Gogol Bordello

If any band out there deserves a thread on MFC then that's definitely Gogol Bordello. I went to their concert last Friday and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. They are fcking phenomanal.

I like everything about them...first their music which is absolutely brilliant. You just can't stand still when you listen to it. Then I really like their performance- they have so much energy and they're fun to watch. I was a fan before I went to this gig but now I like them even more, and I can't wait to see them again this summer.

They're super weird, and I want to see them live a lot one day haha... I love the music style. It doesn't really have a genre...

You're welcome. I was a bit sceptic at first too but after seeing them live I knew it is a must to have a thread about them.

I know I'm lucky I saw them. I live in a small country and not many great bands come to play here so it was a really pleasant surprise to see they announced a gig.

Well I hope you'll be able to see them soon. It'll blow your mind!

 

 

Oh and Eugene rocks. While the opening act was playing (oh they were awesome too) he came out and danced to their music...well actually the venue still wasn't full at that point so he was the only person to dance right under the stage. It was hilarious.

Never heard of them but the name just rocks when you now "gogol" means "retarded" in french, and "bordel" means "place where you find prostitutes"
