  1. Oh, he's hiding in here? Where? When? :teehee:

This would be nice, actually. And since he is a control freak, not such a surprise after all.

About the music: yes, you are right, now I understand the notes. Well, it is a fun nevertheless. And if he doesn't want to publish them, well he has the copyright, so... I had to play a lot of stupid stuff like Cherny as a kid. So now I wanted to play the piano again and I thought that if I play Mika it would make more fun to start again. But you surely can play all of his stuff! Great!

Are you a musician or teaching music?

I "discovered" him pretty recently actually, in January this year (there was this concert at Arte (Baden-Baden) & I saw this & at first thought: This guy is so strange (cause he sang so high and had this broken foot), but good! And then I watched Grace Kelly (at Jools Holland) on You Tube and the performance was so amazing!!! And he is just such genius song writer! Hope he writes on and on and on... :thumb_yello:

  2. Oh, are there any guys at all on this forum? :teehee:

I bought "Mika" notes few weeks ago (LIACM) & am since then trying "My interpretation". It is quite easy to play (if you compare it to Billy Joel or Elton John - I looked at those notes in the shop and quickly put them back...), but the piano part is mostly a support for the singing, the real melody is the singing, so THAT is a bit embarrassing... But it is fun, you are right! Almost more than listening to the songs...

  3. Hi, Laura!

Thanks for your message! I am a girl. Just wanted to try out this forum before giving too much information about myself here - you never know... That's why I don't have an avatar too. But there is nothing very extraordinary about me: a psychologist, love books & music. And Mika, obviously. And play the piano too, not that well, but I am trying... You play quite good, don't you (Well-Tempered Clavier, phew...)?

I like shy people, they are so intriguing! My mum told me once: "For every person's personality/soul there is an entrance, you should only find what it is. Than they open themselves to you." And she is a translator, not a shrink like me.

I am quite outgoing myself and talk all of the time and a lot of stupid stuff too... :-)

  4. Yes, so he should do more of those, right? I know his schedule is crazy, but on the other side I can imagine that acoustic gigs are not so stressfull as the big shows (less jumping around, less organisation, less expensive too) and perhaps it is not so bad for his voice, cause he doesn't have to sing as loudly as in big venues. But who am I to know things like that... Just hoping for another acoustic tour.
  5. Yes, I also prefer the acoustic shows. You can listen much better to the music and watch the band. Actually my favorites are the performances where only Mika and Martin are playing. I also like it a lot when they try changes in the songs and sing them differently as the CD versions and when they improvise, but that comes from my love for jazz.
