  1. So he did come out? I read some dissapointed tweets which say he didn´t. Glad to hear he did :wink2:

First, a big black van went out from the site. we all thought MIKA was in it and waved. I went to the nearest station to go home and found that I left my purse in locker in the venue. I ran back, and there was MIKA talking to fans! I was lucky. I could hand him a gift. he looked in my eyes and said 'thank you' I will never forget those beautiful eyes:blush-anim-cl:

  2. YAY!!

I'm back, very tired, not sure if the videos will upload during the night.

    He forgot to sing Popular:sneaky2:

    Just to remind him

MIKA PLEASE SING POPULAR IN OSAKA TOMORROW

The crowd was horrendous, it was basically a battle for survival and unbelieveably hot being squished on all sides. Not conducive to relaxing and enjoying the good music when you have to stand on one foot, clothes being almost torn off, one arm trapped above my head, and some girl beside me who kept trying to elbow her way in. And the boy in front of me who didn't dance but bobbed his head wildly from side to side every song made filming a challenge! I felt like tapping him on the shoulder and asking him to just stop it.:aah:

Everyone seemed very happy both before and after the show, we all met up with various MFCers and groups, and then when we went in, everyone was fine until that first note of music then the CRUSH began.

I know Mika was playing songs from his earlier albums to keep Japanese fans happy, but we are all a bit over the Billy Brown/Stuck in the middle era, and were really looking forward to Make you happy/Popular era like in the US tour. I hope tomorrow in Osaka we get a few more from the third album.

And we did get Step with me. And love you when I'm drunk.

And biggest surprise of all, thank you Mika :flowers2: for coming out to meet the fans and sign stuff, talk to people, it's the first time in Japan that he hasn't been whisked away somewhere, and everyone was really grateful he spent the time talking to fans. Thanks for being a good popstar Mika:wub2:

YES I enjoyed the show so much. I loved every moment of it. This was my first MIKA concert, and I was amazed how he brought the crowd together and made us feel we were the part of the show. I can't thank MIKA for coming to Japan! I tried to upload some photos from the concert but couldn't from my iPad. I will try when I get home from my desk top computer.

  3. Hi! Well... I played at VirginRadio's contest on FB and... i'll have an answer tomorrow but i'm sure to be first!!!!!! :biggrin2:

So i won the travel, the hotel, a meeting with Mika and the best to the end : i'll go on the stage with him and he'll give me the price for the best fan! (i never called myself like this. That's VirginRadio's contest :naughty: )

BTW I'm SO SO SO Happy ! I can't believe it! I can't wait to have an email or a call of Virgin Radio to be very sure!

This is the first contest of my life I win! And this is a contest about Mika so i'm more than happy!!!!

I promise, i'll write my BEST report for you!!!!!

ps : sorry if my english is bad but that's late in France :naughty:

WOW! Congratulations!!! Looking forward to your report:thumb_yello:

  4. Thanks for taking your time for me, searching for a japanese city may not be that easy, but it's really enjoyable :flowers2::hug:

BTW, in my last post I forgot to ask for maps and pics of Toyota City in the begining or middle of the 20th century (as I looked for them on google and didn't find anything), if someone else has them and can send to me would be really aprecciated :blush-anim-cl:

no problem. I enjoyed translating your text. I thought finding old maps and pic. are easy, but I found Japanese city governments don't put them on the net. For the city of Tokyo, you can find some though. sorry the ones I sent weren't good... good luck on your report:thumb_yello:

  5. I know, I'm gonna melt !

But I only have vacation in summer :aah:

I have some friends near Tokyo (Shinagawa, Meguro, Hachioji, Fuchu) so I'll probably focus on Tokyo but I'd like to try to go to Kansai as well, it depends on the train fares ;)

You can look into highway night bus lines. It's a lot cheaper than trains. If you have a chance come to Hokuriku! Very different from big cities. Different from Kyoto too:wink2:

  6. Hello!

I'm going Osaka soon.... in December!! Hope the weather is not freezing there... :boing:

Any good food&Restaurant recommend, Osaka Mika fans? :blush-anim-cl:

I have been to Osaka twice in my life, and it is very energetic city. I don't know much about Osaka, but I love their Okonomiyaki, kind of like Japanese pizza. Hope you have a great trip to Osaka:wub2:

  7. I came here to tell you how I found this amazing page on face book

I know this is totally normal for you but I just love how your country looks :wub2:

From your crazy Serbian MFCare friend :naughty:

Thank you so much for letting us know how you like the pictures of Japan:blush-anim-cl:

I live in country side of Japan, and my house is surrounded by rice fields and mountains with snow on the top! Very different view from major cities like Tokyo or Osaka.

It is so nice to know we have a friend who has an interest in our culture and moreover SHE IS A MIKA FAN as we are!

    Thank you so much:huglove:

  8. But you don't restrict your market to one country either. Because if you bring out one bad album, and that doesn't sell well in your best market, that can pretty much finish you, as you could lose ticket sales there, if people don't want to bother seeing you.

You have to be doing well in a few countries, both with record sales and touring, to be able to maintain a momentum. I suppose the exception to the rule is if you do well in high population countries. I have heard of some artists making quite a healthy living from the Japanese market, without doing too great anywhere else.

Also, it's only fair to fans in countries I mention in my last post, as well as ones I haven't, that barely see him at all. That they get a chance to see him too. Maybe if he spent a chunk year touring these places, he may start getting good sales in them. I'm sure he wouldn't sneeze at any money he could gain from them, I know if I was in his shoes, I wouldn't :wink2:

I had waited 27 years for "Tears for Fears", the UK duo from 80's coming back to Japan to do the show. We are quiet but patient, I think. Japan is so far from Europe. Listening to his interviews, I also understand that MIKA wants to write songs, not just touring as he did before. BUT I hope MIKA will come to Japan next year :wub2:

  9. Think a lot of us felt like that when we first arrived :wink2: We're really not that scary when you get to know us :naughty: Welcome again :huglove:

Thank you again. I am feeing like getting lost on this web site now; so much information and threads! But I think I can handle this. I am already having fun. Thank you!

  10. Welcome to the MFC and have a lot of fun here. MFC is very addicting so be careful or you will spend a lot of time on here :wink2: but you will find everything what you want to know here. When you´ve been a teenager in the 80ies, maybe you want to visit us at the Oldlings ( over thirty :wink2:).

Thank you for inviting me to the Oldings. I sure would love to visit! By the way, you are in Germany! My sister in law lives in Dusseldorf with her kids and husband. I am planning to visit them during summer next year.

  11. Welcome Toshiko, I think this is comfortable for me to call you than Annie.. I am actually old, or long-time, MIKA fan but joined MFC just few weeks ago. And what you wrote above is just like I do!!!

Hi, I am Toshiko. You can also call me Annie if it is hard to pronounce my name. I live in Toyama pref. I grew up in Tokyo, and my parents are still in Tokyo. So, if MIKA does a live, I am thinking to go to Tokyo to see! I don't know much about MIKA yet. I am looking forward to seeing around this web site. Nice to meet you.

  13. Hello. My name is Toshiko. Friends from outside Japan call me Annie. I started listening to MIKA about three weeks ago. "Grace Kelly" was on the car radio, and I became curious about MIKA since his singing style reminded me Freddie Mercury a little. I've been a fan of Queen since 80's. I was just a teenager back then. Anyway, so when I came home I searched MIKA on the net. I started listening to his old songs, new songs, interviews, live videos, and so many things. I had to be on the PC working long hours last couple of weeks, so I was always listening MIKA while working. Then I really became to like MIKA. I love his songs but also I love his sincere posture toward his work. It is such a joy to see him on the interview clips, videos talking about new album and live performances on YouTube. So, I've got his first two CDs, and goodness I listen to them all the time. Even my three-year-old daughter can now sing some phrases from lollipop. She doesn't speak English, but she is getting it quite right. Can't wait getting MIKA's new album, Origin of Love. I want to see MIKA's live performance if he is coming to Japan, but I am not sure how I can get the information about it, and I would love to know more about him and his music, so I came to join the Fan Club. Thank you for reading my post:blush-anim-cl:
