guy we know and love.

Good point! I remember before the last album, when we got that terrible 30-second preview of WAG and I freaked out because I thought the new album was going to be weird and different and I didn't like it.

But we already have previews of at least 3 songs that are going on the new album, so unless a lot changes during post-production, I'm not going to worry too much about a DJ-set/LCD screen Mika show.

College orientation is right around here. Maybe I could come up early...hmmmm

I sometimes go to a partner Lindy Hop dance class on Tuesday nights. I hadn't been in a while, but I went this Tuesday and danced with a young man who looked JUST LIKE MIKA!

I was a little star struck, and things could have gotten out of hand had he not had a girlfriend ... however, I am determined to track him down or at least see his face one more time

Needless to say it was a good time!
