Are they? I don't know...
Yeah, I mean thats how they are used in most pop songs and music videos. I assumed mika would make a similar reference since he's been talking about how desexualized pop music has become and his wish to be more sensual etc.

I can't make a connection though.
Cherries are considered a sex symbol no?

It really fits Sanremo in my opinion but it's less great on songs like Tiny Love.
Yeah and I think it fits because Sanremo is modern in songwritting too.

reading the lyrics it sounds almost... Immature? Something about a 36 year old man singing about texting and emojis just rubs me the wrong way.
Haha yes.
'Who gives a s**t about tomorrow' is the line that really throws me off though, it doesnt sound liberating or whatever just ... vacuous and teenage angsty.

True, but this time I find that he got much more influence for some songs from other singers
Its his vocal styling thats a bit imitative of other artists no? And the rather unoriginal themes/song structures that seems overdone, even by himself.

I agree with @mellody. Don't forget that this song was written for the tv serie of one of his friends. I really don't think he would be so explicit when he knows that this song will be strongly connected with the tv program.
Maybe he wants the song to have a broader audience.

The music video doesnt seem that personal or autobiographical to me, it just looks like its portraying a toxic/weird romantic relationship; as for the song I assumed it is about his mom/family
