*sun is shining again*

hello to the Family lately I was so tired and busy (=annoyed) that I couldn't be here long enough to follow up all the stories
hope we're O.K
me and my attitude
Hey MegPL! I'm glad that you decided to "drop in".
And yes, as far as I'm concerned we are O.K.
No worries
Hopefully one day I can get time to go to chat with you people and sort of introduce myself to you and learn about you.
Be !

aww i'm so sorry for you !! i'll try to post some pictures though so you guys can see what the gig will look like. Anyway Berlin is a beautiful city you'll enjoy it there for sure
Thanks cubitus
It's not a holiday trip, it's work. One day there and next day back (or same evening, I don't know. I haven't checked the tickets yet). Boring, actually.

I finally got my ticket my mom bought me the 75$ ticket she told me that i will be seated but i dunno i kind of prefer being up..more space to move but she told me that the place is HUGE and that if i wanted to see Mika properly i have to sit so i dunno what do you all think ?
Oooo, congratulations!!!
I am sure you have got the best seat, because moms always know how things are working
And you know, I truly envy you because I can't go. Today I learned that I have to be in Berlin on July 28 and it means I can't go to the concert. I 've always wanted to go to Berlin but never had a chance but now... So ridiculous!
Frankly speaking I was quite sure I would be able to go to Beirut, now I have to get used to the thought that it was just a beautiful illusion. *sigh*

are you speaking with me?
hello, nice to meet you
Hey, Allegra! Glad to meet you! How are you?
I read my previous post again and realised how I might sound. Please believe me I didn't want to be nosy I was in hurry when I posted it and didn't notice my mistake.
Allegra, dear, I don't care about airlines companies either (with one little exception - I care about MEA ) When I posted my message I wanted to share the good news that people had decided to go to Lebanon (and give people their job and income).
I can't explain how it happened but I've noticed that I had become quite a defensive to everything concerning Lebanon after the visit. I have been lucky to be to many countries and I have been to Middle East before, but Leb is truly something very different. For me it is alike .... I had visited my grandma's place
Hope I was not a bothersome, again.

Hey, how are you?
I see you are astonished at expensive flight tickets for Beirut. Don't you follow news?
http://yalibnan.com/site/archives/2008/06/resilient_beiru.php
I understand your disappointment (or dissatisfaction) but I'd rather prefer higher prices but people's growing interest to go for L. (I think these things are related) than empty cafes and restaurants of B. Empty cafes, shops, restaurants, hotels means no money or no employment
People's steady income is better for the country, too.

:roftl: You are funny. I adooore planes!
But ships are:thumbdown:
-
Wow lucky you and yes we want pictures !!! have a safe flight dear.
Hi Jimmy! How are you?
I second to you: Dana, we want pictures and stories. The good ones
And give a hug to your lovely country from me
-
Hi there babe! My day is boring as usual, how was yours?
Hehehehe, the DVD is really worth it, you're gonna love it (have the feeling you'll end up buying it )
Oh, I'm so to hear that your day was boring.
Maybe you need a rest?
You foresaw it right: I couldn't resist taking a glance at young Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Ravi Shankar (did you know that Norah Jones is RV's daughter?) and the gang
And sorry for the 1971-thing
I thought that to become a queen you can't be born later than in 1940-s
-
by the way what kind of music it is?
Hey, LebAngel and tnx a lot for your help
For me it's difficult to determine. Folk? It's from Fairuz. I heard her first when I was in Jordan and then I wanted to buy her music but they had only tapes to offer
In Beirut there was a loooong shelf with Fairuz' CDs and I picked up some CDs without knowing very well what am I exactly picking up. So, later I realised that I had chosen also one which was fully in Arabic although the sticker on the cover was in English (it says that some songs are on poems by Gibran ). It is a bit crazy if you don't have a lightest glue what a song is about
So your help was truly needed. Thank you for your post!

Hello, Happy Ending! And welcome!

Thank you!

Hi!
I've got a CD and its all over in Arabic except the short intro on the cover which is in English.
Fortunately all the titles of the songs are also written with Latin letters. I tried on my own with a help from internet but could translate only 2 of them
So can someone give me hand with the others, please?
Ya Nassima Douja
La Tass'alouni
Kad Ataka Ya'tazirou
Ya Aakidal Hajibayni
Rudani Ela Biladi
Assidat Loubnan
Almahaba
Many thanks in advance

Hi there! I'm sorry I didn't see this before. I'm glad you like it, I really think we have a lot in commun and would love to get to know you better.
Why did I asume it was the DVD you were talking about?Anyways, that concert is really a blast
Hallo, TheBlackQueen! How was your day? Thank you that you visited my thread, again .
Have you already heard the news that my intro bulla has already reached to im_stuck_in_the_middle's (what a tricky name to quote ) list of worth reading books and looks like I've got my own thread in MFC . Couldn't be better, mh?!
But on serious note: didn't you mention that you got DVD? But you said that you had seen the concert? Or.. were you saying that you were present at the concert in 1971?!! Really?!! Oh, if its true, I envy you. You know, sometimes it looks like all the best things had happened before I was born and this is one of those cases. But mostly I am very happy with the time I had chance to born into .
You know, I have been thinking about the DVD-thing the whole day and was going to look around in Amazon whether they have it. I will, anyway... can't help.
Take care!

I like your sense of humour
Hopefully you will amuse me soon again:wub2:
And don't try me, I can be very productive with pictures too
Take care!

Hey! This thread looks a bit lifeless. Where are you all cheerful Lebanese? Hope you haven't abandoned the thread
Any good news???? I think this thread badly needs positive posts to be balanced again

Hi Nerys! Welcome!
Couple of months is really nothing, believe me :roftl:
