  1. i'm voting on the french site now. :thumb_yello: but what i'm wondering, does it still count as a vote on the french site although i don't see the vote button anymore but a different one? i get a little popup window, but not sure if that's just advertising

If what you see is the window where "koobeez" is mentioned then it's fine, it's just a sponsor so they say 'thank you for your vote with koobeez'

Anyway there are several different pages where we can vote on the French site, I think all of them are fine.

  2. Mellody, tell me if I'm wrong but it seems to me you had written a comment on the German NRJ website, it has disappeared now! What's wrong with them?

EDIT: Ok sometimes it comes up and sometimes it doesn't..Nevermind!

  3. on the german nrj website, we can get direct results on how people on this website voted. mika is 2nd to robbie, but with only 10% (robbie has 72%). let's get mika to no.1 there!

i think it's not hard, you can vote multiple times and seems like the total number of votes is 1640 at the moment - looking at the number of starflash votes, it should be easy for us to get mika to no.1! :biggrin2:#

btw, to get directly back to the voting form after you voted, just click on the small "male artist of the year" picture on the left, under the big robbie pic. :wink2:

Alright that will be my next Mika mission :biggrin2:

I'm quite frightened by all these votes for Robbie, but I do think that it's not the same with French votes. Mika might be second, but not so far away from Robbie. Hope so anyway.

  4. What is the cut off date for the voting at the NRJ Music Awards 2010 does anybody know?

My French isn't good enough to search through the site - unfortunately.

We have until January 17 to vote. That's only one week left so we need to put all our effort in it, he HAS to win this!

  5. I just know English :teehee:

Does anyone have Happy Ending translated to French? Or I See You? :wub2:

    Beginning of Happy Ending (roughly)

  6. Virgin Radio in France has opened a vote for the Top 100 pop rock songs of the decade. We can vote from December 8 to Dec 31. It will then be announced on Jan 1.

I couldn't listen to the whole show but I listened to the top 40 and unfortunately there were no Mika songs in there.. I was quite surprised in a negative way.. It's funny how this kind of radio shows don't reflect the sales, as I consider Mika's doing well in France atm.

  7. Promotion is the only downfall in the era thus far as the album is great! He didn't make himself relevant in the UK. As much as i appreciate how he is doing in France, in no way should that become his major Market. If he put as much energy into his promotion in the UK as he had down in France - he may have been more successful! He is performing more shows there than in the UK. Is the demand higher in France some may ask?

Your post just reminded me of something he said on a French interview before the PdP gig. He said "more than any other territory, it is a personal mission, I want to have a career in France". Could it mean he's actually doing more promo in the countries he personally wants to be successful in? Of course I think he wants to be successful in the UK too, but maybe he put a lot of effort in some countries because he was "emotionally" involved and left others behind without really realising it.

And yes, the demand is high in France, don't know if it's higher but definitely high.

  8. I think he should stick to a definition that is "British pop", because I think he represents British pop music and culture in the 21st century and actually keeps it good. He and Lily Allen the most right now; then Robbie Williams, Amy Winehouse used to... etc.

As far as I recall, somebody said that Mika wouldn't be able to full the PdesP arena NOW like he did back in 2008.

I think that says enough, sadly

Even though I'm French and love when Mika speaks French or talks about anything related to France/French, I have to agree with you, his music is British and should remain so. It would mean a lot if he decided to sing in French, but I'm not sure it would work that well. I'm pretty sure I'd love it but it's a big risk.

I think he could still full Parc des Princes... Ok maybe France is not as crazy about him as 2 years ago, but it's still pretty big! And he's doing 9 shows here, of a capacity of about 10000, sometimes more, and it's nearly sold out so if he decided to perform in a stadium I think 50000 people could go..

  9. Virgin Radio in France has opened a vote for the Top 100 pop rock songs of the decade. We can vote from December 8 to Dec 31. It will then be announced on Jan 1. Here's the link

    http://www.virginradio.fr/antenne/Emissions/Top-100-PopRock-de-la-decennie

Mika is on page 4 and 5 (GK, LT, HE, Relax, Big girl and WAG)

I quote myself just to make sure more people see it.

On the radio they keep on saying several songs from Muse are at the top, let's have Mika instead :wink2:

  10. But it's so easy ... you only have to download 'real player' and then this program will lead you automatically through the download of every video showing on internet :wink2:

Some of us had a try at that the other night, but it would only download the 30 sec ad that comes before the show. I spent 2hrs trying to record something with another program and then I had the image with no sound... So it was not easy, Pamette seems to be the only one who can really help us here.
