  1. Just returned from Paris and will try to do a short report as well. First of all thanks to everyone who posted reports, pics and vids so far :wub2: I didn't make any pics, sorry, cause i'm unfortunately unable to concentrate on taking pics or vids and enjoying the show totally at the same time (and i knew Tiibet would take pics and vids so i knew there would be very good ones from this gig :wink2:)

Me and my friend Jessi (PinkTequila) arrived around 10 at the venue directly after arriving at Paris by plane. We got numbers 109 and 110 - freaky! It was ok for us because we were sure to get to the first rows anyway at a huge venue like this - and we ended up 2nd row nearly in the middle, what was fine. But anyway i wished that it wouldn't be necessary to arrive before dawn at a venue just to get a number less than 50! Anyway, we had a great view and stood right behind Bianca and her mum, having a fab time partying together - thanx again so much for taking care of our bags and programs, that was so kind! :huglove:

Must admit that i really enjoyed the queuing that day, time flew by chatting and having a great time all together. Big thanx to the many lovely MFC people like Bianca and her mother, melman92 (you were a great and lovely bride and your little dance with Mika looked really fine, don't worry! I enjoyed watching you on stage so much!), Aimee (i <3 Mika), Sara, mellody, Tiibet and the others we saw (again) that day.

Weather was fine, our hotel was only a few steps away so we could bring our suitcases there and get us a coffee before returning to the venue. Like it has already been said John took care of us perfectly, watching after us and organized a special entrance for 150 peeps. Love him!

For me the hardest part is always to wait for the supporting act (btw I really liked the supporting act in Paris - does anyone remember their name please?) after having entered the venue...time seems to crawl! So i was glad they sold the new programs then so i had something to pass time. And like it's been said before - it's so worth the 15 Euros!! Stunning pics (every single one!) and layout. The pictures convey the fun and heart's blood as well as the hard work and effort that's behind putting up such a show. It is a perfect souvenir and - like mellody described it - a fab collectors item!

Ok, now the show...what can I add that's not already been said? Definitely want to mention that i really loved the crowd during OMS. Mika sang it so perfectly and full of emotion - and it was overwhelming that 17.000 people were actually quiet when he sang it. Got me goose bumps! They only applauded impressed between his singing parts and got quiet again when he started singing again - that was so respectful and stunning, it really moved me. Happy Ending was a highlight as well for me, Tiibet described it very well:

    From Tiibet (text)

"Btw, i think i got nice happy ending last night. He looked happy and pleased because people sang along so much :)"

"He made a heart to people who made hearts to him and smiled and happy danceed. Lol! It's only a short dance but cute:)"

The part when he made, smiling, the heart with his hands back to the crowd which was making hearts to him, was so cute and lovely. It was such a nice connection between him and "us". Loved that! And like mellody said i share her impression that it took a while until both Mika and the crowd were totally on fire. Like she said, you wouldn't have noticed it if it was your first Mika gig, because he was still magnificent. But at the second Paris gig for example he was much more on fire and more relaxed from the beginning on (that's my personal impression at least), shouting out something (in french of course) like "Let's have fun and have a party all together!".

It was amazing and a great sight when the crowd started doing the Mexican wave, shouting "Mika, Mika!" and clapping before the gig. What an atmosphere! Kudos to lillibet and the "french corner" on the left who started it!!! :biggrin2: But the audience was comparatively calm during the first songs. Until "Rain", from then on suddenly everyone seemed to explode! :thumb_yello: Loved being a part of that!

The band was awesome as well. They contribute so much to making Mikas gigs remarkable and unique, by just being fabulous and entertaining. I laugh ever time during SITM when they all signal that Mikas first try to do the trumpet solo is just crap :roftl: Loved the band during KA as well - it seems they are having more and more fun dancing and messing around during this song from gig to gig! And i like it that the audience boos at Mika after he shoots down his whole band - what gets him to finally "shoot" the audience as well, before turning around and saying "Excusez-moi!" in a diabolic exaggerated way.

Grace Kelly, sung half in french, was another highlight for me. Because i love hearing Mika sing the lyrics in french. That's music to my ears! Ida was live even more stunning doing her opera part before GGG than i expected it after the first vids from other venues. Just wow! And Mika interacting with her like a pouting little boy who tries to gain back attention is so funny and cute. As TY is one of my favorite songs, i enjoyed that extremely as well. The crowd was jumping, singing along and rocking the venue! Mika performed TY remarkably well, was very sultry (doing the famous "hand-touches-head-tummy-hips-movement" combined with flirty looks :mf_rosetinted:) and although i still don't get the whole meaning of the dragon, i like it a lot cause it just looks fabulous! Same for the "Billy" Flag - it's so huge and impressive and i especially like the ending when Mika poses next to the flag and tears it finally down.

To sum it all up, it was a memorable evening i wouldn't have wanted to miss. It was a spontanious decision and not that easy to get the days off at work, finding an affordable flight and so on. But Mika, the band and the other MFC peeps made it a hundred times worth it!

Off to bed now, will try to report about the 2nd gig tomorrow/soon.

    P.S:

Happy to see my friends again and meet other people. I really love the chat we had with Nightbird and her friend (sorry, I don't remember your mfc name) after the no-M&G ! :naughty:

It was really nice and fun ! Happy to meet you girls :wink2:

Deb, i totally agree! We also enjoyed the chat with you and your friend (sorry, I don't remember her name too) A LOT!!! You're such a friendly and likeable person - thanx again for helping with the tix for this gig and I really hope to see you again soon!!!

  2. Nina, I'm on my knees. Thanks so much for your report (can't wait for part 2). Please stop worrying about grammar or that you were a bad BG. Your english is great and what you write is always to the point. And I'm sure you wasn't that bad as a BG as you think :wink2:

I'm glad you could enjoy the show at last so much (how nice of the two french boys to let you rest in their hotelroom - wow, that's not to be taken for granted! :thumb_yello:) and I love the first pics you posted. They're amazing, as always.

Can't wait to see you tomorrow in Paris! :huglove:

  3. Thank you all for helping me find a way to get to the gig, it turns out that I can't go :tears:. There is no way I can be at school in time the next day, only if I go by Thalys and I can't afford that. Since I already missed a schoolday because of the gigs in London (I have school one day a week) it doesn't feel right to miss another one because of another gig. I am really sad that I can't go, I checked lots of possibilities. I just cannot find a way to make it work.

So I wish you all a lot of fun and hope to see some of you somewhere else (maybe in Antwerp or Amsterdam in 2 weeks?).

Thanks again for your help :wub2:.

    :huglove:

Sorry for you but i think it's the right decision, although it would've been great if it had worked out, of course. We'll take you with us in thoughts (to the front row of course :biggrin2:)!

I would quote all your latest pics but that would take too much space...but believe me, they were ALL so freakin' funny I nearly fell off my chair, laughing and struggeling for breath!

    :roll1:

M: "Hey there front row Wonka...so you think you are the cat's whiskers, making fun of me all the time...alright then, show me what you've got and gimme a live cap...NOW!" :naughty:

  6. Green ballon from the 2nd Hammersmith gig - 2010.

Was surprised that he signed it cos i was on my way away so other peeps could get there. Have heard after that i was about to hit him in the face with it :lmfao:

    :shocked::lmfao:

I wish someone would have filmed that scene... :bonk::naughty:

I love this thread and seeing all your signed stuff! Have to scan my signed pic first, so I'll hand it in here later :wink2:

  7. I was thinking we all have so much information when it comes to Mika and what he has drawn for us,signed and documented .. so I thought it would be interesting for the fans to show what he has done , not only for information (how his signature has changed for example) but also to document all this information we have into one interesting and hopefully informative thread..

One thing when you post please put when it was done and where if you can .. ill start ....

    This was done early 2007!

    GREAT IDEA, Freddie! :thumb_yello:

The one above is lovely, as you can see so much of Mikas handwriting, not only the signature. Is there a story behind it you can tell?

