  1. Hello everybody! It's been a while since I last wrote here on mfc, and I'm glad to be back :blush-anim-cl:

It was such a pleasure to meet some of you in real life and I have to thank you all for your kindness :fangurl: a special thank to Chriss and Nicole - ? - (I'm very bad

at remembering names and there were two people with the same one :sweatdrop:) that welcomed me when I lost my group despite we never met before)

I really enjoyed my first time at The Voice and loved the performances, even if not all my favourites will be there next week. Obv my phone died exactly when Mika came out, so no photos or stuff but I could see him and even wave at him once during the recordings :fisch: The talents were so kind too after the show! I only exchanged very few words with Leona Winter because...I don't know, I feel like I'm rude to bother them after the show, whithout knowing them and not knowing what to say (same with Mika) :baghead: but that's my problem and they were so cute, they talked and took photos with people so yes, I'm a :donkey:

I'm not good at writing reports, so I'll end saying that everybody had very cool shoes as I was standing where Nikos interviewed people after every song and that's what I saw most of the time :lmfao:

(like ... i made a statue , commissioned a plush, made merch (buttons/ charms /t-shirt)  of julian ...) i can show it here if you wanna ??

I think you can if you want to, it's your own thread and part of your introduction afterall :thumb_yello:

    I can ??? i guess yeah ... it's just not the same thing saying something to someone by message and saying it to them directly ! ;; but considering i had a lot of luck today and the future in uncertain, that's probably a good idea ;;

    OOh good good ! thank you for the suggestion ! might do that ;;;

    thank you<3

Yeah, I see what you mean, it's not the same, you can't see how he reacts or know his opinion on that but this way you'll be sure he will read it at some point :naughty:

Here you can find the address

  4. I was about to tell you that I think it's difficult to see him but gosh, that was fast :lmfao: (or maybe I'm just late :fisch:)

Anyway, maybe you'd better write him a letter if you want to explain all your work in the best way, as when in public I'm afraid it would be difficult to have a quiet moment for that. I mean, personally I'd be unable to speak and explain my concept properly and I'd be really mad at me after having screwed it up  (you can find his fan mail address somewhere in the forum 📧)

Welcome here and enjoy Mika's world, I like it when artists inspire others :thumb_yello:

What I've wanted was specifically for someone to write a journalistic, almost academic essay about Casa Mika and all it means to people, so that's the perspective I wrote it from - a sort of neutral journalistic perspective and as if I was talking to an audience who had no idea who Mika was.

I really enjoyed reading it and mostly because it's written that way - as an academic essay, and a good one. I read many bad journal articles lately that it was a pleasure reading such a good piece of paper despite its length.

I also loved your will to explain who Mika is to an hypothetical unaware audience in a neutral way - it's not easy being objective when you love something (talking in general), but it's important when you're not specifically talking to someone who share your love.

I'm very busy atm and I don't log here on MFC every day, but I read your article after several groups shared it. Then I shared it on socials too, even if I am "late", because it's really worth reading :wink2: I agree with what other ppl already said, Mika should read it and I'm sure he would really appreciate it :blush-anim-cl:

I'm just working on the mika encyclopedia and have just a couple quick questions...

was this cover shown on tv in the episode, or in la suite?

also, what ever happened to the guest coaches? Like, Mika had Kylie one year, and Fanny Ardant another year. Did he have anybody this year and last year? Do they not do that anymore?

No guest coaches since I watch The Voice Fr (season 5)

And as Eriko said, this was not shown on tv, it was an extra from TF1 site :thumb_yello:

Sorry, I know, I'm late for this, but I don't think Frédéric would have won anyway, it was already decided that it was Maelle the winner, especially after the duel with Gulaan (another great professional singer. I liked him a lot) and the pressure for a girl to win.

And I don’t think it's a problem of  appearance,  in fact the week before the public had voted for him,  but it was for the choice of the songs and the very good interpretation and performance of Casanova on “Kid” by Eddy de Pretto, with a modern and deep meaning text, remarked by Mika and all the coaches. In my opinion Casanova absolutely deserved to go to the final. He already had the talent and the voice, a great potential to bring out, and Mika was able to make sure that he could express this capability interpreting the songs in the right way, leaving aside his shyness. Mika had confidence in Casanova and he followed all his advice and improved in every live show, working very hard. An excellent job.

I liked and like very much Frédéric, but he is already a great and amazing artist, a  professional with 40 years of career: he’s a singing teacher in a school of musical comedy in Paris, he is an actor in numerous TV series and films, and a lyrical and operetta singer. In addition, after the broadcasting of the blind auditions, he was shooting a film (http://www.lunion.fr/75187/article/2018-02-11/un-candidat-de-voice-en-tournage-reims# ) and, as Nikos said in the final, he was already offered a record contract, so he didn’t need to go to the final. Now, thanks also to Mika who brought him to The Voice's live shows, showing his huge talent, he's much more popular with the average public and that's very, very good for him :thumb_yello:.  I hope that even Casanova has some record company that take an interest in him, because he deserves it.

I agree with what you said about Casanova and Frédéric, in fact I said it was better that way (for both) :wink2: it was just a REALLY GENERAL reflection, not only The Voice or France related, but I know I'm not able to explain what I mean, so forgive me.

I don't think that the winner was already decided instead, but don't want to start a debate on this :stifle:

So what about this gig in Milan that he announced on Twitter and Facebook? Does anyone know if it's a full Mika gig or just a few songs? "Free entry, first come first serve" sounds nerve-wrecking tho, and like a loooooong queueing day.

    4 minutes ago, krysady said:

Not a full gig, I think, there will be 21 artists performing that day

Someone told me that it's usually 2/3 songs from each artist (this event takes place every year :thumb_yello:)

It was obvious right from the beginning that Frederic was Mika's fave (well having him jumping in the middle of the street shouting how much he luuuuuuuved Frederic and how much he wanted him to win was a good clue anyway 😂

    :roll1:

I would have loved Frédéric to win, both because he was very good (I loved him) and mostly to prove you don't have to be young and good looking to succeed. It would have been such a strong message in a society where appearance seem to be more important than everything (speaking general, not referring to France or any particular place). Anyway I was happy for Casanova, he needed Mika's help more than Fred and took advantage of it :thumb_yello:

I agree with you, I LOVED their duet, I did not know the song nor the film before but it was so funny and well done!

And loved Mika dancing on that and on Kendji's duet :das:

How sweet from that guy to tell those things not being fan. He hit the spot, and I think we all love Mika fot that too :wub2:

Bonus: Mika dancing moment :teehee: (vid because I can't make good gifs)

I don't think so. I was talking with a friend about Raffi Arto's performances, and we discussed about the fact that, even if Raffi is a great singer and performer, his exhibitions appeared all the same. It seemed like Raffi sang  the same kind of songs all the time, (escluding the duet with Kendji).

Also Florent didn't even try to spur him to break some new ground, in contrast to what Mika did; this make me appreciate Mika's coaching even more.

As Mika said, Casanova changed during the 4 weeks, we discovered a "new" Casanova  every week. Mika forced him to change because Casanova had a possibility to stay in the spotlight NOW, he had not to waste time, he had to try to  prove to people he's not normal as people thought before.

Then ok, we can talk about the fact that Casanova did not  always seem confortable during his performances, but at least he tried, and  I appreciate that.

I agree with you. It's a pity Florent didn't do the same for Raffi, as he proved he actually CAN sing other kind of songs, like he did in his duet with Kendji. Nothing to add to what you said about Mika as a coach; even when in the duet he did something wrong (they talked about the timing ?) he could have pretended all was well, but he didn't, and I think it was for Casanova, to reassure him and re-start together with the right tempo :lmfao:as some of you said, Casanova is not a professional so he can have troubles improvising, that's why I think Mika stopped for him :blush-anim-cl:
