    RAIN

    Love Today

    I See You

    Lollipop

Thank you Kumazzz - and to alle the others who shared vids, pics and their impressions so far. :flowers2:

Watching (and reading) all this gets me excited as hell and (to quote the Rocky Horror Show :naughty:) shivering with anticipation for Paris.

Jesus, i'm already running out of superlatives to describe what I think about the new show just by watching it by bits on vids and pics, without having seen it live yet... I'm dead certain that the live experience will bowl me completely over :roll1:

EDIT: I really hope he'll do a DVD recording of this show. Because I guess no matter how many gigs of this show one can attend - it will never be enough to ever get enough of it, that's already for sure!!!

  2. OMG!!! Beautiful, Amazing, Oh My Lord!!!!!:roftl:

    Thanks for post, thankxxxxx

Thanks so much , the pics/ vifeos of the stage took my breathe away!

    wow :wub2: and wow

it's all I can say now :naughty: wow!

    Oh Boy!Welcome back spaceman :das:

    AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!GOOD JOB MIKA!!!

    Love the tree

Everything looks AMAZING!!! Cant wait to see more

Wait a second - Mika flew? :lmfao:

Oh goodness. That's hilarious and amazing all rolled into one. Can't WAIT to hear Sara's report!!!

I LOVE this version of Rain, loved it the moment I heard it at The Album Chart Show. And the stage and theatre looks HUGE - like a real arena. Might not be O2 standard but it's definitely BIG - how many people does it fit? Makes me feel proud :blush-anim-cl:

    I SECOND ALL THAT!!!

Thanks a lot for the vids and pics!!!

Nothing left to say. I'm speechless with amazement! :yay:

    He's an artistic genius. :bow::biggrin2:

  3. Ok, an update from here (Monie and Ingie). After spending the whole afternoon at Schiphol airport we are at my place now. Schiphol looked like ghosttown, freaky.

We tried everything, that is almost everything. We could have gone by train but that would have cost us 500 extra euros per person, money we simply don't have. It would have been at least 15 hours of traveling (one way).

At a certain point the airline people told us there might be going a bus to Barcelona tonight or tomorrow morning for no extra fee. So we waited, and waited, and waited to hear in the end that they wouldn't go through with it since the higher people didn't approve of it. So we had to arrange it ourselves. Surrounded by at least 50 desperate Spanish people Ingie and I contacted the bus company since we were the only ones speaking Dutch.

As soon people noticed that I was talking to the bus company they jumped upon me, leaving me screaming to Ingie: "Be my bodyguard!" It was kind of scary, now I know how Mika must feel every now and then. They were all shouting so at a certain point I yelled: quiet! And every one was quiet . Wow, feels good to have so much power :biggrin2:.

So, we arranged for the Spanish people to be able to go home again tonight and we sacrificed our spot. The group was called: "group Simone," the tour operator told me, I felt like a celebrity :naughty:. People were very grateful, someone was crying, which almost made Ingie and me cry too.

We are very very sad we cannot go to the gig but we felt good that we helped so many people. Karma will repay us (hopefully :biggrin2:).

We tried everything that was in our physical and financial power. It wasn't meant to be....:tears:

    Mika we love you...

It has all been said. I just wanna join the others in saying that this really moved me and that you did a great and unselfish job!!! Sending love over from Germany to you both :huglove:...and to all the others who couldn't manage to travel either :group_hug:

Can you imagine that this might go on for weeks or even months? Unbelievable.

    It's hard to imagine...what a surreal situation!

This really moved me inside, Monie :flowers2: Everybody said that before and I relate: karma will pay you soon. You're a pair of angels!!!

On the other hand, I'm so sorry for the people who can't make it to Barcelona :huglove: hope you have your chance in another gig!

I really really hope those stupid ashes stop and that everything goes back to normal. The idea of flight cancellations during months scare me :yikes: not only for gigs I mean, but for every single matter....

I totally second all you've said!

  4. Well, I've got it all figured out (I think) :naughty:. I get to Paris on time to sleep for a few hours, then leave really early in the morning, I will be fresh so I drive, and hubby sleeps. We get there on time for the gig, and then we can sleep all we want in the upcoming days.

No hotel costs or anything else, as we're staying with my parents.

I'm hoping that my existent return ticket will work, as it's on thursday, and if not, I will just move it a bit. If it's still looking grim by the weekend, I will come back on a train+bus combo. Long but much cheaper.

In any case, I wasn't ready to not go to this, this trip meant too much for me now. It's not just about the gig. If it was just the gig, I would have gladly admitted defeat. I want to spend some time with my family, my mum wanted it too, and also I am the only one who can pick up those darn gig tickets.

If I don't do it and take my parents with me to the gig, they won't go by themselves, and I will end up losing as much money (in gig tickets) as it costs me to get there :insane:

So, all in all, the only alternative was to GO. I just kick myself that I didn't go with my original instinct, which was: act NOW because this will carry on. Instead, I waited, which made the situation harder.

Note to self: go with instict next time :roftl:. I would already be in Barcelona now, had I done that.

Anyway, thanks everyone for the support. Enigma, sorry you can't make it in the end. I need to pack and leave the house in just over an hour so I better get going.

I shall report from onsite :biggrin2:. Or if I get bored on the train later :roftl:.

Wow, Kudos! You're amazing...in other words: you kick ass!!!! :wink2:

SAFE TRIP, will be thinking of you! :thumb_yello:

Brilliant!!! You are both priceless...I knew, one look into this thread would immediately make my workday, thanks!

    :roftl:

Coming at you with a double D bust...

  6. "Do I have an opinion on it? Of course, I do. I have opinions on everything. I'm a stubborn old mule. The biggest problem is keeping my mouth shut."

:D I love that one, sorry if it has been posted before

    Where is that from? :roftl:

  7. finally finished uploading all my videos from stuttgart

Thanks for posting - incredibly funny and adorable! Looks like a lot of fun!!! Especially if you've seen the show more than once the little breakdowns, messed up things and surprises are simply the BEST! :naughty:

Too funny for words: "What we're gonna do next?" - "Grace Kelly" - "No, later" :roftl::roftl::roftl: Can't stop laughing 'bout that!

Oh, and have you noticed that look, directly into your camera, at the very beginning of Relax? Couldn't resist to make a screenshot of it :wink2:

  8. Big thanks from me as well, Mariposa - great report, very detailed and interesting to read. Can't wait for the little vids from Karin! :)

So he actually said that he won't be in Germany again for a long time?

I assumed that of course but to hear it "spoken out" doesn't make it any better *sigh*

I really have to keep myself from booking spontaneously another gig abroad...quite hard, it's so tempting... :aah:

  9. I've finally uploaded my Hamburg-pictures :naughty: It took ages - again. I have to figure out a way that is faster than what I did... :aah:

Anyway, in case anybody is still interested in them: http://s745.photobucket.com/albums/xx92/Statue_of_Liberty/Mika%20in%20Grosse%20Freiheit%2036%20Hamburg%2023th%20March%202010/

I tried to select the better ones, but left every LG/BG-pic if the ones want to see themselves. So those pics might have a worse quality. Sorry for that :wink2:

T4P! I was still very interested in them :biggrin2:

  10. newspaper review: http://www.pnp.de/nachrichten/artikel.php?cid=29-27548419&Ressort=feu&BNR=0 - it's generally a good review, but they didn't like the slow songs, said it wasn't good for the atmosphere.

I don't share that opinion - in my opinion they fitted perfectly and weren't bad at all for my atmosphere or mood :biggrin2:

But I have to admit, that the slow songs are definitly best when you are somewhere in the front, close to the stage. Because from behind you can't see Mikas facial expressions at all which to me are essential to convey the meaning of songs like OVM or I see you.

  11. Thanks a lot to all, who posted vids and pics!!! :thumb_yello::wub2:

I didn't film or took pics myself, this time I only enjoyed the gig, as it was unfortunately my last MIKA show for a while...

I am still enthralled and at a loss for words. The Munich gig was simply and seriously the BEST CONCERT I've ever been to. It was memorable!

P.S: IMO Mika doesn't necessarily HAVE TO put off his shirt on stage, I'm thrilled anyway...but let me put it this way: WAG was just :mf_lustslow::sweatdrop:

    :naughty:
