  1. LOVE this idea :) I've been looking for a pen friend for a really long time. Maybe I'll find someone here! I'm from Switzerland and I would love to have a penfriend from the USA... or England or Australia or any other country who's far away and English speaking. :)

hi :bye: wanna be my pen pal? I'm from New York :original: i spent a month in Switzerland a few years ago... loved it!

  2. I'll tell here as i'd die of shame of reporting this...

So me and Mary and Lils get inside the Ritz, right?

And i try to keep a professional look so the girl in the lobby thinks the bag is a real order from Mika...and that we're not really fans, but catering deliverers or whatevah...:mf_rosetinted:

    AS IF..

And i say: Hi, i have something for Mr. Penniman...

And everything would be fine and we would leave without a grin on her face if i don't say the last "geniuslike" sentence::naughty:

Oh, please, be sure Mrs. Penniman gets it today, it's fresh products...:lmfao:

She grins as she's starting wondering whether the damn bag had fresh eggs or fat milk directly from the farm...:roftl:

By now, the girls behind me are about to break up in laughter so we make our best Sex & The City looks with our hairs blowing in the wind and our shades on, and walk out of the Ritz with 3 concierges opening doors to us...:lmfao:

I'll never putt my butt on that Ritz again...:mf_rosetinted:

:lmfao: thanks for sharing!! hahaha wish i could have seen that scene :naughty:

and thanks for the captions, awesome as usual :original:

    AND HAVE FUN TOMORROW! :yay:

  4. That's not crazy at all, I don't think. That's actually what I want to do (maybe not the exact same destinations, but the general idea of travelling around the world).

My law teacher in senior year of highschool travelled when he was finished university. He bought a one way plane ticket to France (so he started there) then he went to Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Jordan...and across the Middle East and Asia. He ended up in Korea. He said that, in total, the year that he travelled cost less than a year of university. His stories were amazing!

I think one of the things to do to save money is to not stay in fancy hotels all the time (ever). :naughty:

he sounds like an amazing person! I bet he was a good teacher :original:

and yeah, some people laugh or call me spoiled when they hear I want to 'travel the world' but i really have no interest in traveling luxuriously, in fact i think i would probably get more out of it by not.

i know so many people who have had such wonderful experiences and tell the most awesome stories from traveling... for example my dad hitchhiked around Europe before heading back to the States for business school, my volleyball coach travelled the world in 9 months and only stayed in 1 hotel the whole time and my aunt and uncle were in the Peace Corps in Afghanistan in the 80s. So yeah, it's my dream to create my own experiences like that...I could go on an on, but I'll stop my rambling now lol haha :mf_rosetinted::biggrin2:

  5. oooh i really love this thread!

hm, i have a pretty long list of silly things, but my number 1 is to travel around the world. I'm going to college (university) next year, but after I graduate i most definitely plan on traveling. Of course, I have no idea how im paying for it haha but I have spent many hours making sample itineraries etc. lol

if i somehow manage to find a way to finance it, i want to spend 3 months in Africa, 3 months in Europe, 3 months in Asia, a month in South America and a month in Australia/New Zealand. I don't want to stay anywhere fancy and i plan on backpacking/hitchhiking a lot, but i just want to experience daily life and culture all around the world and learn a lot about our global society.

so yeah, that's my dream. it might sound crazy but I only hope i can make it happen someday!!

  6. YKYAMFW you have extra time on a test so you rework your last answer to include the phrases:

    By the time...

    If my interpretation is correct...

There will be no happy ending...

    and

    stuck in the middle...

it required some creative sentence structures and my teacher will probably think I'm a tad insane because some phrases sound very awkward but hey, it was definitely worth it :roftl:

  7. I remember he was trying to sign my mask at the Lieve Paul show, because I stood in front of him. And then I was looking around and suddenly felt something pressing on my head and I looked back and saw him in full focus trying to write on the mask and I just went: "Uuuuuhh....Whát are you doing?" And he smiled and said: "I wanted to sign your head! But it DIDN'T WORK!"

Here is the picture of that moment:roftl:

I did give him my WTF face yeah:mf_rosetinted:

so so cute :) The moment is captured perfectly :biggrin2: (not that I was there, but I can imagine :thumb_yello:)

  8. What a lovely documentary!!! I love the format of it... touring his life etc. then ending with footage of a gig-- it was the perfect combination of his personal life and his beautiful shows and really highlighted how much he loves what he does!

I also love his family :) Yasmine is so cute, and they are so cute together! And lastly, Jimmy's little dance down the hallway at 12:50 made me laugh :roftl:

Here are a few snaps I took, sorry they're not that great quality, and the 'pause' sign is in the way a little bit in a few :mf_rosetinted:
