  1. I'm selling two tickets for the Grenoble gig and one for the Madrid one, let me know if you need it (you can send a PM to my Twitter, @loglady__). ???? Face value or negotiable price.

This is not my lucky week, had to cancel all my trip. So I have two extra tickets for Grenoble and one for Marseille. If you need it, you know what to do. Madrid was sold. ????
  2. Hello ladies and gentlemen! I have a ticket for this festival which would seem really nice, but I have a problem: I don't have a way to reach the place. Is there anyone leaving from Milan or North of Italy who could give me a ride? I would be meeting you at the more convenient location for you and share the expenses. I am a nice trip companion and I don't mess with your car I promise ????

Please let me know if some of you can help me out, otherwise I will have to sell my ticket as soon as possible.

  3. I don't want to leave my house, lol, I just want to be alone and listen to the album again and again. I hope so much everything goes well with promoting it and that as many people as possible will hear about this album because they will love it.

I am into the tunnel too, so obsessed with it at the moment that I had to throw away my earphones to be able to work a bit ????

Sure I will be nagging people to make them listen ????

  4. Is it finally out? Are we confidently sure?

I really like it! Classy pop record, pure and simple, in the best sense of the word, lovely piano tracks, lyrics more relatable and direct than ever. Also the use of the vocal range is impressive, going from a softer tone to a rough one back and forth, from the lowest low notes to the highest high ones more easily than a roller coaster. ????

My personal favourites are - in rigorously maniacal order - Good Wife (genius), Last Party, No Place In Heaven, Hurts, Ordinary Man, Oh Girl You're the Devil, Everything (okay not really). Rio could have been written by Paul Simon and Promiseland is basically Mika goes Britney (bitch). ???? All in all everything is very enjoyable and I hope it'll grow on me, the premises are goood.

  5. There will be lots of new pics of Mika in the header and new ones can be easily added so we will update it regularly. :thumb_yello:

The regular version of the site will already be quite mobile friendly. For example you will be able to scroll through the pics of Mika in the header by swiping.

I see we take the Mika-pic-in-the-header issue very seriously here, as it must be. :grandma: Good job mods.

  6. OMG this sudden news! I must start writing my list of complaints immediately, I need to be prepared!

(Mobile version at last though :pbjt:)

Also, i never liked that tone of purple very much :aah: (well, I kinda like it but in small doses) And i was tired of seeing that 2009 Mika pic everytime, but I know I'm the only one out here :naughty:

    I feel you pal :itsok:

  7. I have a few questions for planning my trip, maybe someone here can help me? How long does the tram from the venue run in the evening, is it possible to get away there late at night? Apparently there's only one (pretty expensive) hotel in walking distance... and how do i best get from malpensa airport to the venue (or into milan), and how long does it take?

Hi Karin, let's see what info I may provide you with...:aah:

As for the transfer from Malpensa to Milan, there's either a train going to Cadorna Station (it takes 30 minutes) and to Central Station (52 minutes) or a bus arriving to Central Station in 1 hour.

About the transport from and to the venue, unfortunately there's no metro station nearby but only a tram line, 27, and the nearest stop to the venue is Mecenate/Fantoli. The current timetables are

    http://orari.atm-mi.it/27_12832.pdf

But as they may change over the next months, it might be a good idea to check again later on http://www.atm.it/it/Giromilano/Pagine/default.aspx?lvid=570fc317-f735-4722-902716a42b0d6316-552d7cc9&wbt=nav&contextname=570fc317-f735-4722-902716a42b0d6316-552d7cc9&vp=345&lst=1&lsi=29#

About the queueing, I really have no idea how it'll be, I am actually wondering the same :dunno:

Hope this can be helpful, if you need any more information please ask.

  8. i can't listen to the song now to confirm, but if i remember correctly

    it's something like

    Smash the chandeliers to smithereens

I have a few little corrections in bold below, but basically I agree with you on these lyrics. :original: I'm up in the air on the hear/here question too, as either way could make sense, but I'm leaning toward "hear". Also, at first I thought the mercury reference was to how the mercury in a thermometer rises when the temperature gets hot. But it *could* also be referring to the planet Mercury, since it often rises early in the morning -- he could be saying "who knew morning/the end of the party would come so soon?" But either way, it is definitely "rise" not "ride."

Thank you for your precious native-speaker corrections girls! I edited the first post.

I was impressed with him mentioning Mercury, because I interpreted it as a reference to the Roman god who runs on his winged feet. Hence why I thought the song said "ride". :dunno:

  9. Me, Melyssa and DerMoment are really digging this new song and thought it would be nice to get the lyrics.

There's a party going on in here

It's been happening for many years

You weren't invited and don't want to stay

    But keep partying anyway

    DJ's playing the familiar tune

Got them dancing, shaking up the room

They hear the beat but they don't know the words

This is the saddest song I've ever heard

If you could look into the future, would ya?

if you could see it, would you even want to?

Got a feeling that there's bad news coming

But I don't want to find it out

If it's the end of the world let's party

Like it's the end of the world let's party

    Wrap your arms around everybody

If we're all gonna die let's party

    Let's party

    Let's party

Who can I blame with everything I've done

Is this the price we pay for too much fun

Don't be misled it's not a twist of fate

It's just what happens when you stay out late

So raise your glasses all my kings and queens

    Smash the chandelier to smithereens

Who knew that mercury could rise so fast

Enjoy the party 'cause this is our last

If you could look into the future, would ya?

And even if it all goes bad

It was the best time we ever had

  10. Wow. Thank you all for your reports, you managed to convey the magic and the perfection of this show to us who couldn't be there. I'm happy for him to have the chance of playing in such a venue, with such a massive array of musicians and beautiful arrangements. He deserves it and some of his songs seem to be meant for it. I figured he would be very nervous but I'm glad it went so well eventually. It must have been a really emotional experience for him and for you too. Enjoy the next shows as well, ladies, and have a great time together. My thought is often with you these days :)
