  1. well, I gave it a try, hope it's a bit more understandable :blush-anim-cl:

The Amercian DJ Felix da Housecat palys the remix song 'By the way' of Red Hot Chili. People move and dance to the music, but on the side of the club, near the bar and the sound engineer's cabin, many people are already tired of dancing around and take a break sitting on the steps. Girls with high heels and their companions await the start of Mika’s concert, who is the star of the party.

two and a half hours latter, at the time schedule hour. The room isn’t full yet. Most of the audience, tourists, put on their more fashionable clothes. The lights and the music stops. The audience who was sitting raises euphoric and whistles. They have posted banners on the stage that remmember us of the French Baroque. The crowd repeatedly shout: "Mika!, Mika!, Mika!". Out of nowhere appears the singer. Along with the vocalist and the other group members. Mika opens a real live concert, 20min delayed, with his better-known 'Relax, take it easy'. The audience screams excited. People raise their hands, jump and sing the song. Many lift their phones to capture the moment.

Mika dressed alll in white stands out on the stage. The singer dances with great energy and expressions (?) the songs from the album 'Life in a Cartoon Motion'. He moves all around the stage and encourages the public to jump and sing the chorus. Musicians and vocalist accompanying the artist wore clothes similar to the those in the pictures.

"Good night Ibiza! Are you ready? " Shout the singer with emotion. The audience nods and yells at the same time. The music plays; blue, yellow and white lights illuminate the entire place. People start to sing along to Mika’s ''Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)''. The singer climbs the stairs of the stage and the light are on him. He takes off his jacket with vitality and launches into the air (:das:). Says hello to the reserved attendees of the club (I guess it means he waved/greeted the vips?) . The singer points the audience with his microphone wanting them to sing: "Harder!" Asks the artist. And the public try again successfully.

Mika puts on a navy blue jacket in baroque style to sing 'Rain', 'Blame it on' (I assume is ‘on the girls’ :aah:), 'Love today' ... The artist sings a song after another, non stop. The cheerful style of his songs and his high voice, which many imitate without success, create a spontaneous euphoric atmosphere that is not typical in the nightclusb of Sant Rafel.

The music stops for a moment and to cheer even more the public, Mika pretends to drow out an imaginary sword and kills all of his band members. Then he those the same with the public. The people who are closer to the stage play along and get to the ground, all badly injured. "Are you ready?", Mika asks. The music turns louder, the artist and the audience rise euphoric, then 'We are golden. " is played "Bello! Bravo Mika, "shout some Italian guys while jumping and raising their hands.

After 'We are young', 'Grace Kelly' and the playful song "Lollipop", Mika says goodbye to the public. He leaves. But the audience wants more.

Seconds later the singer reappears and sings his new single, 'Elle me dit ", entirely in French and with a more electronic style. Although the public does not know the lyrics, they hum the chorus and dance with emotion. The band says goodbye and leaves. The crowd cheers him while techno music is reborn.

  3. I swear it was Ingie:lmfao:

She tried to have her brush signed, but Mika didn't (too many people and too many of them annoying Mika), so Ingie put a big smile on her face and combed her hair:aah:

    :floor:

Could it really be anybody else?:naughty:

I had no interest in being in the picture myself but couldn't go without leaving my mark somehow. :mf_rosetinted:

    :lmfao:

Well to be honest, I didn't really try my best to get it signed. It was more like, ooh everyone waves around with tickets, well let me get my brush out:naughty:

  5. I have thought a lot about why I dislike the song. I think the problem of "Weather" the way it was played at the gigs, is, that it is "too much". The first "too much" are the lyrics that are screaming "cheese" loud and big and that are so conventional. Then there is Idas voice and way of singing that gives the song this Disney/Musical-touch. The beginning of "Weather", where only Mika is singing, isn't Disney/Musical-like. I like Idas voice, but here it's not fitting. So there is the Musical-Disney-Ballad feeling - and Disney/Musical-ballads are - cheesy. On top of all it's a duet - again something that is connected to romantic and cheesiness.

Also a lot of elements are so conventional. I felt if I had listened to similar lyrics, similar musical-ballads and similar-duets thousand times before…

The pure melody is a good one, as the piano-video proves. But cheesy itself, too, yes. Which is not a bad thing if the "surrounding" works in a good way. And for me this would mean a very raw arrangement (no strings!) and other lyrics, maybe something that goes in the opposite direction to get an interesting contrast. I don't know, to my mind the song would be much better if there would be a "counterpart" to the melody in some way, so I would get an inner contrast. But not a quadruplicating of cheesiness…

So, overall in my humble opinion: Keep the melody and change all the other parts completely.

    .

yup, cheesy sums it up pretty well :naughty:

I would have said keep mika's voice and change evrything else:mf_rosetinted:...

quien sabe capaz me termina gustando después...soy tan fluctuante ajajaja

  7. ok, :tears: I don't like it much really, it sounds like a really old musical Disney song and, well what you all have being saying, Ida's and Mika's voice don't sound good together...after hearing Karen (or however that song is called :aah:) this one's feels like a bucket of water. I like his slow songs, like AOW, at the begining I thought this one would be more less that style, but it doesn't feel the same :dunno: + the lyrics doesn't do much for me either

oh well the point of playing songs live before finishing the album is to see the publics reaction ...right? I hope he'lll change it :blush-anim-cl:

  8. it sounds so beautiful :wub2:

well, i try, but it's quite hard from this recording :naughty:

here are random sentences i picked up & translated :aah:

she always says she will be a star, she sleeps with a jerk (i'm using the milder of all translation for this word :teehee:) & sings other's songs

she lives with her mom 2 streets down from 82 des martyrs

he came by her house & knocked at the door

she told him she doesn't answer to strangers

she sings at the 82 des martyrs

at 50, she still doesn't have money

she sleeps on a rotted mattress & the springs dig into her side

    but she is freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    :lmfao:

    does that help? :naughty:

:aah: why does he always meets girls like that :naughty:

  9. Yes! My first thought was, "Now THAT'S more like it!" As you say, the

song has a fabulous vibe, I just wish I could understand the

lyrics better. I eagerly await the words, both in French and translated

    into English. Help please?

His voice -- doesn't it just sound gorgeous? :wub2:

Yeah, I can definitely feel some fangurling coming on, even at my

    advanced age. :fangurl:

    :wub2:

he changes his voice alot during the song, is kind of simple, I mean, is soft, but energetic and kinda sweet :blush-anim-cl:...ok I don't know what I'm saying I'll continue to :fangurl::fangurl:

  10. Receiving the Yearbook :wub2::wub2::wub2:

aw I'm so glad he received it! hope to see his reaction soon :yay::clap:

aaah! why does so many things happen when I'm so bussy and when I'm bored to death there's nothing goin on here :aah: I should be doing a paper, I should be working...but my friends aren't here right now :naughty:

ok ..I know this isn't the thread for this, but, look at his arm! working out, huh:teehee:
