He likes Tim Burton a lot and mentions him in quite a bunch of interviews. Usually something along the lines of, "I like this concept of a dark fairytale, the contrast between those sweet-sounding melodies and the serious lyrics"

watched Nightmare Before Christmas just yesterday. As far as I know my first Burton-film. And it was beautiful Mika really has great taste.
