  1. I agree with that. Some people will be shocked and others will be ok.

    I saw the pictures, I love animals but it doesn't shock me. :dunno: I have two dogs, a horse and I'm studying to be a veterinary technician (a "nurse" for animals) so I'm sincere when I say I love them. The lamb is dead and yes they'll eat it. It's meat and people are eating meat alllll over the world. :thumb_yello:

    A lot of my friends would probably shocked too so I understand. :wink2:

    Great! My admiration for animal care they need, this week I heard a sad news, the black rhinos went extinct, it is sad to think of any kind of extinction.

    Good luck in studies :thumb_yello:

    It was difficult for me too, I was obsessed with eating meat lol maybe it's in my middle eastern blood I don't know, but I think my parents fed me too much meat so I finally had enough :aah:But there are loads of food alternatives out there, very healthy and full of protein too, besides just vegetables. So I think when people tell me: 'What do you eat then: Carrots?' I find it narrow minded since there is so much delicious meat alternatives for me to eat. :) But I completely understand that it's difficult to stop eating meat alltogether, it was for me too.

    I see a side benefit for the photo and discussion about eating meat, and I think there is pretty interesting alternative, healthy, how we can think differently our food, our body suffers in many ways, morbid obesity, bowel problems, often related to an unhealthy diet, but in other way also the products obtained for proper nutrition are absurdly expensive :aah: at least in my country, but that's a very topic longer.

    Good to know that you could get a healthy diet and I hope to reach that level

    :thumb_yello:

  2. Yeah and during some weddings in Iran, they butcher an animal while it's still alive, as tradition. :( But persian people I've talked to here in Sweden think that's disgusting and are ashamed of their treatment of animals in Iran. I once saw a video of a wedding where this happened and the blood poured on the ground next to the bride and the groom, leaving blood splatter on the bottom of her white wedding dress. I was like WTF?? The bizarre thing was that before that they were kissing birds and holding them.

    Really bizarre, is seen as a cultural asset and is part of the human race to kill animals for survival since the world began, we are part of this cycle of life, among animals is no different and sometimes more violent, isn't it?!

    We can think about reducing meat consumption, become a vegetarian, think about how the kind killing can be more merciful to the animal, but that's all, maybe we will walk to a feeding without sacrifice, one day, who knows :wink2:

    By now which is very difficult for many reasons, not myself I can not only eat vegetables.

  3. I feel all shooken up after seeing those tweets. I love animals with all of my heart (being a vegan) and it pains me to know that they are being abused for mankind's needs. Food, clothes, cosmetics. If you've (dared) to see the movie 'Earthlings' you'll know what I mean. I don't go around lecturing people though because we're all free to make our own choices in life and nobody has the right to tell us what to do and nobody's perfect. And maybe Mika realized how disgusting it was since he saw Mel next to the photo and hopefully he will understand that all animals have feelings (no matter what anyone says). Meat in stores gives me similar reactions as the photo he posted though, although it made me think of how I stopped eating animals in the first place: I was next visiting my family in Iran when I was twelve years old, petted a goat and the minute they chopped his head off right in front of my eyes...

    :shocked: what a horror thing, poor child in this time :tears:

    I think it should be shocking that sense, but depending on the culture of some countries, people, this is understandable.

  4. It's no different to what you would see in a butchers, so i don't see what the fuss was about to be honest.

    You're right, Rose, but I'm not vegetarian and I avoid butchers :doh: that part I leave to my brother :naughty: I know it sounds strange to say it but I try to eat as little meat as possible, anyway I found that picture very unpleasant.

  5. Yes, I was skeptical at the outset, but I have to say I really thought the concept worked. The arrangement of Relax was just perfect -- the strings and rhythm gave it that exotic, Middle Eastern feel perfectly. I really really like what they did with it. And of course it's always nice to see Mika interviewed and hear him sing -- that slower version of Stardust that he's been performing live is one of my very favorite songs of his, ever... even better than the album version. :wub2:

    And how nice of them to have everything online so promptly! Talk about organized! Love that! :thumb_yello:

    Loved it too :group_hug:

    I appreciate Arab music is so melodious, great fusion of Relax and Stardust is :swoon:

  6. this is my favorite Mika video.

    Yes i prefer Priscilla singing it, but it's still very entertaining.

    You can definitely tell this video had a proper budget compared to other Mika videos.

    He has a mischievous face throughout the video :naughty:

    I find Ariana & Mika look alike :teehee:

    Like brothers?! me too :teehee:

    yep yep really mischievoussss face :mikadas:

    :clap::clap: :clap:

    :lmfao: :lmfao::lmfao:

    Also, first thread in this forum where everyone agrees on something!!!!! :bow:

    :hi5::yay:

    and I LOVED the video too :thumb_yello:

  7. Oi Wes ,saudade

    O babado tá rolando no fórum "News and Press" vê lá ....

    Não sei pra que TANTA discussão mesmo depois de agora já ter sido confirmado que ele aceitou ser juiz do X-Factor, eu sei que todo mundo tem direito a discutir sobre isso, claro, mas (acho que) extender essa conversa já tá ficando chato. Não sei quais serão os benefícios ou se vão ter, mas não quer dizer que não tenha nenhum né??? E por mim, ele pode continuar envolvido com marca de óculos, perfume, sapatos, single pra marca de cerveja, o que for desde que ele não se esqueça de fazer aqueles shows lindos e maravilhosos num lugar chamado América Latina (APROPRIADAMENTE) :mikacool:

    Ah, e muito bom ver a nossa casinha ativa de novo :group_hug::huglove:

    POIS NUM É??? :aah:

    Ok, acabo de ver um benefício nisso :groupwave::group_hug:

    :thumb_yello::huglove:

    A quote do Wes não apareceu de novo :teehee:

    Não apareci aqui antes porque o Sr Müller :shun: fez bullying com minha pessoa :aah::mf_rosetinted:

    Ah e só pra relembrar, eu sinto falta de algumas 'pessoinhas' que sumiram daqui faz tempão né Cibele, Lucy, Fran, Stella .... :fisch:

    :group_hug::huglove:

  8. Mika is a multitalented artist.

    I believe that it's the uneasiness that moves him.

    And makes us crazy :pbjt::pbjt:

    The opinions and feelings that I read here, so different, respect of his participation in the X Factor shows how Mika is loved.

    The conclusion is that Mika is a lucky man, has a fanclub that cares about him, and even sometimes disagreeing with him any choice, is always here to support him and to see him happy.:clap::clap:

    *

    I'm very proud to be here with you, see this debate and be a Mikafan [/color]ana"]

    Hugs everybody =)))

    Yeah! Exactly Mara, great :thumb_yello:

    Deb Perfect! your text well well ... marry me too :naughty: Well said :wub2::thumb_yello:

    Hugs beloved fellows :huglove:

  9. Yes if you are happy doing that, of course.

    I waited around when many others were leaving over the past couple of years. As I said earlier we all have our own expectations and limits.

    People are free to do whatever they want.

    Chris :thumb_yello: I respect everyone's opinion here, I personally do not push anyone to do this or that, who does not want to wait and watch not wait, whoever wants to do it, do it! Simple as that :wink2:

    Just to joke: How hard is being a fan sometimes :teehee:

  10. This insistence that we have to wait and see is ridiculous. I've been waiting longer than most of you have been fans, certainly longer than you've been members. I am not investing another 3 or 4 years in my time effort and money in the hope of a new album or tour. If you want to do that or if in fact you enjoy all the things that Mika will do in the meantime that is great for you. It's not for me. I've kept the faith for long enough and I really enjoyed the album and really enjoyed the tour. But that's over now and there's every indication he is not going to do that again any time in the foreseeable future.

    I saw a snarky comment on Twitter last night about people being upset about Mika doing something they don't like for 3 months but this is utter nonsense. It's clear that Mika's time is booked up for the rest of the year with festivals and this TV show. Am I thrilled he hasn't gone into hiding? No. First of all this show has nothing to do with me. I can't watch it and I don't want to. Secondly it just means his hiding period has been put off for months. He's not going to come back in January 2014 with a new English album and tour. That is wild fantasy.

    Could I be wrong about that? Maybe but I am going to err on the side of sanity. If Mika comes back sooner than expected I'll rejoice along with everyone else. If he doesn't I will save myself years of disappointment and wasted efforts. It's a win win IMO.

    I honestly wish Mika every success and happiness in the world. I love him on a personal level and if he needs to move to Tibet and live in a monastary for the rest of his life so be it. He owes me nothing.

    But by the same token I don't owe him a lifetime of blind support. I am simply not happy spending so much time supporting someone whose career and principles have gone so far off the track he started on. And anyone who puts the happiness of a popstar over their own is out of their minds

    I am also unhappy with the X factor thing but I understand and would rather wait, this is no ridiculous :mf_rosetinted:

    I think we could be respected for that, too, isn't it?!

    I understand his reasons, though hard, not everyone has the same opinion :wink2:

  11. Hahaha! Yes, you are right! There's no need to get mad! Mika still Mika! Maybe he changed a little but people change! I don't think that he's making something wrong.

    Sorry for my English! You can correct. Actually, i'll be happy if you do it. I am trying to learn. I'm from Brazil.

    :naughty:Miquette :thumb_yello: I got lost in conversation and did not get your quote, sorry! :doh: finally, you're right, we should not worry :wink2:

    Natalia well said! :thumb_yello:

    :huglove:

  14. Even if it was on Youtube, I wouldn't be able to sit through an entire Italian show to hear Mika say a few sentence that I won't understand :naughty:

    And it's not like we'll hear him sing or his creativity, we'll hear him speak/judge other people's talent.

    And please, my Italian friends, it's not because it's in Italy... It's because it makes no sense to me. I wouldn't want him to judge in my own country. I really don't like the show :teehee:

    It's too bad that instead of continuing his "Intimate gigs" in all of Europe, he chooses to sit in a chair and judge others... you'll never know what you are missing :no:

    South America miss him :tears:

    I'm not jealous of Italy neither Italian fans :huglove:

    I just want him to do his tour here and preferably this year :aah:

    MIKA's music is all :mikalove:
