  1. Good to hear! Can't wait to seehim myself... In 2 months!

Are you coming over here or is he playing in Montreal? (I'm asking cause my friend - a huge fan is from MTL)

  2. It´s totally normal that Mika moved on, he is grown up now and it is good. Do you really want this colourful teenager forever doing the same style of music and the same style of cloths for the rest of his life? Life is change and it is good because it would be boring if we all would stay at the same level. :wink2:

I so agree with you, Sabine.

Especially after today (I went to Lovebox). Yes, he's a bit different but the immense talent he has will always defend itself.

He's still a very young artist, he has the right to experiment. I'm sure he's never gonna lose the voice, wit and charisma and the ability to write melodious intriguing tracks. Those are the reasons I'm his fan. I'm really really excited about the new image and sound!

  3. It was short (only about 35-40 minutes) but AMAZING!

The first thing to be noticed was that the WHOLE band has been exchanged!

Then was Mika's new/straight and short hair :wink2:

They opened with Relax which had a completely different intro than usual and the audience only recognised it after the famous "uaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaaa":naughty:

Next were Blame It On The Girls and Love Today. The audience was having fun and the crowd was really dense (despite the fact that just before Mika went on stage there was a loose crowd dancing here and there and you could easily get a spot in the first or second row). It only became crowded minutes before the show.

Then it was time for Make You Happy which sounded unbelievable. Even the syntesier-generated voice sounded good, not to mention Mika's voice in the verses.

Lollipop came next and what a surprise it was!!! The beginning sounded almost like Stuck In The Middle (I was sure that was what we were going to hear next) and then the tune suddenly changed to Lollipop:thumb_yello:

The arrangement was different too and one of the guitarists played clarinet!

Mika introduced Celebrate afterwards as a song they'd never played live before. Till today it wasn't my favourite at all and I never saw it as a song with a live potential. He really surprised me! First of all he sang it as a duet with his new background singer. She has a great voice and established the contact with the audience soooo easily! It made me laugh when Mika caught her hands attempting to have a little dance together :wink2: Secondly, the song is so easily remembered that towards the end everyone around me was singing: "I want the whole world to celebrate!"

Unfortunately when we were all in party mood Mika announced the last song, Grace Kelly. There was no encore, no band introduction, he just wished everyone a great evening, they all took a bow and left the stage.

So, all in all, an afternoon full of surprises, new mysterious band members, new sound (which I definitely like) and Mika's vocals and stage expression at their best. :mikacool:

  4. If you know what's good for you, you will take a coat...and a scarf, and socks...:naughty:

RAINCOAT AND WELLIES! Well, wellies at least - even if it doesn't rain on the day, it's WET everywhere already

DO WE KNOW WHAT TIME MIKA'S ON STAGE? I DON'T THINK I'M GONNA QUEUE AT A FESTIVAL EVER AGAIN:naughty:

  5. WOW~~ It's amazing. It sounds like a dream come true.

I dream to take a Mika's autograph, a handshake, and a chat just like you....even better.. at his concert 20th Sep in Seoul.

It'll be happend in 1 month. It's my dream LOL LOL

    Good luck!!!:thumb_yello:

Congrats, Kasia, you really deserved it!

Wow, what an amazing story to tell your grandchildren! :naughty:

Oh yes... By the way: I've sent an email to my base manager, told everyone at the office, keep telling crew on flights, I guess EVERYONE KNOWS NOW:roftl:

  6. I couldn't resist to send this gif :naughty:

    imager.php?id=2955852&t=o

    :teehee:

Haahaaahaaa!!!! I should have thought about that:naughty:

I'm happy to hear from you too! :huglove: Haha, but Mika is shy actually! He told that in many interviews. It's only on stage that he's intimidating! And I guess in real life if he meets someone that is not completely starstruck by him, his true nature comes to show and he becomes his adorable shy-self. :wub2: That is an achievement to get Mika blushing :naughty: Yeah, he might be younger than you but he doesn't know that. And then still it's Mika, so....

Oh, all of them were just adorable! I could see they were happy to see me as the happiest girl in the world, which made me exhilarated even more:mf_lustslow:

I just read this on the fyeahmika.tumblr.com website and was so happy to see that it was linked from the MFC! :biggrin2:

That does sound like the most exciting day on the job ever and I don't blame you for being over the moon and in denial haha.

Being up in the air with him for 2 hours? I would have needed the biggest resolve to not just walk by him every 30 seconds to stare at him! :naughty:

How do we know that she didn't?:roftl:

Well, so you know the truth now... Yes, I WAS passing by whenever i could "just to take something VERY IMPORTANT from the back", to collect rubbish (i.e. make sure Mika hasn't thrown my note away), because of too many people queueing for the toilet at the front, to answer any passenger call bell BEHIND row 5, to make sure my colleagues at the back are fine, to pick something up off the floor, to close that overhead locker............:roftl:

  7. :biggrin2: Kasia, I'm so so happy for you! Dreams do come true, and this story is just like a movie scene - you'd never believe this could actually happen until it happens to you.... :wub2: It's a proof that everyone should keep on dreaming until they reach what they dream of! Ever since Compiegne I was thinking about you and our other Polish friends, how we had such a lovely day together and how it was so nice meeting you and the girls. I'm really thrilled and happy for you, you deserve it! :huglove: I also remember when you told me when you met him in Italy and you joked about something and he was so shy and everything.... It actually doesn't surprise me that you knew how to keep it cool, I'd expect you to behave this way :biggrin2: You're just lucky, girl, I guess now you must LOVE your job! And hope we meet again soon, maybe in Poland in 2012 if he happens to be wanting to do a gig there for his new tour! That'd be lovely!

Ohhhh, so great to hear from you!!! Yes, I can confirm he was still a bit shy even now. Or maybe he didn't want to intimidate me - I'm not sure anymore. Fact is when he was reading the note I had written, he was blushing the whole time. At the end of the day, he's the age of my younger brother (but...errrmmm.... he's still MIKA)

I'm sure he left his boarding card on purpose. He knew you'd never ask for it, cause you're too refined, so he just left it for you. Ahh, he's so thoughtful:wub2: :biggrin2:

Haha! I'd love to have asked for it - it just didn't dawn on me!:biggrin2: But he did his job anyway. And guess what - I'm keeping the passengers list too:wink2:

  8. Aww, you lucky girl! I'm SOO happy for you! when I read about it this morning (couldnt reply your message, cause my fb doesn't work properly:sneaky2:) I was crying and laughing at the same time. The pics are great:wub2:

Btw, how EXACTLY did he behave while checking seatbelts? :das:

Well, he did what he was supposed to do - turned the iPad off, closed tray table and had his seatbelt on. But Yasmine on the other side was still looking for something in her bag so I told her: "Just WHEN YOU'RE READY please put your bag under the seat in front of you". I could see Mika was looking and smiling, so when I turned to him, he raised both his arms so I could see clearly his seatbelt is on. Of course we both started laughing:naughty:

what a brilliant story! thank you for sharing it. i was having an annoying day but your story brought the biggest grin to my face!

omg you handled it sooo well. i prolly would :puke: in his apple juice or something! :roftl:

so i work at a library in Nebraska, do you reckon there's any hope Mika will come to my work? :teehee: *still entertains her fantasy*

The apple juice was luckily in a bottle and his Perrier in a can:wink2: Oh did I say that when they left I went straight to their row to check if they haven't left anything? (and especially if he had taken my note with him - he did:wub2:) I found their boarding cards in the seatpockets and of course I'm keeping them (as well as the passengers list)

True and I like you and you can teach me more Polish than my swear vocabulary:mf_rosetinted:

You see, I can be of use to you:wink2:

  9. Please excuse me whilst I do a happy dance!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am absolutly over the moon that this has happened! I can just imagine how you have dreamed of it but never believed it would actually happen. Even if you had realised that he had been in Sardinia you might have just had an inkling but as it was you didn't even know! I really am truely delighted for you. In 2009 you didn't even know me but on reading that I was struggling to get to London for the Bloomsbury gig you PMed me and let me use your personal staff discount to get an affordable flight. And then you got me the wristband for the gig as I wouldn't be there in time. That was so kind :huglove: So I am deliriously happy that someone who could be so kind and generous to someone she had never met has had such a brilliant experience.

I am truly delighted for you . :huglove::yay:

Oh Kath! My absolute pleasure back then! Well, actually I've been busy with other things recently and had no idea Mika had been playing in Sardinia the night before:blush-anim-cl:

Thank you so much for your kindest words!

Omg, I just noticed this thread!!!! Loved you story Kasia, thank you so much for sharing, so happy for you!! :wub2:

This story made me smile so much, just thinking of you checking his seat belt, serving snacks and your colleagues trying to stay out of your way... :roftl:

One of the funnies and cutest Mika stories ever, and awesome pics! :wub2:

This is the most unbelievable thing that has ever happened to me! And giving them the drinks and snacks and how they were looking at me the whole time seeing this actually DID make my day/week/month/year was so lovely! I'm wondering if I should wear my uniform to the next gig so that he spots me:naughty:

  10. I've seen Mika out and about a couple of times too but I think this story wins hands down because Kasia wasn't even going to a gig, she was at work. What a wild coincidence. And he was so lovely with you Kassia, it's so nice to hear.

Again (and again and again) - I was a bit shy to go and give him the note at first, thinking he might be tired or just not want to talk to anyone but NO NO NO! He was incredible! And HE started chatting to me first!!!

that's cute! who took the pictures? a colleague?

Pics were taken by a guy sitting next to Yasmine (they were all in row 5 - Mika and Mama on one side, Yasmine and the guy on the other - I think he might have been her boyfriend but of course that's none of my business:wink2:)

How Mika behaved with his mother and sister?

Were they sitting together? Were they talking to each other?

Thanks for everything,:wub2: the photos are special to you and for us, it shown as a boy close.:wub2:

    He has a sleepy face!:teehee:

    Sorry, my english is horrible!

Mika was talking to Mama a little before he started watching the film. Of course he was carrying all her bags. Good boy.

That's SO COOL Kasia! I still have a stupid smile on my face even after reading all these comments! Congratulations on handling it so well, I'd never be able to do that - anyway, I bet Mika would never need a lawyer services around here... :mf_rosetinted: It's great to know that he was lovely to you.

This situation was like Mika paying for you to have your own M&G! :aah: Awesome!

And BTW... Mama P. must be a funny person.

Do we have any MFCer that works as a diving instructor? :naughty:

Mama Mika is lovely and after I handed Mika the note and they both read it she never stopped looking at me and smiling:wub2:I knew that even if he doesn't want to talk or anything, I could at least have a chat with her. Well, of course after a while I went there with the service trolley and he started chatting himself and so on.....:blush-anim-cl:

I am saving money to buy a boat so he can hire it and I shall naturally be the captain.:mf_rosetinted:

And me the crew - you know I'm experienced. AND I'm your fan too:wink2:

you are such a lucky girl! congrats!!!!!

    I´m so happy for you!!!

    That is truly a miracle!!!

Maybe I should do something similar after school:mf_rosetinted:

That story made my day and put a huge smile on my face.

I love those pics and just...wow...how you behaved is...wow!!!!

I wouldn`t be able to think I guess and you handled everything so well!

I wasn't albe to think for the first 15 minutes. I had no idea how I let all other 145 passengers on board... Funny thing is that a ground staff member came to me and said I'd need to call out a few passengers names as they weren't sure everyone was on board. I only thought: God, please don't let this be Penniman. If I have to call a passenger by that name I will certainly pass out...

The thought of the message only dawned on me after we took off.

  11. Miracles happen at the moment we don`t expect them. Now I`m sure.

    I'm 100000% sure of that!!!

Awww Kassia, I was smiling all the way through reading your story. You deserve it!

Did you manage to do your job still without ignoring the other passengers? :naughty:

This is just awesome! I will definately fly Easyjet from now on haha!

Well, only because Mika was sitting by the window and watching the film (I wish I had asked what he was watching) I did manage to go on with the job... But still I had to pass by "to get something important from the back" at least 5 times:naughty:

    LOL

    Other passenger: "Please...Can I have..."

Kasia *slaps passenger* "So, Mika...you were saying...?" :mf_lustslow:

    :roftl::roftl::roftl:

I think if Mika is in a plane and the flight attendants are fans, all passengers should bring their own survival kit :naughty:

    *emergency landing*

"EVERYBODY MOOOOOVE! POPSTAR TO BE SAVED! MOOOVE, I DON'T CARE THAT YOU ARE CRIPPLE AND 8 YEARS OLD. YOU CAN'T SING!"

I don't want to even imagine this. But... I'm sure I'd go there and give row 5 a special briefing first. Or hold his hand or something....:naughty:

  12. :mf_lustslow::mf_lustslow::mf_lustslow:

fantastic story! :wub2: I'm so happy for you, thank you for sharing it! :biggrin2:

How fantastic is that?? I love it. :roftl:

Did you know that he wasn't on holiday? He had a gig there last night.

I don't think I would be nervous in this situation but I sure wouldn't be able to concentrate on my job. :aah:

Well done. Sounds like everything went perfectly! What a great story.

Oops, hadn't realised he had a gig there yesterday! Thanks for that!
