  1. I just wanna say a big hello to everyone here on Mfc, I'm new and really happy to be part of this world!

    I'm Anna, I'm Italian and i live in Milano.. that's it. :thumb_yello:

Ciao Anna! (I've always liked this name so much :blush-anim-cl:... and I love your city which I was happy to visit last Summer)

Welcome to MFC, hope you'll have fun :original:

    Salut Zo! Et bienvenue!

Peut-être que tu devrais créer un 'thread' pour te présenter. Il faut aller dans 'Introductions' et cliquer sur 'new thread' :wink2:

  2. They talked about BBB video clip and showed extracts of it in "50 minutes inside" program of yesterday :wub2: from 7 minutes 05:

thanks to Mine! she also put screencaps of the video on the BBB thread

Thanks! I must say this song is far from being my favourite but this video will probably be epic!

In this extract they say that they talked about BBB in last week's show; I can't remember if we saw anything from there?

  3. I see Belgium is missing, I'm not there but as a close neighbour maybe I can help (Belgians might want to check if I'm correct...)

I'm not too sure about the Dutch speaking ones...

  4. Mmmh I'm not sure about this...

During Le Before DGJ he was trying to avoid the answer when he was asked about it., he laughed a lot but that's all. He focused on how fun was the experience, and when the host insisted he only said... "on verra" (we will see) and then he quickly changed the conversation

So I will take it as a "No more The Voice this year, but I cannot say it yet"

    :naughty:

Totally agree with you, I think he will not do it again this year. Hope I'm not wrong :aah:

Agree with you girls, from what we've heard this week I would tend to think it's a no. I just hope it's not wishful thinking!

  5. Well finally I could translate this right away.

    Translation from Le Figaro:

Mika strips down/reveals himself in his new single Boum, Boum, Boum

It might be this Summer's hit. Passing through Paris, Mika releases today a new single with an evocative title; sexy and catchy song recalling a couple's lovemaking. The slightly suggestive image on the cover was already spreading around social networks last week, showing 2 small naked men next to a volcano, wearing warrior masks. The French lyrics of the last single of the British Lebanese singer are without any ambiguity, openly evoking his sexuality with his partner.

'Yesterday we were at your mother's, she almost fell on the floor while entering the dressing room, when you and me were doing boum boum boum' the artist sings. He talks mischievously about '7th Heaven' in 'the hotels' lifts' and 'the shelves going badaboum'. Between the scandalous Boris Vian song 'Johnny, fais-moi mal' (with lyrics 'J'aime l'amour qui fait boum') and the enthusiastic naivety of Charles Trénet 'Boum' (with lyrics 'Quand notre coeur fait boum, tout avec lui dit boum, et c'est l'amour qui s'éveille'), Mika makes his this famous onomatopoeia in French music and twists it in an appealing way.

Unrestrained, this song is also a committed hit. Interviewed by Le Parisien, Mika clearly explains that this song echoes the anti-gay marriage demonstrations in France. 'I want to arouse tolerance with a joyful song. This quite violent debate surprised me. But it takes time to get people to understand that neither the family tradition nor the children are in danger.'

Boum, Boum, Boum is the first single from Mika's next album, due in November. After being coach (winner with Kendji) in the TV talent show 'The Voice' and having recorded several songs in Molière's language (EMD, Karen, Un Soleil Mal Luné and L'Amour dans le Mauvais Temps), the artist announces that a part of his album will be in French because 'now, it's a part of him'.

  6. It's about Mika introducing a playlist he likes.

London Grammar so far (wasting my young years)

Annie Lennox: they had the same singing teacher, he used to meet her cause she always had her classes before him. I says she never changed (I think, I got distracted posting here... :aah:)

After that he went on with John Legend 'All of You' saying it's a superb, simple, melodic song, he was not expecting this from this singer.

Also Etienne Daho 'Weekend à Rome', he loves this singer, he thinks he's unmistakable (Italian fans might want to point out that this song is about a trip to Italy)

And lastly he just talked about Coeur de Pirate, he likes her voice a lot, when thinking about Montreal he thinks about Garou and her, he thinks she's still young and will have a long career.

  7. That is one of the reasons I love this song. It's naughty but not nasty. Not random hooking up,

but two people who really love each other and just can't keep their hands to themselves.

How is the song doing in France? Is it on the radio? Lots of downloads?

On Wednesday night I fell asleep with the radio on and I woke up at 3am because they were playing BBB (and my brain recognised it ) So it seems to get airplay :thumb_yello:

Otherwise it's #15 on Itunes main charts, #9 in pop charts :wink2:

  8. Sorry for this long report, it may not be very interesting for many of you :aah:

Just wanted to add that this one maybe one of my best day as a Mika fan, not especially because of Mika (even if he was really lovely :wub2:) nor the interviews (I still haven't listened to them :aah:), but because of the Mika fans world.

First, I was with many lovely people, and there was such a nice feeling and solidarity among all these people during the day, I absolutely loved it :thumb_yello:

Second, I felt really in connexion with many fans who couldn't be there with us: French people who couldn't come to Paris, non-French MFCers, everybody tweeted to me / us and I was so happy to be able to share (or not, sorry for not being a good live reporter :aah:) a bit with you during that day.

I have been feeling it for 2 days, this warm and joyfull feeling among the fans from everywhere, and I so love it :huglove::huglove:

I do think that the happy feeling of the song Boum Boum Boum is responsible for it, and I love it :wub2:

Thanks Mika for creating it :wub2:

Love to all of you, happy to be a fan and proud to be a MFCer :huglove:

Aww Mélanie, how I wish I could have been there with you all on these days :wub2: I'm really happy for all of you and I will take this opportunity to thank you particularly for bringing people together. You are the one who reinforces this connection :thumb_yello:

  9.

he doesn't write in french as well as he does in english, no matter what people say or think, i stand by it.

It's the first time I realise this so strongly, although I've had my doubts with L'Amour dans le Mauvais Temps..

But for me that song was not commercial and silly.. I'm sorry but that's how I feel about this one.. For now anyway. And believe me, it makes me very sad to have to say that

  10. All the people who are angry about the lyrics should think about how often they sand to Lollipop and what Lollipop means in that song.

I reall love this song, it´s fresh, summery, naughty and very catchy :mikalove:

I'm not 'angry' but I really don't like the lyrics. It's got nothing to do with Lollipop. It may be the same theme but the way the message is conveyed is completely different. Lollipop lyrics are very smart.

  11. A summary you say?

    Sex

    Was that too vulgar oops

Seriously is it ok to swear?

Because what the f***... I do not like it... Probably the first time I encounter this feeling... That strong...

Excuse me for that one... Expressing my thoughts.

My feelings are so strong I'm not sure I can even post something that makes sense :sneaky2:

Let's just say I agree with you.
