  1. I loved the interview :wub2: all understand perfectly, part of piracy was very well placed for him, etc.

but I have a small and silly question, can someone explain to me what he meant here:

" ... on even my relationship growing up in a Roman Catholic household"

I know his family's religion is the Roman Catholic of Lebanon, but I do have something else I do not understand this part, English is not my native language and maybe I have missed something here or no? :dunno:

I think it mean that his family is practicing Catholic and he suggests may be that it is not normally a very open environment of mind especially about sexuality.

Sexuality is a taboo for many people practicing a religion but seriously Mika has a lot of contradictions he wrote Lollipop for his little sister

  2. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a386353/mika-unveils-new-song-make-you-happy-video.html

just giving the news, fifty-fifty comments (and one rubbish, as usual )

the gay community is quite upset.

I think it's difficult to send a new song to a gay community web site while this song and the video that accompanies it is a banality to be scary.

That pleases everyone, gay or not, big girls, skiny girls, boys, normal people, mad people..., in that Mika done musically it is his colorful and original turn, the fact he put in song sad lyrics but on a joyful music. Here everything is gray, almost depressing.

I do not like gender studies as I did years of art history studies, what I learned is that we can't confine an artist of any kind in a box and label him. I think it's having a lot of prejudices to put a label on an artist. Mika is Mika but in this song and this video he is not found.

  3. Not what I expected. I thought maybe some nice , gentle piano pieces not a techno mess! :( I adore 'rain', 'love today' and 'big girl' etc. ( electronic) but also toy boy, sitm, ggg , happy ending etc. which are done on real instruments.

I must admit 'make you happy' is not exactly my cup of tea and it seems to be heading towards the disaster that pop music is at the moment. Potentially good song but the electronic sound makes me sad. It's like mika hiding behind loads of synthesisers, not being used to good effect ! :(

How is he going to sing this live?

    What does everyone think?

I'm thinking the same and this song is not make me happy :sneaky2: This song have potentiel but the electro rotten everything. The voice is the soul of a song and what we heard a robot voice  I really hope that the others songs of TOOL are not like this :aah:

  4. oh thanks! :thumb_yello:

the next three months start from...June?

    So, let's figure June-July-August?

so, if we are lucky it may come out at the beginning of the 3 months...June?

    :freak:

    my brain's on fire!

    Your welcom.

My brother told me this yesterday late evening, and I want to kick is ass for telling me this so late :sneaky2:

The list is for May, June and July, but there is no specific date and apparently it is not the only one album with no precise realise date :naughty:

  5. I have an information on the release of The Origine Of Love :mikacool:

My brother saw yesterday an old friend who is directorof one of the fnac store in Paris. On the list of album releases for the next three months there is The Origin Of Love by Mika :aah: Mika's album was not on the list before I think it's a good sign :wink2:

  6. I was thinking naively that if Mika compose a song for Madonna that makes me a little bit appreciate it but seriously I hate the song :boxed: I always dislike Madonna and all the things she does and apparently not change because Mika wrote for her. It's life, Madonna is not my cup of tea:naughty:

Thanks God Mika's new album does not sound like this song :wub2:

  7. Kids, this is what we call dealing with disappointments. It would be nice if we could all be a bit more graceful and be happy for others for a change. If I were Karla, I'd just say feck you all at MFC, I'm going to Vegas!

As Deb says, it's never going to be ok. If I or say Tiibet would have won it would be unfair, if Christine or Deb had it would be unfair. Who says Karla is not a big Mika fan? You don't have to be a member here to be a big fan. Just be happy for others for a change.

    Congrats Karla!

Not sure if It was you or Tiibet that others fans from MFC were disappointed because you enter MFC not for the golden ticket.

I'm a Mika fan since January 2007, subscribed to MFC only in 2009 because I don't really like some threads in 2007 and 2008 about Mika's private life:sneaky2: I met fans during gigs who were really nice and want to share with others fans my passion for Mika's music and finally I enter MFC, Mika France and Mika Website, and not for subscribing for contest of any sort.

I just point the fact that some people subscribe to MFC just for the golden ticket, if they are Mika fan or not. Not pure intention that's all. We fundraised a first time without any golden ticket. May be I'm to idealist but the best way to have new faithful members it's during gigs when MFC fans speaks to others fans not yet members. We are the best ad with Mika for MFC :biggrin2:

But congratulation again to Karla and really hope that she will participate on MFC.

  8. Despite the wording they kept using on Mika's FB, this was not a competition. It was a fundraising drive and we wanted to raise as much funds as possible for HEMS by opening it up to everyone. We needed them to become members of MFC so we could keep track of everyone and get in touch with them if they won.

Everyone who participated donated money to MFC's fundraising drive to support London's Air Ambulance, which is the important thing. :thumb_yello:

It was a fundraising yes but there is a price by consequenses it was a competition. And If we really want to raise much money without winning ghost members it was not necessary that people be register on MFC in the rules. The London's Air Ambulance could contact the winner because we all let our mail address :thumb_yello:

  9. Congratulations to her. For a person who is registered for only 3 days on MFC, she is lucky. But not sure to see this person over here one day. I hope I'm wrong:boxed:

I'm not jalouse because I had no chance to win because I never have chance with any competition :naughty: I had number 1 and 2, not helping too:roftl:

But the thing that is disturbing is that on MFC normally for entering a competition we must to be register since a certain date because it's a door open to people who just want to do competition and not participate to MFC life:sneaky2: And for this contest it was not the same rules I think that MFC win ghostly members.

  10. i'm hoping someone will record it when it's Mika, cause Mtv belgium stinks, they don't even play music anymore, or hardly anyway, :sneaky2:

In France it's little better, we have MTV, MTV Puls, MTV Bass and MTV Hit. In my case I have the sattelite and I prefer to look Mezzo channel because the programs on MTV just make me feel like someone coming from another planet :roftl:
