  1. On the occasion of the 5-year anniversary of the first time I saw Mika

    perform live:

Thought some of the newer MFCers might enjoy seeing what it was

like "back in the good ol' days"... you know, back when Mika actually

    toured the United States.

    Just sayin'...

    :fisch:

Thank you for posting this :thumb_yello:

  2. i applaud you for sticking up for your beliefs minthy!! but i also wonder: did you engage him in conversation about why he's homophobic? or did you try to change his mind? i know that's easier said than done but still worth a shot...when i met my husband he was what i'd consider homophobic but i was upfront with him about my past as well as where i stand and gradually he became waaay more tolerant. sometimes people are homophobic out of simple ignorance - their religion or just not having had any interaction with a gay person...if we're lucky we might be able to change their views with a little effort..:thumb_yello:

Hi, I don't try to change his mind because of the way of his reaction when we are talking about it. He become angry and I don't like it. My friend tried to change his mind too but nothing change. He is the most homophobic man I ever met. Nothing to do with him, unfortunately.

  3. I hope your dad comes around. I think my dad was also homophobic because that's the era he grew up in. But he was a good person and would have adjusted to one of his children being gay I'd like to think. One of my cousins is lesbian and he treated her and her partner with respect even if he was uncomfortable with the idea.

Anyway you sound happy, so congratulations :)

I am really proud of my father (who is 80 years old). He is not homophobic. He told me "when I was young I was because all people was and we don't really know about it but it's not their choice and I accept them. It could be me who are homosexual. I don't have to hate someone because of it!" :thumb_yello:

  4.

I am very late to answer to this but I will answer anyway, please pardon me  I read that concern Canada and it's good to talk about homophobia at school. Maybe some day all people in the earth will understand and at this moment, the word homophobia will be remove the dictionary because it will have no reason to exist anymore :thumb_yello: Maybe it's an utopia to hope for this but anyway, I hope.

Few weeks ago, I met an interesting man. He wants a girlfriend and I want a boyfriend. But when I talk with him, I notice he was homophobic. All stop at this moment. I will never be his girlfriend. It's better to be alone than to be with someone who have this kind of thinking.:sneaky2:

  5. :blush-anim-cl: Well, it moooooore fun to go there with people than alone, even if there are many people of the MFC at the event... (2 times 3 hours of car, well, may be long to do alone, so, more MFC in the care = more fun!)

Mika music for the travel trip? (don't bring CD's, my car can't read them... i'll have my iPod for that). :mf_rosetinted:

    Mikatravel! :mf_rosetinted:

It's ok. I am certain we will have lots of fun. And it will be a magic night.

  6. Hello everybody!

My name's Yanara and I'm from Chile.

I'm here because the administrator of the Mika Fans Club Concepción ( a town of Chile) talked about this forum.

    Bye bye!

    P.s. I love Mika :teehee:

    Welcome to the MFC

  7. Hi everyone! I just made an account on here the other day, and to be completely honest... This is my first time blogging!:blush-anim-cl:

Soo, if you all would be so kind as to help me find my way around, I'd greatly appreciate it.:wub2:

Welcome to MFC. It's a good place to be :wink2:
