  1. As some people are asking for a translation....

Coming home from XF audictions at 3 a.m., Morgan dedicates Ashes to Ashes to Mika.

Welcome to the "No Excuses section", that is there are no excuses. Dedicated to Mika, cause he hates who apologizes, which means who finds justifications.

Here we have a guitar, as you see a string's missing. As you see the subject (meaning himself) has no voice, is tired and will do a very difficult song, but he will make it, without mimic, by the way

I can't know why he's apologizing to Mika, but I suppose it could be about this (I'm copying and pasting from my own report, as I'm lazy) :

Morgan tried to wind him up more than once, but he kept calm and I respect very much this skill of his: he always replies in a pretty calm tone and then apparently doesn't keep any grudge. I don't actually think he always act that way (so not! :teehee: ), especially in a different context, but this is what he does when he's at XF.

    And pasting again:

I think that he can't stand excuses from people who try to justify their mistakes, especially if they are totally missing the point, so he was slighty annoyed here and there...

I thought the same thing, Elwendin. It's a nice gesture

Chi volesse aiutare mi trova in Facebook: Elwendin Lanthir Lamath.

  5. Me and my bad English are back :aah:

How could I write something short to ask for Mika's single? In English :mf_rosetinted:

"please can you boadcast Mika's new single? It's called Boum Boum Boum and it's wonderful!"

I feel my sentence is totally wrong and stupid

And if you feel like giving an example of a sentence in Italian, Spanish and German too, please do :wink2:

That's actually a great question, and I was thinking about the same thing. I could request the song to foreign radios if I knew how to write to them correctly.

  6. I wrote to some italian radios a couple of days ago... here are the details if someone wants to help:

I've just started writing to all of them... Let's hope it works! :thumb_yello::thumb_yello:

  8. But, it's not just about it being released in the UK. The fact is that no one in the UK knows about the song's existence, unless they are clued up with what Mika is doing. Mika isn't appearing on TV here, to promote the song. There is no advertising of the song. I've seen ads where So-and-So's new single will be out whenever, but nothing about Mika.

Also, if the song will be available in English speaking countries, surely they should announce it in English, as well as French. UK will take absolutely no notice of something written in French.

The song could be the best song ever written, but without anyone knowing about it, and no radio play on the big UK Radio stations, it will not be a hit, and Mika really needs a UK hit song.

So I hope it will be advertised, or something. Not only in UK, but other countries too, if its going to be released worldwide.

Is there a way for us to help? I know this may sound extremely naive, but I'm still new here and I'm totally ignorant on these matters, so please bear with me... I am aware that we can't make miracles and that good promotion is a MUST for an artist, but... can we help some way, even just a little bit?

  9. For me it all started with XFactor. As I wrote in my introduction to this forum, I don’t usually listen to the radio, so I wasn’t really aware of who Mika was. Of course I knew the song Grace Kelly, and I liked both Rain and Love Today, but it ended there, for me.

I had no intention whatsoever to watch the last season of XFactor: I had watched all the previous ones, and I had had enough of it. It was the same old story every year, and I had started enjoying the show less and less with every season that was aired.

When I heard that there would be Mika as a judge, I decided to watch the first episode of the auditions because I was curious. I love foreign languages, they’re my biggest passion and I’ve studied some of them for years, so what I really wanted to see was how he was going to speak Italian, that is a pretty difficult language. I have to admit I wasn’t expecting him to be able to communicate so efficiently, and this really impressed me. I also noticed that he’s quite an handsome man, I would be lying if I told you the contrary. I loved watching him interact with Morgan and Elio, and I appreciated almost all his choices during the course of the show.

I guess at some point I found myself becoming more and more curious about him as an artist, and that’s when I started to develop an actual interest in him and his world.

That’s how I started looking for his albums and I discovered songs that are today very dear to me.

Then I heard Toy Boy, read its lyrics, and I was hooked.

  10. Dont want to make any mistake but I guess is not Mika and Chiara's version that won the platinum...is the 2012 version which, I guess...it's Chiara free :fisch:

Are you sure? I thought it was the duet since Chiara tweeted about it with the picture of Mika and her in the studio

    Anyway, that's such great news!
