  1. I'll be arriving at Gatwick on Monday around noon. Because of the tube strike, I've decided to switch hotel and stay in the Hammersmith area instead.

I've booked a pick up service from the airport to my  accommodation (6 min walk from the venue according to google). It's paid and the price is the same for me alone or if I take more people (up to 3 more with cabin sized luggage).

So, if anyone needs a ride to Hammersmith let me know so we can organize it.

Also, since @BeccaStardust can't go after all. If anyone (with tolerant ears:lol3:) would like a seat, let me know, too!

Yayyyyy!!! We are so close :'D

@dcdeb I never managed to read what you responded to me in the previous topic, so I'll leave a new reminder that you have my hand if any help is needed regarding the party!

(and also that I'm looking for lonely souls like myself to attend both the party and the concert! I'm a Spanish 29 year old ♥)

👋 Nellie, I’m also going solo and don’t know anyone either. I’ll be happy to keep you company 😊 but don’t worry, I’ve been to many concerts alone and I can guarantee  you will never feel “lonely”  in a Mika show 😉.

I look forward to meet u.

I've just found out I have the 10th off work so if there's tickets available I might be able to go since I could go straight after work then stay overnight

    (I know I haven't been active here in a while )

It seems I'll be going alone (people keep cancelling on me.. now the transport strike is an issue.. but I really want to go!). So, I have a seated ticket next to me in the circle (block 8 3rd row) if you want it. Just beware: I'm a terrible singer and I don't know the french songs :drunk_sing:

  4. I too think the photobook it’s going to be fantastic and a great insight to Mika’s process. I can’t wait to see it.

@NaoMika you should totally read Nights at the 🎪! It’s a masterpiece. It’s a bit extreme and trippy but it’s wonderful, really.

I first read it like 15 years ago because Mika mentioned Carter’s 📚 a lot in quite a few interviews early in his career (but I can’t remember where or when.. maybe someone knows here) and I got that and “the magic toyshop” plus a collection of re worked fairy tales and loved them all.

But later during the pandemic I reread Nights at the Circus as part of a course in feminism literature and got to enjoy it even more. Please, get it. I’m sure you’re going to love it (feel free to DM if you want to discuss it afterwards).

  5. Hello,

Well, I'm no ticket :fairy: but I can no longer make it to Bercy and I don't want my tickets to go unused.. so, I'm giving them away.

I have good Carre Or seats available for free. I'll give 5 days to reply and select randomly on March 5th.

If you are a:  Student /  Unemployed / LGBTQ / Refugee  or Person who has never been to a MIKA gig,  just say so.

If you're not any of the above but still would like to be considered, you can make a donation (any amount) to any charity of your choice that supports the current efforts in Palestine and post a capture/photo of the letter (but cover the personal data please).

A donation made since January would also count. :thumb_yello:

    Good luck.

P.S. I'm useless regarding forum stuff and I'm not sure where to post this so, I'll rely on the moderators to move it wherever it's appropriate or even delete it, in case it's not allowed.:sorry:

  6. Hello,

Due to unforseen circumstances, I'm no longer going to this event. It breaks my heart because  I'd finished my flowers yesterday.

I don't want the tickets to go unused (I just can't stand empty seats).  So, I'm giving them away.

I have 2 nice seats in bloc 207 (cat 1) for anyone who wants them and is sure to attend with such a short notice (so, probably Bordeux locals or within reasonable travelling distance).

Please let me know. If you are:  Student /  Unemployed / LGBT / Refugee  or have never been to a MIKA gig. As I'll take that into account in case there's more than one person interested.

  7. Wow! :lustslow:  Thank you so much for sharing!!

I didn't want to know about the show beforehand. I've never been into social media or the internet stuff so I usually go in blank and get surprised.

However, this forum makes it difficult not to peek. I was trying to be good but since I won't be able to attend the show this weekend (and I'll probably have to skip Paris and Berlin too :emot-sad:), I just couldn't resist!!

It's one thing to wait a week.. a whole month is a different story..

It all looks great! and I'm just excited because I know pictures won't make it justice. (OMG Those costumes:jawdrop:).

  8. Hi!

Best of luck this weekend! :lepre: I hope you get a chance to greet Mika if he comes out after the gig.

Unfortunately, there's no turning back, you'll be in the rabbit hole for a looong time haha. Mika's music has that healing effect on all our souls.

I'm pretty sure that your wife will end up joining you in the mikaverse sooner or later.

