annoyed. had one of those days... you know, the ones when it feels like everywhere you look is another person ready to get annoyed with you for liking Mika

so i've retreated here

Don't speak a word of Spanish but have just watched it all the way through... whew!! Luckily I could hear Mika over the voiceover and just the visuals were enough to keep me smiling for 40 minutes

SO ADORABLE i love the randomness and craziness of the show... Mika just soaks it all in and uses the energy to become even funnier and more charming

Jimmy is so level-headed and down to Earth. When I said thanks for the drink and spending time with us, he just laughed and shrugged it off and said "It's alright, I'm not a celebrity or anything." It just made Jimmy and the situation a whole lot more real. Jimmy felt more like someone I actually know, rather than just some guy Ive happened to meet a few times. He's really social and friendly and I have much wub for him.

 

And I totally get what you say about the laugh. What would you rather have: A hug that you requested or Mika laughing at something you said/did/gave and genuinely finding it funny?

 

It's all about the genuine things!

1. You're so right about Jimmy While your situation was definitely more personal, I had the pleasure of having a quick chat with him with no one else around. He was immediately so so natural and sweet. My friend mentioned something about the gig we were at being a present for my 18th birthday and he said "Aw, happy birthday!" and gave me a hug. He was so sincere and sweet and it was such a fantastic moment

2. "It's all about the genuine things!" <-- perfectly put!! Even though I was fortunate enough to take a picture with Mika, I almost feel more fortunate to have had a conversation with him. Chatting about New York, where I'm from (which he thought was totally awesome since I was all the way in Berlin!) and seeing his reaction to the bracelets I had made for him were such genuine moments-- little glimpses of who Mika is/what he's like-- that you can't always get from a picture/handshake, etc. alone

well, i smiled. luckily i was saved from my few seconds of speechlessness by him signing his autograph. But then my friend behind me annoyingly said "SHE'S A HUGE FAN!" and i shushed her and then turned to him and said something like i really do adore your music and your shows, you were fantastic tonight! and when he heard that I had an american accent (i was in berlin) he said "you're not from around here are you?" and i told him I was from new york and he said "NO!!! really? all the way from new york??" he really didnt believe me, but when i mentioned his past two NYC gigs, he eventually did. So we chatted for a bit about New York (i was DYINGGG inside that i was actually CONVERSING with Mika, but i think i managed to hold myself together quite nicely) and then i gave him the bracelets i made (there are pics in the Mika Fan Art thread) and totally had a fangurl moment when it seemed that he genuinely liked them, and then he was kind enough to take a picture (he said "well,since you're here all the way from New York..." ) and i managed to stay calm until i got into the cab back to the hotel and i lost it definition fangurl, my friends thought i was crazy! :mf_lustslow:

I posted these a while back, but just as an update here are my finished bracelets I actually gave them to Mika in Berlin and he seemed to really like them They're a little *obvious* but it's the sentiment that counts right?

Well, I only know that the girl before us asked him politely to take a photo with him which he refused and then we saw a bunch of people and some blond girl who managed to do it. If it were you, I really couldn't hear your convo even though we were just at the place you've mentioned and didn't have much luck with him that night. And he took photo with some another girl later and had a nice chat with some Polish guy. At least we handed him our very heavy gifts LOL so Bona fides and maybe next time we'll have better astro constelation.

hmm... im not blonde, but i did see a very blonde girl who was next to me... but this is a silly convo im very glad you got to give him your gifts, I'm sure he was very appreciative!

and I should have my photos/vids up in a few days... i am still away and the internet is horribly slow!!

Unbelievably happy! I found out a few hours ago that I got into my top two choices for university

Then he turned to the left and met some non MFC girls and a boy who were surounded him in a pushy way and took a pic with him even though he told them he dind't want to take photos.

oh dear, you might me referring to me i was there with 4 non MFC girls (who did come across as annoying, i admit it!), but hmm, no boy... but he complied with a picture saying "well you're here from new york and all!" i hope you don't think i was being annoying and pushy! or maybe im just paranoid and you're not referring to my group at all were you at the far end of the queue? away from the stairs?

and mellody, i don't believe we met, but you may have seen me... i was the one with the 4 friends (speaking english) who were going slightly insane because they were cold...hahha they were pretty hard to miss, but i guess i love them a lot for sticking with me till he came out

I am on a crap computer at a hotel in Barcelona so this has to be short, but last night was FANTASTIC. I totally agree with Tiibet about singing along during songs such as OMS and I See You, but i tried as hard as I could to block them out and they were both so beautifully done!! I have some nice video of I See You which I will upload asap but who knows when as I am travelling for another week or so. I wasn`t sure how i would like the dr. john outfit coat thing based on videos from other gigs, but i actually really liked it!! it fits so well with the song and of course, leave it to Mika to pull off something like that perfectly

the energy of the concert was so great (gotta love smaller venues for that reason!) and his talking bits were so amusing (my friends who i went with, who aren`t as familar with Mika didn`t understand why i was laughing so hard at some points ) and everything -- as usual -- felt so incredibly natural and the whole `story` of the show flowed so well. everything was amazing i can`t wait to upload my vids and pics, but like i said, who knows how long

and then after... while waiting outside I got pics with imma and jimmy and jimmy gave me a hug () because my friends told him that this trip (to Berlin/ Barcelona (where i am now) was for my 18th birthday, which was back in february. and Mika was obsessed with the fact that we were there from NYC haha he was very excited... he even said that they were planning "something special" for new york, and mentioned something about a week long event with several shows...! i gave him the bracelets i made (check the mika art thread...i´ll also post final pics of them later) and he seemed to really like them then i got a picture and managed to hold myself together before totallllly fangurling in the cab back to my hotel

an amazing amazing amazing night!! and stay tuned for my vids / pics i promise i will get them up

when you have the hardest exam in your entire scholarly career tomorrow and you A) plan your outfit to include your Mika gig shirt, your heart bracelet and your blue watch that Mika has too and B) start to feel sluggish at around midnight and so you blast WAG and dance like a crazy person for 3 minutes and 58 seconds and then you feel much better.

i swear, i think im going crazy right now...
