I really have no clue if it's actually Mika that put into place the age restriction. I mean, is he really going to try that hard to get rid of the "child artist" stereotype? Something's going on, I just wish I knew what it was!

 

Like I said, there's a lot of reasons to be angry about this. I try not to get angry when there's nothing you can do, but honestly. Why would you only schedule one gig in the United States, and then cut so many fans out of the deal? You would think that he could schedule at least more than just one that's 18+.

 

And also, all this confusion has really pissed me off. It's one thing to know that you can't go. But it's entirely another to see that maybe there's a possibility, only to be crushed again when you realize it's just a communication error.

But that's the way life is. Bring on September please!

Looks like whatever we print from the website, it's still going to be +18 only.

If it's true, you have to bring a legal guardian, not just anyone.

 

 

 

If it's possible for minors to go with +18 legal gaurdians I'd ask my mom, she likes Mika.

it says on the website over 18 or under accompanied by an adult....

I saw that there too but I don't wanna go all the way from Miami to not be let in. I want it to be said on MikaSounds in writing so I can print it.

yeah, I don't understand either and I think if mika just gave a little more info about why he chose the venue and his thoughts about it, I think I would feel a bit better... + less confused

When I have a girl I want to name her Micaela. Nothing to do with it almost being Mika's name or being my 2nd name but I just like it.

and did i mention? The andrew bird gig and Mika gig are all within 5 days of eachother, both in nyc. I just want to go wait outside the door afterwards and try to meet mika perhaps...and my dad goes...

And im a little upset with the brulesque opening act.

 

I mean, Ive waited so long for a gig to be all ages, and if i finally get to one i dont wnt some woman taking her clothes off infront of me and my mom (who WILL be with me) I mean thats just awkward for the two of us, and i dont see why it went on at LA (which was an all ages gig)

 

I mean i saw those little grisl in the front of the icecream truck pictures with their bracelets all ready to go, and i kept thinking....wow, those poor things had to see that?

Why say THATS an all ages gig? I mean...he PRE-announced it as all ages, and that opening act is just not right for the younger crowd to see.

That too, I hope he doesn't do that in more gigs cuz it's not something I'm looking forward to for my first Mika gig. And you're right, it probably was akward for people that went with their parents or with their younger/older siblings. When I showed my sister the vlog of the LA gig it was awkward in that part.

I think it's actually up to the venue and nothing to do with Mika...

I thought someone said in another thread that the artist got to choose.

But wasn't the venue he played in LA usually +18?

I really don't understand why Mika is making it a +18 show, and if it's because of the opening act then why can't he just stop doing the burlesque act? He would also sell more tickets.

If the NY gig were for all ages I would have had the oportunity to go, even if I live in Florida. But I feel really bad for those people who are under 18 and could have gone to this gig. I just want Mika to explain why it's an over 18 gig.