I don't think he performed in this castle before... do you mean the gig in Vigevano in 2012? It's near Milan and it was in a castle too, looks similar but I think this one's smaller. And yes, we definitely had a mosquito problem there, lol! 😅

Oh right.. Vigevano!   my bad.

I flew to and from Milan for that gig and I remembered the venue was a castle with a museum  called

"Sforzesco" so I just assumed tonight's gig was going to be there haha. I didn't know there were 2  castles with the same name:facepalm:

Anyway, I hope the weather holds good and wish a magical (and mosquito-free!) evening to all who attend:mika1:Enjoy!!

I look forward to seeing the pictures and reports. If this can be considered a preview of the "magic piano" tour Mika is planning, I'd be super :excite:!!

i checked the gig reports threads for 2009 and the earliest instances that I can find for these two songs are both from October 12, 2009, at Sound Academy in Toronto, Canada.

If we're talking concert performances.. then yes, the kickoff for the 1955 tour in Oct 09 at Toronto  is your date.

However, I saw Pick up off the floor (one of my all-time favorite songs) a bit earlier,  in late September. We went to BBC building in white city for a program and he performed it there (he did just a couple of songs).

The show was being recorded (not live) but there was a small audience of around two or three hundred (most of whom were Shakira fans, as she sang there, too). The program (Later With Jools Holland) aired in early October.. there must be a video of it somewhere... (¿?)

Ironically, the first time I saw "one foot boy" was in LA :teehee: but I didn't notice he was injured until the encore..

  11. Ah what an amazing tread! It's great to have all the dates collected in one place.

Thank you for all the hard work  I'm really not an internet person but my.. I'm starting to really like this forum.

I can confirm that Promiseland was done for the very first time at Cattolica. I'm aslo pretty sure that he performed Staring at the sun  in that gig, too (So, 5 days before the Swiss Estivale).

I remember because I had a terrible experience going in (I got heatstroke from queuing in the sun and there was so much pushing and shoving at the entrance that it became a bit dangerous and I almost left), but I endured it and afterwards I was so happy and thinking that it had all been worth it and I couldn't believe I'd almost missed two new songs!

  12. Oh this one sounds awesome :mika2:

Are you sure it's outdoors?? If they were only 200 tickets, wouldn't it be inside in a ball room or something?

He performed in that Castle in 2012 and there were sooooo many mosquitos malaria was a concern hahaha :lol3:

Well, I hope the lucky souls who attend can record some snippets. It's going to be Magical for sure.

Hello Edith and welcome to the MFC :welcomeani:

Do you live in Spain? Are you going to see him there? He is going to perform in three places. this year.

    Hope you enjoy this place.

    Yes, I'm currently in Spain.

I have tickets for BRAVA in September and I'm not sure if I can do Marbella, too.. I wish they'd announced that one sooner because there are cheap volotea flights to Malaga from where I live, but I already have tickets for some of the Italian gigs (couldn't wait) and I'm afraid it'll be too much leave time for the same month ..

I remember you from Barcelona 2015, you're a lucky lucky girl.:cloud: I hope I'll get to meet you.

    Welcome to the MFC :welcomeani:

I'm Eriko ( she / her ) from Japan, nice to meet you here !

    Hope this thread help you.

If you're looking for something at all MIKA or MFC related, you can come here and ask.

Any pictures, videos, interviews in the News section where it takes too long to search through our many pages, or you're just being lazy, or the search option isn't being too accurate, or you want to talk to a real person...

Thank you Eriko, that's super helpful.

I love Japan and everything Japanese.

Hope you can see Mika this month :D

  15. Hi, I'm Edith.

I tried to join the forum a couple of days ago, but It didn't seem to work and I'm still trying to figure out the mechanics of it all.  So, bear with me please, because I'm not a big internet or social media user (I had a myspace like a billion years ago and I use Youtube, but that's it).

I'm an old fan.  I was lucky to attend one of Mika's first gigs in 2006 and Gosh.. Did he make an impression..  So much talent and charm in such a beautiful package!!  How could anyone resist his spell??

Over the years, I've come to admire him more and more because he's beautiful inside, too and just such an authentic and considerate soul.

Plus, his music is really addictive! Even after all this time, I can still listen to him on a loop and I doubt I'll ever get sick of his incredible voice.

It's been 7 years since I last saw him perform and I'm really STARVED as a fan  but now that I'm back in Europe, I hope I'll get to see him soon.

I look forward to meeting you all :)
