  1. oh wow! that's very nice, but i think you are the tolerant one!!! :naughty:

i value my alone/ girlfriend time too much, when i don't have to worry about him and if he's having fun or not... :wink2:

aren't the SS going to be there soon? mika's probably not going to show up for a while...:dunno: but i understand. i will have to start saving up now, too, for any possible mika gigs this year...:teehee:

  2. oh bummer! can't you go with a girlfriend, leave the kids with the husband? you wouldn't regret it! (in fact, my husband prefers not to see the SS because there are too many gay people in the audience for his taste :teehee: he has nothing against gay people, it's just not his kind of crowd...)

yeah, i miss the shrinks thread and those people a lot, too, there is no other thread quite like it...:naughty:

i'm still very much a mikafan, a little more back to normal now which is good for my sanity, but i know it will all go to hell once i see him again...:roftl:

i'm already very nervous, my goal is to make it to 2 shows, which here in the US involves plane tickets etc...and i'm very busy and very poor. so hopefully it will work out. can't wait for his new album!

  3. hey, not sure if that would be interesting to you at all, but i just saw the scissor sisters are going to have a show in kiev! might be fun... sorry, i'm on here so rarely, hope you still even remember me...;-)

  4. hi! i saw your post on the RW thread. i just wanted to say, don't give up! :aah:

i'm a very new fan and it took me quite some effort to get into his music.

but i had come across 'cigarettes and chocolate milk' and was totally obsessed with it, so i thought there MUST be more that i would like...

oh, and i was so right! to be honest, it's not like with mika, i don't love all of RW's songs, some i will skip over. but more than half on each album i like a lot, and some are just to die for...:blush-anim-cl:

can i give you some suggestions?

check out the video for 'april fools' on youtube. (:mf_lustslow:)

listen to: imaginary love, the art teacher, going to a town, beauty mark, poses, little sister, nobody's off the hook, and of course cigarettes and chocolate milk.

hope you don't mind me telling you this, and let me know if you want any more suggestions...:teehee:

  5. hey, thanks, i have been checking in there... loved your report. i'm so glad you had a good time, it sounds like it was all that you wanted it to be...:blush-anim-cl:

how cool to be interviewed and talking to the filming guy! :thumb_yello:

i understand what you said about the meeting afterwards, how you didn't want a pic and wanted to be normal... i feel really weird about M&G, too, i kind of have to force myself. mostly i don't want to impose on the artist, and i also don't want to put myself into a situation like it...

but it's great when it goes well, and i justify the inconvenience for the artist with, wouldn't it be really weird/sad for them if no one was waiting?

and when i go see people that seem to have a fanclub that follows them EVERYWHERE, i think it must be nice for them to also see some 'new faces' waiting for them afterwards...:teehee:

i've been really busy, isn't everyone in december (von wegen 'staade zeit' :naughty:), but it's good to see you on here!

  6. christine! hope you have a great time tonight!!! :wink2:

(saw your little mention of it on the how-much-mika-makes thread...:naughty:)

  7. hey! miss you! could revive the shrink thread but thought a little break doesn't hurt...:teehee:

  8. thanks, already read it on the VW thread! :biggrin2:

reminds me a little of my last scissor sisters concert, they also didn't seem to be super connected to the audience but for very different reasons: they put on a huge show that seemed too choreographed and almost too much.

it really is great when an artist/band interacts w/ the audience like mika. he really looks at people, i hadn't experienced that a whole lot before...so, maybe we are really a little spoiled by mika now...:teehee:

can't wait to hear about your mgmt gig in a few weeks...:wink2:

  9. i do appreciate a good BEAT! if i could have picked an instrument to learn, i would have been a drummer...(instead my parents picked the flute)

i haven't given up on mgmt yet...;-) when's the concert? have you seen them live before? i'm sure you will love it, OMG i can't believe how much better RW sounds live. even though, i've seem him at seated events. which i usually don't like. i'm not paying $50 to be sitting down, i want to dance! anyways, can't wait to hear about your mgmt concert soon!

  10. ok, i will! btw, i listened through the whole mgmt album on their website once, like a month ago, while i was baking cookies... definitely need to listen again, but that one instrumental song freaked me out a bit...:teehee:

btw, i'm not always listening to slow emotional music, one of my favorite albums right now and always is fatboy slim's palookaville (e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIlWgIBABFw), or another favorite: electro glide in blue by apollo 440, also the old stuff of the chemical brothers... that type of music i would say is my most favorite type of music...(trip hop?)

  11. thank you! i love phoenix (somebody gave me the cd a few weeks ago), and i've tried to listen vampire weekend before but gave up because they are sooo young! which i guess makes me feel old...:boxed: but is no real reason. i like the song you posted...:teehee:

  12. hi! thanks for accepting my request. :teehee:

i figured we know each other by now...:wink2:

see you in the shrinks thread...

  13. ok, i tried another pm, please let me know if you got it this time...

  14. hey, i was trying to send you a PM, did you get it? (it doesn't show up in my sent folder)
