Wasn't PUOTF BEAUTIFUL?!?!?!
Did you hear us screaming when Mika done his diva moment?
No one is appreciating the applause he got after the song Well deserved! I'm passing out again!
-
OMG!!! I hope someone will put it on yt quickly (I don't have a recorder). I really have no words... I loved Dan on the cello and Mika, Mika, Mika was just INCREDIBLE!!! I loved the cloes up of his face during most of the song.
-
I don't think she really played that harmonica...
I think she did. It's not that difficult - I still remember from school:wink2:
I wish Mika had had to do PUOTF twice:mf_lustslow:
He's definitely on after this one!!!
-
Oh, he's at the grand piano already, which is a good sign
-
Well all I am watching for is PUOTF, seen the others on YT

And so are The Cribs. I hate people shouting to the microphone. Grrr....
I really hope it comes across on screen as well as it it did live...goosebumps all overI had to be almost picked up off the floor after his performance!
the one on now makes meOh yes she does!

Nice Mika takes during the Cribs song
-
My computer puts new albums in iTunes and it searched on line for the titles. This came up as We Are Golden (Acoustic version) so I nearly fell off my chair when it was this.
It also happened to me!!!!!!

You know you're a Mika fan when you walk down the street and enter every music store just to check if TBWKTM is displayed well - if it isn't, you rearrange it on the shelves yourself (much to other customers' dismay)
-
Just say "hi" and be nice, he's good with people .
By the way, this may sound random, but os this programme about brains or something?
Oh, I remember Mika mentioned something about brains after Jools. Maybe it's the Moment of Truth:naughty:
-
It has been wonderful!
I want more!
Yes, September is definitely a month to remember!!!!!!!!!!!!
Has anyone mentioned Daz and Shakira? It was all so funny watcing his excitement when he managed to take a phot with her. The funny thing is that we had just finished talking to Mika when Shakira appeared and Daz almost missed her!!!
Lovely night! Can't wait to watch it all tomorrow on TV!!! And Pick Up Off The Floor sounded as good as anyone can imagine!!! Shakira had some sound problems during a song about Gypsy so she had to sing it twice. I wish it had happened during PUOTF so we could have heard it again:teehee: Well, anyway... not much longer to see it on TV!!!
-
Ian McKellen again!!! And THE trousers and THE jacket!!! T4P
-
Really?
Wow! This song must be amazing live!
Hey guys, I was there too:mf_lustslow: Yes, Pick Up Off The Floor is AMAZING LIVE and Mika sang it playing a grand piano:wub2: Jools said all tracks sung tonight will be on Friday's version. Listening to PUOTF live was just

Now my next question is can I ever listen to that again somewhere?
-
He totally Mikafied Gaga!!!
Ok now seriously, he is a genius!
I didn't recognize the song until the chorus! GENIUS!!! FANTASTIC!!!! INCREDIBLE!!!
Oh, someone just sent in an email saying Mika is the greatest pop star in modern times. How sweet and I can't not agree!!!
-
Oh it sounds absolutely beautiful! That piano at the beginning!
-
Mika, I can set up the temperature in a restaurant for you.
-
Mika as a new Sugababes member? What is she talking about? I'd like him to sing Poker Face, though...
-
riiightIt's brilliant everyone loves him so much. See Mika? You CAN make friends! -
I'm thinking Amsterdam, Madrid, Paris.... I got a headache... Will wait until Wednesday. Hope UK is definitely February!
-
Oh wow! T4P! Now that has really made me think a lot in a different way about him again! What a complex personality! I'm loving it!
-
great reply Christine:thumb_yello:!
I agree that any song with a falsetto Mika can't replicate too well live. But I have to disagree in the sense that I do believe some songs are just better live. I find that the 'raw passion' is sometimes missing in studio versions.
Oh, I wouldn't agree with the first sentence. When I first heard Mika live I was stunned! He did all the falsetto parts brilliantly! Listen to his intro to Love Today and the whole song, actually. Or Relax. He's an amazing singer!
That's what I think too. All three versions are so wonderful in their own way. I love acoustic versions so much. Just Mika and piano, and like you said, maybe Martin. It must be the most beautiful thing in the worldBut full band live gigs are filled with so much energy it's like a drug to me. Actually I don't joke His way of singing, dancing, moving and taking a contact to the audience gives me so much adrenaline that I want to feel it again and again.
And every time I want to feel cheerful and happy I listen to his albums and studio versions. His new album with all Pet Shop Boys and George Michael feelings makes me smile! I can hear also lots of falsetto, it's my favorite part
I back up what you've written Tiibet. It is like a drug:roftl: and every time I'm amazed how great he sings despite all the jumping and dancing. It doesn't mean I ever want him to stop moving on stage the way he does - it gives his shows that extra sparkle of energy.
I am also enchanted by what he can do it with a song. Transform it, like e.g. Relax, from a powerful studio hit to a an amazingly energizing live full band shocker to a piano-guitar only accoustic version. I love the way he plays with songs 'cause even when you know the playlist before a gig, you are never sure what the song will sound like.

This is exactly what I needed after Monday - another Mika event and I am soooo going! Wooohoo!!! The venue looks amazing too! Can't wait to see you all again!
BIOTG video and Jools Holland
in Before the Show

Oh no! Just realised Shakira sang 4 songs during the whole show plus an interview. This isn't fair, Mr. Holland!
