  1. Then they should get ready to be said they should´t be telling Mika what to do I´ll cheer once they announce an Italian album to go along with the french one. Just
  2. Oh well, thanks Robi, I thought it meant something like more X Factor shows and stuff. As that italian article says, you will get bored of his face, but whatever Oh I´m sure there are people actually excited.
  3. Tell me this is either a joke or a bad translation, thanks.
  4. I can´t quote everybody but I think your post will make it I can´t agree here, see, a wise man once said: "Creativity is 1% inspiration and 99% of constant perseverance" (maybe you say determination, I just translated something that was in Spanish). I don´t think he can´t get any inspiration while working in any side project which has him busy 24/7, out of his house, his family and stuff. Don´t forget he needed to be alone or in LA to be able to write... For people like Mika I think inspiration is something they have every day, and if he is building a house, he´ll use his creativity in that house. That´s what makes him good at any fecking thing he does (well, more or less, his acting skills are... erm... ). So while he is judging others, he is losing this daily creativity in something else which is not what he is the best at. He could be a good drawer, maybe. Or a good designer, who knows. But he IS amazing when it´s about music. About creating music. Anyway, I totally subscribe to what the article says.
  5. Rose, thank you, this explains exactly why some of us are really upset since the beginning of these side projects.
  6. I don´t think that saying that this or that TV format is sh*t is an insult to any of the contestants or judges. I don´t know whether in your countries, the different "levels" of shows are in different channels. And I´m not sure whether in Italy it works the same way it works in Spain, but here in my country, the most sh*tty shows are in "Tele5" (which moreover I think it´s the same name as in Italy). That X Factor show belongs to that channel. It´s a matter of taste. But e.g. Tele5 would never show ANY documentary. Because that channel is addressed to a kind of people who NEVER IN THEIR LIVES would watch a documentary. It is that simple in Spain. I still don´t like the format, and I don´t like The Voice either, basically cause if I want new music, I can go to any shop, youtube, spotify or whatever and I find zillions of singers I have never heard of before. I know they just want an opportunity and stuff, but I don´t like it. It doesn´t mean I don´t like Mika... I still like him and his music and never wanted to offend anyone. But my opinion is what it is...
  7. Is he? How do you know that? For the other albums he needed to lock himself for 6 months to be able to write anything... But yeah, MFC nowadays is plenty of ungrateful beyotchs... pfff
  8. Thanks for explaining it so well. I particulary agree with the bolded part.

  10. Obviously. I hope he can get a solid fanbase in all those teenagers buying that Stardust single....

  12. two countries. Italy and France.... not many countries... I can´t feel respect or see any intelligence in someone advertising a TV channel..... I don´t know in Canada, but here people the only thing they remember about Mika is the "willy willy" stupid reaction. Maybe it´s cause it´s in a different language and they are not fans. Of course we remember many other important things but I was talking about what non fans see when they see Mika now. And if I recall fine, the ad MJ did for Pepsi was the one where he got his hair burnt, right? It was an ad with MJ singing. Same as Mika did for San Miguel. It´s ok. Advertising a private TV Channel is not. But then again... this is my humble opinion.

  14. As it´s been said zillions of times here, anyone can do whatever the heck he wants to do, and of course Mika is among these humans beings I´m talking about. But if to make money he needs a whole year playing the judge in several different countries I´m not sure it´s going to help him with his own music. Maybe it helps his budget. But for sure he is not going to be trusted anymore as he was when he started being a 23yo musician who was against all this sh*tty commercial music that TV shows as The Voice or X Factor are doing. The thing is not "how" he gets money. He could even sell his body, I dob´t care. The thing here is his reputation. I´m sure all of you have these sort of shows in your countries. Can you really imagine Freddie Mercury being a clown in Italy? Really? Michael Jackson? or for those who were born before the 80s: what would you think of musicians as Leonard Cohen, Neil Young or Aretha Franklin selling out in the X Factor industry? This is my point. I´m not a teenager, I´m not printing pics of Mika to decorate my walls. I have always supported him talking to my friends about a dyslexic who could create his own music, his own style, who toured the f*cking world with only one album released. And now, all they can see is a guy laughing his arse off in a "willy willy willy" video on youtube. This is what I mean. Can Mika do whatever the f*ck he wants? for sure. Is he going to miss me if I´m not around while he does his non-music related stuff? or course not. But the same way he is entlited to do what he wants, me too. And if I want to moan, or to show my disagreement, I´ll do. And I haven´t been around the last months due to my studies, and a sudden non-interest. Every now and then I come here to check if he has already made enough money to make an album. Then I read he´s said he is going to record this year. And the next thing I see is a pic of himself skiing in Switzerland Can´t wait to hear his new album. Really. Oh and sorry to have quoted you, it´s not about your post, it´s about the impression that MFC gaves lately...

  16. Mods, feel free to move or delete this if it has already been posted, I´ve looked for it but couldn´t find it.
  17. Not sure whether this is the right place to post this or whether this has already been posted. There´s a show in Spain called "Tu cara me suena" (sort of "your face rings a bell") where singers "imitate" other singers. This girl, Edurne had to sing Grace Kelly and this is the result. I won´t share my opinion http://www.antena3.com/videos-online/programas/tu-cara-me-suena/edurne-imita-mika-cara-suena_2014011000007.html
  18. Oh well, in that case it´s all his fault. From his fandom I think we have been demanding music ad nauseam and criticising these side projects. For sure he is not keeping his old fans happy, and he already knows it. But I think he has decided that it compensates him, to do side project and earn more money than treating his fanbase.... his life, his choices.
