    Mika, whose real name is Michael Holbrook Penniman, Junior, born August 18, 1983, is a British-Lebanese pop singer and songwriter. He is under contract with record companies Casablanca Records and Universal Music.

    His first album Life in Cartoon Motion is certified diamond disc in France with more than 1 400 000 copies sold and is, in France, the best-selling album in 2007. Worldwide, more than 19.85 million were sold. His second album, The Boy Who Knew Too Much, sold nearly 400,000 copies in France. This album allowed him to receive the triple platinum disc at a concert in Bercy. In July 2011, he released the single Elle me dit, sung in French, a first for him.

    In September 2012, he made his comeback with a third album entitled The Origin of Love, an album of which he sang some songs during his festival tours in 2011 and 2012. At the beginning of October 2012, the album was certified platinum in France.

    In June 2015, No Place in Heaven, his fourth album, is released, with four tracks in French. This album is said to be more intimist because Mika was on all sides to create it. In January 2016, he is certified platinum disc in France, and platinum disc in Italy in August.

    Mika joins the jury of The Voice for the third French season broadcast in early 2014, where he replaces Louis Bertignac.

    Ce soir, TF1 propose les demi-finales de son concours de chant produit par ITV Studios France.
     

    Aux portes de la finale ! Ce soir, les huit derniers talents de la saison 7 de "The Voice" vont s'affronter sur TF1 pour empocher un billet pour l'ultime prime la semaine prochaine. En lice ce samedi : Raffi Arto et Yasmine Ammari de l'équipe de Florent Pagny, B. Demi-Mondaine et Maëlle de l'équipe de Zazie, Frédéric Longbois et Casanova de l'équipe de Mika, et Ecco et Xam Hurricane de l'équipe de Pascal Obispo. Pour ces demi-finales, les quatre coachs n'auront plus le pouvoir de sauver un candidat. Seul le vote du public comptera.     21h06. C'est parti pour la demi-finale de "The Voice" 2018 ! La soirée s'ouvre avec l'équipe de Florent Pagny ! Pour lancer cette avant-dernière soirée Raffi Arto reprend "J'irai où tu iras" de Jean-Jacques Goldman et Celine Dion. Enfin une chanson qui n'est pas un rock des années 60 et 70. "Il est de plus en plus là. Il le fait de mieux en mieux. A chaque direct... Ses répétitions, il est toujours un peu timide. Et dès qu'il y a le public, il est dans son élément. Il est à l'aise. C'est beau de voir ce qu'il fait. Démarrer l'émission et faire le feu tout de suite, bravo", démarre Pagny. "Avant qu'il chante, j'ai demandé à Pagny son âge, 16 ans ! Tu as évolué énormément, je pense que ce n'est que le début", enchaîne Mika.

    21h17. Au tour de l'autre demi-finaliste de Florent Pagny, Yasmine Ammari ! La chanteuse algérienne interprète "Historia De Un Amor" de Luz Casal, un titre mêlant l'arabe et l'espagnol. "Elle a envoûté le plateau", glisse Nikos Aliagas. "Elle a la capacité de passer d'une voix à l'autre, à chaque fois elle fait les mix. Ca lui permet de ne pas être dans la démonstration, elle va chercher la profondeur. C'est encore plus fort", félicite Pagny. "On est charmé à chaque fois. Quelle chanteuse, incroyable. Elle donne envie d'écrire des chansons. Elle a une palette incroyable. C'est normal qu'elle soit là !", suit Obispo.

    21h26. Maintenant, les deux candidats de Florent Pagny proposent une chanson en duo. Raffi Arto et Yasmine Ammari chantent "Katchi" d'Ofenbach vs. Nick Waterhouse.

