My question is.....there where 2versions of it, do you remember? The one aired on channel2 and the one aired on channel4, if I remember well....the last one disappered after a very short time and actually I think it was the best one: there were some cutted pieces, like a little bit of "Kiss" (by Prince) sang by Mika and another part before the "Killer Queen" cover...... Does anyone have it?

yeah i found the cali thread, it was very interesting...and yes this is getting very addicting but it's feels like a virtual family here so far

living in l.a. would be dangerous 4 me 2...i would love 2 see artists in so cal based venues on a regular basis...the farthest i'm traveling is 4 mr.mayer the cal mid-state fair...a nice compromise 4 distance & fair food i think

Just letting every1 know that I would be considered new here even though I have been reading the boards here 4 the past few weeks in stealth mode...

How I finally came across MIKA is a blurry memory...what I can remember is I must have first saw him on a late night show with the sound turned down but I have Closed-Captioning on my tv so the song was "Lollipop", was definitely a bit different from what I was used 2 seeing in a while. But it shouldn't have been since I have seen Prince do even more "different" things as one might say but in a all positive light.

He finally got 2 me @ the Brits Awards, since i had taped it 4 other artists, kinda of hard 2 miss the opening act but the songs were catching on in my head. Not to mention they were so darn uplifting in a time I was even becoming numb to Jack Johnson songs 4 positivity(still love the dude). So I would play the performance over and over and what finally got me rocking on the MIKA boat was my 7-month old little sister. She wouldn't really listen or watch closely 2 any1, only a bit of Prince and Elvis but MIKA, she loved him! Especially the Grace Kelly video (her fav vid)...she could be an "August Rush" baby but regardless anytime she hears any beat or melody from Grace Kelly and other MIKA songs her attention is redirected to the ear beautiful music notes and starts jamming away. Maybe when she gets a bit older, I'll take her 2 a MIKA concert! Wish I would have discovered him earlier so I could have went 2 the San Francisco concert but better late than never...I can wait.

That's how I find myself here on these boards, hope it wasn't 2 long...I could never condense my stories in school but what the hay...its MIKA literature.

There are many a time when I'm scrolling down when all of a sudden, "OMG, IT'S MIKA!"....then, I realize the title says "John Mayer blah blah BLAH"....I mean, they don't really look THAT similar, but at first glance (esp with the hair!). I ALSO gets confusing how Perez mentions John's girlfriend, who offcourse is named MINKA.

yeah even though eye can usually spot john mayer on tv, when MIKA was @ the grammys i thought from my side view i saw jm but realized he didn't have long hair anymore...only 1 time that has happened though:wink2:

as 4 his ex-gf...i thought the same thing Minka-Mika, just trying 2 relate the 2 guys any chance i get

and definitely Robby Benson...including what MIKA might be as an actor...

I have 2 agree with the Prince comparisons since I consider myself a connoisseur of the Prince culture...

I also see a bit of John Mayer with longer hair...
