  1. Yeah, I want to know this as well. Am going to aim for early afternoon, but am not sure.
  2. I lined up for the Roxy gig at around 3 pm, and I was like the 30-40th person in line. Were you at the beginning of the line? Did you get into the front row? I got into the 2nd row. Am going to try to be there in the early afternoon, but not sure exactly when. And does anyone know which entrance is the right one?
  3. Yeah, I want to know when everyone's going to start lining up. Want to know when I should head out there as well. And do we know which entrance we're going to be lining up in front of? I was scrolling through the other pages of the thread and I guess there are 2 entrances, a front and side entrance. Anyone know which one's the right one?
  4. 3 MORE DAYS!!!! WOOHOO!!!!! :biggrin2::biggrin2: Have we decided on an official dress code yet? If so, can you guys let me in on what it's going to be? It's almost Friday. It's almost Friday. It's almost Friday. It's almost Friday. It's almost Friday. It's almost Friday. It's almost Friday. It's almost Friday. IT'S ALMOST FRIDAY!!!!
  5. Does anyone know how long before each gig they deliver the special posters/VIP passes/etc to the lucky winners for each show? I think some who won for the gigs in Canada and Boston got theirs a few days before their gigs, but am not sure how long before. Anyone know? It'd be really exciting if some of us MFCers win for the LA gig.
  6. Oooo, glow-in-the-dark does sound very outer-spacey! Goes well with the theme! Great idea. I think it would be reasonable for him to play Good Gone Girl. Ya, I totally agree with the California references! I hope he does. ONE MORE WEEK! 7 days. 13 hours. 39 minutes. 45 seconds. WOOOO!!!
  7. I agree. This week is going to last forever! But it's all going to be worth it! I wasn't able to go to the Wiltern gig, but I heard it was a fantastic gig! The gig at the Roxy was acoustic and in a smaller setting, so it was a bit of a change. So this is gonna be my 1st gig with all the props, stage design, lights, etc. It's going to be amazing!!! :biggrin2: Only 8 days, 2 hours, 34 minutes until doors open!!! WOO!!! Do you guys have any idea when you'll be lining up? Am going to get there in the early afternoon, but am not sure of the time yet.
  8. Same for me! I remember when we had about 50 days left...Now only 8 days left!!! WOOHOO! I went to his Roxy gig back in April! Amazing 1st Mika concert! Cannot wait!
  9. Only 9 more days! So much anticipation! Let the countdown begin!!!! :roftl: WOOHOO!!! Hope to see some of you there as to I've never met any of the MFCers at any of Mika's concerts. This'll be my 2nd gig.
  10. Cannot wait! 10 days. 1 hour. 43 mins. 5 seconds to be exact! Ha!
  11. Am so excited for this gig! Sorry I didn't post anything in this thread before. Haven't met any MFCers at Mika's gigs before. It's going to be my 2nd Mika concert! WOOHOO! I had a quick question: What time do you guys think you'll be lining up in front of the venue? I called Live Nation and they said it was a standing venue and there's no reserved seating. They said the seat and row #'s on the actual ticket were just for them to keep track of how many tickets they have sold and that they have nothing to do with reserved seating. I waited in line at the Roxy back in April for about 4 hours before doors opened. When are you guys going to start lining up in front of the Palladium? Hope to see some of you at the show! :biggrin2:
  12. Spin's Music Editor Charles Aaron has named Mika's 'The Boy Who Knew Too Much' one of the "Fall Albums That Matter Most". 21 Fall Albums That Matter Most Review by SPIN Magazine MIKA THE BOY WHO KNEW TOO MUCH (Casablanca/Universal) Release Date: September 21 The Skinny: Though he sometimes seemed in danger of amusing himself to death on 2007's Life in Cartoon Motion (which sold five million copies worldwide), Mika Penniman's Technicolor cabaret pop earns its glee-club frolicking on this more fully realized follow-up. First single "We Are Golden" is a celebratory romp, but the undeniable, bleacher-stomping choruses don't stop there. Then the I-wish-I-was-Elton-John-so-bad-I'm-gonna-pee-my-hot-pants ballads finish you off. Fast Fact: "We Are Golden" features the Andrae Crouch Gospel Choir, who refused to sing the line "Don't give it up when you're young and you want some." Here's the link to the article: http://www.spin.com/gallery/21-fall-albums-matter-most?page=3#main The page also posted Blame It On The Girls.
  13. I can't find this widget anywhere. It looks so cool. Anyone know where I can find it?
  14. Wait! Is it over? Now it's world news and Alan Carr just ended. Is he not playing Am confused!
  15. "It didn't work for me on Winamp, but it worked on Windows Media Player." I see. I'll try downloading it on my PC where I have Windows Media Player. Thanks for the help!
  16. I'm not able to download the megaupload videos on my Mac. I waited 40 minutes for Part 1 to download, only to fine out at the end that it can't be played on my computer because it's not a movie file. Are there any other links that aren't only an mp3, but a video link? I'm hearing so much about how amazing the tv special was and I can't view it in the US. Want to see it soon! If anyone has a video link they think will work on my computer please let me know!
  17. Here's the link to all the tour dates in North America!!!!!! http://www.sentimentalistmag.com/2009/08/24/mika-announces-north-american-fall-tour/
  18. I looked at the subscription page for the magazine online and almost all of the countries in the world are listed as being able to subscribe to the magazine online. But don't know if they have the magazine available on actual newsstands there. Hope this helps. Here's the link to subscribe to the magazine: https://www.cambeywest.com/pap/papnew.asp
  19. Christine: "Do we know when this is hitting the stands?" The issue launches on September 8th
  20. Here Mika is on one of the five different covers of PAPER Magazine's 25th Anniversary Issue! They decided to celebrate by placing a bunch of 25-year-old celebrities on the cover. (even though he's 26 now) Here he poses alongside Kid Cudi (he tweeted about this shoot a while ago). You can check it out on the front page of http://www.cocoperez.com for some time. Hope the picture I post works. This is my first thread. Here's what Mr. Perez Hilton had to say: In honor of their 25th anniversary, PAPER Magazine did five different covers, each with five fun and relevant 25-year-olds, including Alexa Chung, Greta Gerwig, Kelly Osbourne, Kid Cudi, Lydia Hearst, Melonie Diaz, Mika, Patrick Wolf, Zoe Kazan, and many more. A few losers in the mix but mainly winners! The PAPER Magazine 25th Anniversary Issue launches September 8th and the pub will be having a star-studded party that night in NYC. Hope you can view the cover here: http://i.cocoperez.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/bcovers__oPt.jpg