    21h39. Les votes sont clos. Le public a désigné le premier finaliste de la soirée. C'est Raffi Arto qui est qualifié pour le dernier prime de "The Voice" la semaine prochaine. "Merci à tous, ça me fait super plaisir. Je voulais passer un bonjour à une princesse qui lutte contre la leucémie", lance le finaliste. "Je voudrais remercier 'The Voice' de m'avoir permis cette magnifique expérience. Merci aux coachs. Merci aux Français qui ont voté pour moi. Je ne regrette rien", ajoute Yasmine Ammari.

    21h42. Nouveau choc de la soirée made in Pascal Obispo. Ecco se présente sur la scène ce soir de "The Voice" pour reprendre "Rolling In The Deep" d'Adele. "C'est une petite finale. Elle vient de montrer quelque chose de nouveau. Elle a encore progressé. Elle a pété le cadre. Je ne m'attendais pas à ça", concède Obispo. "C'est Adele qui chante cette chanson. Pour chanter cette chanson, il faut un talent exceptionnel. Tu ne t'es pas laissé mouvoir par le sable", suit Zazie.

    21h49. On enchaîne directement avec Xam Hurricane. Le jeune talent de l'équipe de Pascal Obispo veut impressionner son coach et les téléspectateurs avec "Et maintenant" de Gilbert Bécaud. "Il la chante comme ça en pensant que c'est terminé. Quoiqu'il arrive, il voulait remercier avec quelque chose qui était lui. C'est Xam. Il voulait être lui", explique Obispo. "Avec ça, je ne crois pas qu'il va partir ! C'est tellement réfléchi. Tu es conscient de ce que tu fais. Tu n'es pas bête ! Tu as un certain regard, tu danses. Ca commence bien construit et réfléchi, puis tu laisses la place à la folie. Ca devient intéressant, tu deviens fou et on ne sait pas ce que tu vas faire", ajoute Mika. "Il dépasse les interprétations. Il incarne les chansons", glisse Pagny.

    21h58. Les deux talents vont se mesurer en reprenant un succès de Pascal Obispo, "Mourir demain". Un très joli duo !

    22h12. Le public a voté ! "Ecco ou Xam ? Il n'y aura qu'un seul finaliste dans l'équipe de Pascal et son nom est Xam Hurricane", annonce Nikos Aliagas.

    22h14. Pas de commentaires des coachs, ni des talents. Place à l'équipe de Zazie, avec en première candidate, la tornade B. Demi-Mondaine. Le talent interprète à sa manier "The Show Must Go On" de Queen. "C'est extrêmement compliqué à chanter. Il y a du lourd, du dense, de tous les côtés. Hier, elle a voulu changer de chanson en panique, car c'est un monument. Grace à son coach technique, elle arrive au cours de l'expérience 'The Voice' à avoir une voix plus haut placée. Elle ose le faire ! Bravo, tu as bien fait", commente Zazie. "Toujours la même aventure avec Demi-Mondaine, elle amène un monument dans son monde. T'es vraiment trop forte", lâche Pagny.

    22h24. Face à elle, Maëlle tente sa chance en reprenant le titre de France Gall et repris par Johnny Hallyday, "Diego". "Elle a insisté pour cette chanson. C'est une chanson qui parle d'injustice, de la chance d'un artiste d'être dans la lumière. C'est son choix. A 17 ans l'âge de l'insouciance, choisir ça, c'est comprendre avec humilité, le rôle d'un artiste. On peut le chanter. On peut chanter pour tout le monde", apprécie Zazie. "Je pense qu'il y a une sorte de chose vraiment spéciale, une inconscience. Chez toi, ce n'est pas calculé. C'était très dur pour toi. Avec le contrôle de ta voix. Il y avait toujours cette lumière et cette prise de risque que l'on retrouve chez les talents qui ont ton âge. Tu prends des risques, c'est ça qui forme des carrières", suit Mika.

    22h34. B. Demi-Mondaine et Maëlle débarquent désormais sur la scène de l'émission de chant de TF1 avec la chanson "I Put A Spell On You" de Nina Simone.

    22h44. De retour de la publicité et avant l'annonce des résultats, Pascal Obispo interprète "Chante la rue, chante" son titre inédit, en exclusivité pour "The Voice". "On continue la compétition ! Zazie, vous êtes prête ? Voici deux jeunes femmes qui disputent une place en finale. Le public a fait son choix. Le talent qualifié pour la finale est mademoiselle Maëlle. Elle ne laisse personne indifférent", lance Nikos Aliagas, qui annonce que B. Demi-Mondaine rejoint une troupe de comédie musicale sur le couturier Jean-Paul Gaultier. "Cette femme qui représente beaucoup... Je suis extrêmement fière de toutes les deux. C'est compliqué pour tous les coachs... pour tous les talents", se trompe Zazie. "Elles nous ont livré un show exceptionnel. Et on va saluer les musiciens mes copains", enchaîne Obispo.

    22h54. Dernière équipe de la soirée, celle de Mika ! Tout commence avec le trublion Frédéric Longbois ! Le chanteur décide de chanter le titre d'opéra de Luciano Pavarotti, "Nessun Dorma", dans une version française. "C'était un choix très osé et très risqué. Mais cela dit, quand il monte sur la scène, on commence à oublier les origines de l'histoire de Frédéric Longbois. Il y a une intention. Il a voulu chanter toute sa vie. Il a 54 ans. Chaque semaine, il nous a étonnés d'une manière ou d'une autre, c'est rare", confie Mika. "A la fin, ça claque toujours et il l'a fait claquer", ajoute Pagny.

    23h03. Le dernier talent de la soirée prend place. Casanova affronte Frédéric Longbois avec le titre "Kid" d'Eddy de Pretto. "C'est un truc de dingue. J'ai la chair de poule ! De temps en temps, je peux être un peu con. Avec Casanova, je me dis que ça va aller. A chaque fois que tu montes sur la scène, tu ne peux pas être banale. Et bah, tu n'étais pas banale", lance Mika. "Il y a tellement de couleurs chez toi. Il n'y a pas de défauts chez toi. Il y a le pompier et il y a cette chanson géniale. Elle dit encore quelque chose de moins lisse. Bravo à toi le petit danseur", souligne Zazie.

    23h11. L'ultime duo de la soirée entre Casanova et Frédéric Longbois se réalise sur le morceau "La Carioca" ! Un tandem très original ! "Ce n'était pas ton registre", adore Pagny. "On était dans un humour. On a presque oublié la compétition !", suit Nikos Aliagas.

    23h23. On passe à "The Voice, la suite", sans le dernier résultat. Et... toujours rien. Le programme lance un magnéto sur Louane, suivi d'une prestation de l'ex-candidate de l'émission. L'issue du vote se fait attendre...

    23h29. ENFIN ! On va avoir les résultats du dernier duel de cette demi-finale. "C'est le public qui a tranché. Ça a été très serré. Je ne sais jamais le résultat avant de le découvrir dans l'enveloppe. Pour cette demi-finale, vous avez désigné en finaliste de Mika, Casanova", annonce Nikos Aliagas, à la surprise générale.

     

    Débrief de la quinzième soirée de la saison 7 de "The Voice" :

    - Le format de vote est un peu lourd dans l'émission. Etant donné que les éliminés se font au fur et à mesure des équipes, la chaîne rediffuse à de nombreuses reprises les prestations des talents... Parfois à l'excès ! Ça tire un peu à la longue... Même s'il est évident que c'est pour inciter le téléspectateur à voter.
    - Un très bon Xam Hurricane ce soir. Très bonne idée sa reprise, à sa manière, du titre de Gilbert Bécaud, "Et maintenant". Et quel duo avec Ecco sur la chanson "Mourir demain". Sa qualification en finale n'était pas du tout une surprise.
    - Très sympa la reprise de "La Carioca" par Frédéric Longbois et Casanova, de l'équipe de Mika. Autant on était habitué à la folie du premier, autant le second a surpris par sa dérision. Une séquence qui laisse le sourire.
    - Par contre, pour quelles raisons le dernier candidat sélectionné pour la finale a été donné si tard dans "The Voice, la suite" ? On a eu le droit à un reportage sur Louane, avant d'avoir le nom du dernier talent de l'équipe Mika. Un moyen de gonfler les audiences de l'after ? En tout cas, ça rallonge l'émission pour rien.
    - Grosse surprise avec la qualification de Casanova. Son parcours est atypique ! Non retenu lors d'une précédente saison, il a séduit Zazie lors des auditions à l'aveugle. Evincé par cette dernière, il est repêché par Mika. Il échoue face à Mennel lors des duels. Après la polémique de cette dernière, il enchaîne les primes et se qualifie pour la finale.

    21h06. Let's go for the semi-final of "The Voice" 2018! The evening opens with Florent Pagny's team! To launch this penultimate evening, Raffi Arto covers "J'irai où tu iras" by Jean-Jacques Goldman and Celine Dion. Finally a song that is not a rock from the 60s and 70s. "He's more and more here. He's getting better at it. To each live... His rehearsals, he's always a little shy. And as soon as there's the audience, he's in his element. He's comfortable. It's nice to see what he's doing. Start the show and make the fire right away, bravo", Pagny starts. "Before he sang, I asked Pagny his age, 16! You've evolved a lot, I think that's just the beginning," Mika continues.
    21h17. Florent Pagny's other semifinalist, Yasmine Ammari! The Algerian singer performs "Historia De Un Amor" by Luz Casal, a track mixing Arabic and Spanish. "She bewitched the set," says Nikos Aliagas. "She has the ability to switch from one voice to the other, each time she does the mixes. It allows her not to be in the demonstration, she will seek depth. It's even stronger," congratulates Pagny. "We're charmed every time. What a singer, incredible. She makes you want to write songs. She has an incredible palette. It's normal that she's here!"Obispo follows.

    21h26. Now, Florent Pagny's two candidates propose a duet song. Raffi Arto and Yasmine Ammari sing Ofenbach vs. Nick Waterhouse.

    21h39. The votes are closed. The audience has chosen the first finalist of the evening. Raffi Arto is qualified for the final bonus of "The Voice" next week. "Thank you all, it makes me so happy. I wanted to say hello to a princess fighting leukaemia," says the finalist. "I would like to thank The Voice for allowing me this wonderful experience. Thanks to the coaches. Thank you to the French who voted for me. I don't regret anything," adds Yasmine Ammari.

    21h42. New shock of the evening made in Pascal Obispo. Ecco appears on stage tonight on "The Voice" to cover "Rolling In The Deep" by Adele. "It's a small final. She just showed something new. She's made further progress. She broke the frame. I wasn't expecting this," Obispo concedes. "It's Adele singing this song. To sing this song, you need exceptional talent. You didn't let the sand move you," follows Zazie.

    21h49. We go straight to Xam Hurricane. The young talent of Pascal Obispo's team wants to impress his coach and viewers with "Et maintenant" by Gilbert Bécaud. "He sings it like that thinking it's over. Whatever happened, he wanted to thank with something that was him. It's Xam. He wanted to be him," Obispo explains. "With that, I don't think he's gonna leave! It's so thoughtful. You know what you're doing. You're not stupid! You have a certain look, you dance. It starts well built and well thought out, then you leave the place to madness. It gets interesting, you go crazy and we don't know what you're going to do," adds Mika. "He goes beyond interpretations. He embodies the songs," says Pagny.

    21h58. The two talents will measure themselves by taking up a success of Pascal Obispo, "Mourir demain". A very nice duo!

    22h12. The public voted! "Ecco or Xam? There will only be one finalist in Pascal's team and his name is Xam Hurricane", announces Nikos Aliagas.

    22h14. No comments from coaches or talents. Zazie's team, with the tornado B. Demi-Mondaine as first candidate. The talent interprets Queen's "The Show Must Go On". "It's extremely complicated to sing. There's heavy, dense, all around. Yesterday, she wanted to change the song in panic, because it's a monument. Thanks to her technical coach, she manages during the'The Voice' experience to have a higher voice. She dares to do it! Bravo, you did well," says Zazie. "Always the same adventure with Demi-Mondaine, she brings a monument into her world. You're really too strong," Pagny says.

    22h24. Facing her, Maëlle tried her luck by taking back the title of France Gall and covered by Johnny Hallyday, "Diego". "She insisted on this song. It's a song about injustice, about an artist's luck to be in the light. It's his choice. At 17 years the age of carelessness, to choose this is to understand with humility, the role of an artist. We can sing it. We can sing for everyone," Zazie says. "I think there's a really special kind of thing, an unconsciousness. In your house, it's not calculated. It was very hard for you.     22h34. B. Demi-Mondaine and Maëlle now appear on the stage of TF1's singing show with Nina Simone's song "I Put A Spell On You".

    22h44. Back from the publicity and before the announcement of the results, Pascal Obispo interprets "Chante la rue, chante", his original title, exclusively for "The Voice". "We continue the competition! Zazie, are you ready? Here are two young women competing for a spot in the final. The public has made their choice. The talent qualified for the final is Miss Maëlle. She leaves no one indifferent," says Nikos Aliagas, who announces that B. Demi-Mondaine joins a musical comedy troupe about couturier Jean-Paul Gaultier. "This woman who represents a lot..." I'm extremely proud of both of you. It's complicated for all coaches... for all talents," Zazie is wrong. "They gave us an exceptional show. And we're going to greet the musicians my friends," Obispo continues.

    22h54. Last team of the evening, Mika's! It all starts with the troublemaker Frédéric Longbois! The singer decides to sing Luciano Pavarotti's opera title, "Nessun Dorma", in a French version. "It was a very bold and risky choice. But that said, when he gets on stage, we start to forget the origins of Frédéric Longbois' story. There is an intention. He wanted to sing all his life.     23h11. The ultimate duet of the evening between Casanova and Frédéric Longbois is realized on the track "La Carioca" ! A very original tandem! "That wasn't your ledger," Pagny loves. "We were in a humor. We almost forgot the competition!"Nikos Aliagas follows.

    23h23. We go to "The Voice, la suite", without the last result. And... still nothing. The program launches a tape recorder on Louane, followed by a performance by the program's former candidate. The outcome of the vote is still pending...

    23h29. ENFIN ! We're gonna get the results of the last duel of this semifinal. "It was the public that decided. It was very tight. I never know the result until I find it in the envelope. For this semi-final, you nominated Casanova as Mika's finalist," said Nikos Aliagas, to everyone's surprise.

     

    Debrief of the fifteenth evening of season 7 of "The Voice" :

    The voting format is a bit heavy in the program. Since the teams are eliminated as they go along, the channel repeats many times the performances of the talents... Sometimes to excess! It draws a little in the long run... Even if it is obvious that it is to encourage the viewer to vote.
    A very good Xam Hurricane tonight. Very good idea his cover, in his own way, of Gilbert Bécaud's title, "Et maintenant". And what a duet with Ecco on the song "Mourir demain". His qualification for the final was no surprise at all.
    Very nice the cover of "La Carioca" by Frédéric Longbois and Casanova, from Mika's team. As much as we were used to the madness of the first, so much the second surprised by his derision. A sequence that leaves a smile on your face.
    On the other hand, why was the last candidate selected for the final given so late in "The Voice, the sequel"? We got a report on Louane, before we got the name of Mika's latest talent. A way to inflate the after-party audiences? Anyway, it makes the show longer for nothing.
    Big surprise with the qualification of Casanova. His journey is atypical! Not retained during a previous season, he seduced Zazie during the blind auditions. Evicted by the latter, he was rescued by Mika. He fails Mennel in the duels. After the polemic of the latter, he went on to win bonuses and qualified for the final.
