:naughty: I love that song. I think it is the same group who played with Coldplay and Maroon 5 some years ago. Buenavista Social Club if I'm not wrong, a group of old Cuban men.

sounds very nice :naughty:

I've seen past editions of this album here before. uhmm. yes.

I feel like drinking a piña colada on the beach now.

Yes, it was the Buena Vista Social Club guys :naughty:

Amazon told me that the album with the Kooks / Kaiser Chiefs will be released on July 31, so I didnt bother looking it up somewhere else :naughty:. But I already preordered it along with Paolo Nutini's new record :cheerful_h4h:.

The Bournemouth Opera House is sold out with precisely 1925 fans of The Kooks, who are playing the Opera House as a warm up for tomorrow’s show at the Eden Project. After a two hour car journey, battling through the Friday night traffic, we arrived at Bournemouth Opera House, to catch the final couple of songs of support band Born Blonde. Within half an hour, the lights went down, and the red velvet curtains opened, before the band walked on stage. Lead singer Luke Pritchard, with recently cut hair took centre stage, greeted the crowd, before launching straight into ‘Always Where I Need To Be’, which saw him throwing himself around the stage with a microphone stand. This was followed by some songs from their debut album – ‘Matchbox’, ‘Eddie’s Gun’, and ‘Ooh La’, which went down a storm with the crowd.

The Kooks have had numerous hits in the chart in the last couple of years, and this was shown when the band preceded to play ‘She Moves In Her Own Way’, which had every member of the crowd singing their heart out. The story was similar during ‘Naïve’ as well, which was a highlight of mine. During one song, Luke left the stage, and jumped onto the speaker stacks, before launching himself into the crowd, much to the crowd’s delight. The set was then closed with ‘You Don’t Love Me’, which saw the crowd below going mental, and desperate for more. After the band had left the stage, Luke reappeared a couple of minutes later, to play some solo songs – ‘Princess Of My Mind’ (a very mellow, brilliant, unreleased number), ‘Seaside’ (which was an amazing highlight of the show), and ‘Watching The Ships Roll In’. The rest of the band then walked on stage, to end the set with ‘Stormy Weather’ and ‘Sofa Song’.

Highlights for me would be ‘Ooh La’, ‘One Last Time’, ‘Do You Wanna’, ‘Naïve’, ‘Shine On’, ‘Princess of My Mind’, and ‘Sofa Song’. This was the second time I’d seen The Kooks, and this gig has left me looking forward to their next album.

The full setlist: Always Where I Need To Be, Matchbox, Eddie's Gun, Ooh La, Sway, Time Awaits, One Last Time, She Moves In Her Own Way, Mr Maker, Do You Wanna, Naive, Rainbow, Down To The Market, Shine On, See The World, You Don't Love Me ---- Princess Of My Mind, Seaside, Watching The Ships Roll In, Stormy Weather, Sofa Song