  10. Just finished packing. I'm leaving tomorrow in the early morning and will arrive in Paris late in the afternoon.

    :biggrin2:

HOW to recognize me in the queue: I'm gonna wear a pink (fuchsia) French berret. :lol3:

that's a pretty strange description but anyway.

Looking forward to seeing agian those that I alrady know and meeting new MFCrs! :wub2:

I'll see you on Monday at Bercy! :bye:

Have a nice trip - see you on monday! Guess we won't miss each other, I'm tall too....1,80m :wink2:

  11. Here is a fantastic vid of Mika talking & Happy Ending posted by Kasabianweb at YT.

I love it at the beginning when Mika goes to the audience to clarify the Italian words he wants to say.

At 4:58 Mika raises the hair on the back of my neck:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO7gVgGihyM

    Enjoy!

Wow. Thanks so much for posting. I agree.

Got me goose bumps and even close to tears, I must admit...so moving!

  12. :woot_jump: :woot_jump: :glasses2:

(which means: am incredibly excited but trying to look cool... :roftl:)

off to paris in an hour. will be able to go online from the train as long as i'm still in germany, but no idea whether i'll have internet access in paris. but will text important things on twitter in any case. :wink2:

oh, and tomorrow we're planning to see versailles... hope it'll work out, heard it's quite a trip from paris. but i've done all the usual city sightseeing when i was in paris the last time (ca. 10 years ago), so would be fab to see versailles this time, including the gardens and its fountains. :wub2:

Have a fab and save trip to Paris! I went to see Versailles last time i was around Paris and it's really worth it. So beautiful, full of history, i loved it!

See you on monday! I'm not excited as well. Not at all, see: :glasses3:

    ......ok, let's jump! :woot_jump:

  13. No offence ... but I really really sincerely hope they do not do another DVD from one of the shows in France ... please ... he does have fans in other countries .... it would be nice to show that :aah:

That's no offence at all :biggrin2: In fact, I don't really mind where they are filming - i just hope that this show will be captured on DVD because i guess you can't see it often enough to ever get enough of it. There are so many details and things to discover, you can't get them all by seeing the show once, twice or even some more times.

  14. But I was impressed for the sense of love sharing that was amog the people...and between MIKA and us...(despite some rude people pushing and not bein' polite..:sneaky2: yep, but as I read I wasn't the only one, so...whatever...I WAS THERE FOR MIKA) the all sing-along thing...and the face Mika had when the lights were down...he was just staring at this enormous crowd of people singing just for him...my eyes weren't big enough to catch all the emotion and the stars in his smile when looking at us...all he could do was shacking his head in disbelief. I don't know if things like this happens in every gig...but at a certain poin he was quite "moved" and...oh well...and I was crying/smiling/singing and jumping at the same time.

    Wonderful report:wub2:

You described the bolded part so beautifully.

I agree, what a beautiful description! I just watched the AOW vid posted here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNI7lnhgrcM T4P!) and it struck me right away. It's really touching to see Mika being so moved by the sing-along crowd, this vid captured the moment perfectly (starts at around 1:20 min) And i love it when he gets on his knees for the crowd, happily smiling (around 3:20) or shakes his head in disbelief how you described it...

    AOW_Milan.png

  15.

Mika jumps like a flea on a street dog...

And so it kept going, me looking like a tipsy monkey dancing some of the times, others looking like a dead body staring at him when he approached my side of the stage...Duuuuuhhh, Wonka...

He smiled when i was dancing, i thought hey it's ok i'm doing it right...

But when i would freeze staring he looked as if to say Heeeeeeey wot's da matter da matter, you moron???

I didn't notice wot he was wearing, i couldn't tell which song was song or not, i was feeling like Paris Hilton on the hair saloon...

    :shocked::lmfao::clap:

Thank you so much. That's by far the most entertaining report I've read so far! LOVE IT! You're so unique! (And that's a compliment. Don't get me wrong :biggrin2:) Glad you had a fab time! :biggrin2:
